Australia is just as bad as europe, at least in the urban and semi rural areas where Mobile coverage is pretty much widespread. Living any where more rural would be too impractical for work. My symptoms started in Oz.

Hi Evie,
You're not the only one.

Stephen, have you traveled to South America? or New Zealand? or Australia?
Or have you really tried any places at least 8 Km from the cities and
visible towers?

With the one exception of Thailand, everywhere you mentioned is in Europe.

Maybe anyone else here could tell us their experience in traveling to
other countries. There must be somewhere we can hide from the modern
madness.

Hi Stewart,

No I haven't been outside Europe in the past 3 years except in Thailand...

> Or have you really tried any places at least 8 Km from the cities and
> visible towers?

I don't think it is possible to go 8 km away from any cellphone/3G/UMTS-tower in France/Germany/UK/Netherlands!

Maybe on a canoe?! 2 weeks ago I went to UK with the ferry and my headache started a copple of miles before arriving at the shore
(and at the meantime I had no idea we were that close to England I was reading a book inside!)...

My best guess is that it has got to do with 3G/UMTS. According to scientists 3G is a lot more harmful than 2G (only cellphone). The past few hours I've been reading more info. about 3G:

-In Thailand they have got no 3G (but they plan it for the future).

-In Belgium they have got 3G and they use 2100 MHz-band and (since 2008) the 900 MHz-band. In other European countries they use 2100 MHz but will start using 900 MHz (and maybe 1800 MHz). Download speed of 3G is 7.2 Mbps in Belgium and in other European countries it is the same or less. But I still don't see any explanation why I'm okey in Belgium and not in the other European-countries...

P.S.

http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/index.shtm

This is an interesting website on 3G. On the following link you can:

-Click in the list on a country and check whether it has 3G enlisted... (for Belgium they made a mistake. It should be "3G 900/2100" instead of "3G 2100")

-Check on the map what kind of frequencies they use... Download the pdf's. If the country is written in red letters it has got 3G. I kinda like Africa? ;-)

Here a list of some countries (I haven't checked all of them yet) that havegot no 3G at this moment, according to that website:

Albania
Argentina
Cuba
French West Indies
Haïti
India
Jamaica
Mali
Morocco
Russia (except Northwestern part)
San Marino
Thailand (3G is planned for the future )
Turkey
Vietnam
Yemen
Zimbabwe

Big Smile. This topic doesn't make me smile often but I have often kidded my husband and said I would have to find others who are affected by EMS andbuy some land and live in an electromagnetic free commune. Also, with organic farming.

Best of luck,

Jennie

Stephen,

I did not find your comments mocking. I think many of us have had the samethoughts as you. I am a person who tends to be very animated when I talk and write!! :) While I am a very responsible person I look at the positive and lighter side of life. And I think if I didn't temper handling the struggles that EMS, MCS and allergies have brought into my life with some humor I would end up being depressed or chemical dependent. Even though our lives are limited, they can still be full of joy and life!

Take care and best of luck,

Jennie

:)

Hi Charles,

Yes maybe the problem could be what you're mentioning about the cellphone/GSM- frequency. ..

By the way, it's not like I'm pessimistic or I haven't tried to heal myself. The past 3 years I've done a lot to get better, and I'm still learning every day ;)

greets,
Stephen.

Indeed Belgium is a small country.
You don't have to travel to Thailand, there are many places in Belgium,
where the elektrosmog is very low.
Especially in the borden regions.

Along the autoroutes, in Belgium the masts are merely GSM1800, where in the
Netherlands the most part are GSM900, which harm more.

The TETRA, in Belgium called the Astrid network, is not so overwhelming as
in the Netherlands.

Electrosensitives should stay far away from magnets, even when they are
called, Bio.

Puk replies - You may be reacting to what I call electromesh or perhaps
electromess ! the chaotic combination of all the emissions from the millions
of devices throwing out wireless data signals may for you have hit the
jackpot, its like that one arm bandit in the casino, keep pulling and sooner or
later you strike lucky or in this case unlucky and you are not evan pulling
the lever ! Maybe for you the specific sattelite arrays that orbit over
these countries along with the terestrial devices are affecting you in an
anomolous way. Have you tried metering or sheilding ? Also dont forget that
in the countryside often the power of mobiles and indeed the masts are
often set to greater levels to cover greater distances.

The more I read your post, the more I want to find out WHY
you can tolerate living in Belgium and less so in other
EU countries.

Not being conspiratorial, I can't help thinking that Brussels,

Well, hum, who knows what else is going on other than
Elektrosmog?

There may be other pollutants involved making the ES/EMF
worse?

Re: Just a crazy story

charles-4
The answer is quite simple.

Where other countries do follow the guide lines from ICNIRP, Belgium has
used lower values, and now is lowering them again.

For instance: for GSM900:
ICNIRP says 41 V/m
Belgium was 20.9 V/m
Belgium now 3 V/m

Some cities in France now 0.6 V/m.
City of Paris uses max 2 V/m.

A person who had much trouble in Amsterdam (Netherlands) travelled by train
to Paris, stayed there for two weeks and had no trouble there at all.

Re: Just a crazy story

S.T.
In reply to this post by stephen_vandevijvere
Hi Stephen,

Nothing in your story is crazy or unusual in regards to feeling better or worse depending on the geographic location. If I did not go back and forth between Europe (feel like a million bucks in Austria, Croatia, South of Italy, Paris) and North America, I would not have discovered that it is EMS bothering me. I would lose 7 kilos in two weeks while in Europe and put them all back in one week coming back home to Canada. I guarantee you that I ate a lot more and moved LESS while in Europe. Itis just a part of the EMS issue. However, your advantage is that you live in a place that does not bother you. How LUCKY is that?!

The most important thing is a self-diagnosis, pulling your sleeves up and starting to repair yourself. In the last 10 months I have taken some drastic and costly measures such as; moved out of Toronto to the countryside, pulled out many grams of metal (implants, crowns, amalgam) out of my mouth , following Dr. Kelley's cancer treatment with liver enemas and gallbladder flushes, and some easy ones such as; throwing away my beloved coil mattress, replacing it with the latex, buying filters and all kinds of gadgets for EMS, doing homoeopathic and various other daily treatments.

Now I am well enough to look at and start working on the mental aspect and hopefully delete some of the corrupt brain files through clearings and takecare of the emotional problems that helped EMS developed in my body.  Basically from being bed ridden I am functional and gettingbetter all the time. It took years to screw up my immune system, it will take years to repair it.

Your advantage is that you feel better at home so you can slowly work on itand eventually travelling will not be a problem at all.

Sandra

Hi Sandra, interesting post. With regards to "corrupt brain files" may I ask what methods you are using? . I have found EFT to be quite helpful for health and balance in general, but found "The emotion code" by Bradley Nelson to be an unmitigating disaster ( uses magnets).

The most important thing is a self-diagnosis,  pulling your sleeves upand starting to repair yourself. In the last 10 months I have taken some drastic and costly measures such as; moved out of Toronto to the countryside, pulled out many grams of metal (implants, crowns, amalgam)out of my mouth , following Dr.

I don't think it is possible to go 8 km away from any cellphone/3G/ UMTS-tower in France/Germany/ UK/Netherlands!

But I still don't see any explanation why I'm okey in Belgium and not in the other European-countries. ..

P.S.

Haïti
India
Jamaica
Mali
Morocco

Re: Just a crazy story

S.T.
Yes I would say it is EFT. Through this group I met Bill from Florida who has helped in guiding me how to acquire some basic knowledge such as muscle testing etc. I hope to
learn more in the coming months but it is another time consuming skill for sure. It is just finding the time between working, detoxing etc.

Hi Puk,

No I'haven't metered anything because I know it is very low from some points I was in Netherlands or UK...

It must be a specific type of signal I definitely can't stand...

Shielding: once I wore a shielding shirt in the Netherlands, hard to say ifit made a difference...

Can someone put that in laymen's terms. Lower frequencies?

The answer is quite simple.

Where other countries do follow the guide lines from ICNIRP, Belgium has
used lower values, and now is lowering them again.

For instance: for GSM900:
ICNIRP says 41 V/m
Belgium was 20.9 V/m
Belgium now 3 V/m

Some cities in France now 0.6 V/m.
City of Paris uses max 2 V/m.

A person who had much trouble in Amsterdam (Netherlands) travelled by train
to Paris, stayed there for two weeks and had no trouble there at all.

Stephen

The more I read your post, the more I want to find out WHY
you can tolerate living in Belgium and less so in other
EU countries.

Not being conspiratorial, I can't help thinking that Brussels,
holds the seat for several EU institutions.

Well, hum, who knows what else is going on other than
Elektrosmog?

There may be other pollutants involved making the ES/EMF
worse?

Grasping at staws, but who knows?

I admit I have a cell phone! I put it on speaker and almost never I call longer than one minute, usually I call back with standard phone... I remind never to keep it close...

I have had a 3G card on my laptop for like one month but it was indeed untolerable. It was temporary as I didn't have internet on that location...

At my house or at my work I have everything non-wireless... The cable guy who installed the Internet here was surprised I wasn't gonna take his offer for the free wireless router. The non-wireless option was actually more expensive! But he got it settled... one year later he is probably still in doubt why the hell anybody would prefer a non-wireless version! ;)

Hi Kooky,

Well I'm really 99% certain it is EMF... It is difficult to explain why I'msure about this...

3 years ago it was even worse than now. And then I could sense it even better once I was going into another country...

It began 3 years ago, I was driving to the Belgian coast, I kinda like to drive, and was taking the country route through Netherlands. I was like 15' in the Netherlands (low-emf region: Zeeland) got a headache and after doingthis route for 2 times, I thought this must be coincidence... So I drove again for a longer period...

Because my symptoms really depend 100% on which side of the border I am(give or take a copple of miles) it's almost certain it is 2G or 3G... Because only the cell phone masts are emitting not much further than the border...

Hello Charles,

It could be but I don't think so because:

-I'm no good in France either (have been to Lille)
-I'm no good on the countryside in the Netherlands or England where emission is definitely lower than 3 V/m...
-I have no trouble in the centre of Brussels
(except one specific place "Atomium")

There was a member here a few years back from the Netherlands who was in terrible shape there. She moved to ?Costa Rica for some time, but incoming masts caused her to leave.

Last I heard from her, she'd moved to Vietnam and was doing very nicely there for relief of EMF symptoms.
