Re: Filter comparison II

Hi, Steve and Marc,

Hope you don't mind my jumping into this conversation.  (Btw, the forum has been prolific in the past week--I had over 200 emails since I left last week!  It will take me another month just to catch up!  lol)  Steve, I, like Marc, love Quantum products and see great help symptom-wise from them.  I also found detoxing is huge at first when you use Quantum products.  I was warned of this when I bought mine.  I didn't heed the warning, because I really needed reduction of ES symptoms badly--I could not sleep at all or sit down in that house.  I was willing to put up with the bad detox symptoms rather than have to endure the ES ones.  HOWEVER, I paid a price for doing so.  I had anaccident due to foggy thinking which nearly cost me the use of my left hand (and really my life--I severed a major artery.)  So, it is best to heed the warnings of the company rep.  Go slowly when you buy a Quantumproduct.  In the case of the strips, I would built
up tolerance slowly by using them an increasing number of hours each day--maybe starting with only 1 hour.

My 2 cents,
Diane

Actually, if I go back to when I first started using the Quantum stuff,
the pattern was this:

-- felt unusually good the first day
-- felt like crap for the next several days

The feeling like crap is detox.

If you think that is happening to you, and the Quantum stuff is the
cause, just cut back. But maybe you're feeling lousy for other
reasons.

But you won't want to do that forever, or you won't detox anything.  Drats.  lol  I used to LUUUUV grapefruit; now I know why.  Itstops with the liver detox phases.

Grapefruit stops liver phase I activity, which has a nice side effect
of stopping detox and making you feel better. But of course, since
the goal is the *eventually* detox, you should not take it all the
time.

I think this also applies to Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE). At least,
a few drops of this can often make me feel better. But maybe that
is the anti-fungal/bacterial/virus properties (?)

The thing is, some people notice nothing at all from this
stuff, so it's impossible to predict who is going to detox
and who is not.

The nice thing about the Quantum Products is that you can
unplug them or turn them off, and they are no longer affecting
you. There are other EMF protection devices (pendants, etc.)
that I have found to be so strong and so intolerable that
I had to simply banish them from the house, as there was no
way to turn them off. I remember one was so bad that I drove
it to a local park and abandoned it in a bush...

I don't know the specifics... judging by my own "feel good" times, I'd
guess a few hours? Some prescription medications specifically warn
against eating grapefruit, as the liver won't metabolize the drugs
properly.

Hi Diane,
I wasn't warned by the company but marc warned me and I didn't listen like a fool.
I now only have one outlet model which my fridge is plugged into. I unplugged the rest and turned the software off. Lets see what happens.

Well, Diane order a Quantum Pro, which is about a zillion times stronger
[more or less :-) ] than the Quantum power outlet. So I think a warning
would be in order for that. I don't think the company would expect
a detox reaction from the outlet.

Its possible it is just a coincidence. I just have the 2 minimax outlets inthe kitchen now. I dont think I'll notice anything different. The 5 outletdoesn't seem to be as effective as the 3 outlets, at least according to the entech meter

Yes, but the Entech meter doesn't measure whatever is causing the
detox...

I think it depends on a number of factors -- how
much noise is in the environment (which would
lessen its effectiveness), where it is placed,
etc.

When Vinny Pinto recently sold his Quantum
Home unit on eBay, he somehow came up with
effective radius of 85 feet. The Quantum
Pro is supposed to be quite a bit stronger
than the Quantum Home. These things have
a knob which you can used to reduce the
strength.

It is bad or good depending on what your objective is, Loni.  If you want to feel temporarily better, eat it.  But if you actually want to get toxins out of your body, don't eat it.  In other words, if you havea really bad detox reaction, or are always foggy headed, it will give you temporary relief; but you are not going to want to use it all the time.

Hi, Loni,

For me personally, it slows detox for around 4 hours--it depends on how fast your metabolism is, probably.  Grapefruit contains a chemical, naringenin, which slows phase I detox.  You may love grapefruit, Loni, because you are a "pathological detoxifier"--someone who has a fast phase I, but slow phase II.

True, but Steve also has put in multiple strips--it might be why he isfeeling "off".  (And also, I didn't write this only for Steve; I think it bares repeating occasionally).  Yes, you can put up with detox symptoms, but it might be unwise to do so.  Certainly, the detox I was experiencing from the Q Pro was alot more than Steve is likely dealing with.  But when one gets these gadgets he/she doesn't necessarilyknow what to expect.  You are looking for good results and it can be confusing when you get detox going on.

Hi, Loni,

You ask:
"How much space does the Quantum Pro cover?"

I don't know for sure--I think it was around 3500 to 4000 sq ft.  (My house is 2100 sq ft, counting the basement.)  I was told, however, that the size is not the entire consideration.  You have a dial, and thenfine-tuning settings on the Q Pro.  Once the dial is maxed out, it was my understanding that you needed to add another device to it.  This is based on a discussion I had with Margi, the company rep, whereI mentioned to her that I was 3/4 up the dial and we yet intended to add on our garage to the electric panel.  She mentioned that I might need an extra device.  We haven't done that yet, so I cannot say yet whether that will ultimately be necessary or not.
