I recently met with a bed manufacturing company that has a unique bed made with no springs and they can determine which bed is right for you based on boby measurements and sleeping patterns. I was impressed that there are no springs and thought of us ES folks. Here is their website http://www.customsleepdesign.com/ and I was curious about what you all thought of or if you have found other solution?

About 2 months ago I gave my metal bed frame to the Salvation Army and had a slatted wooden platform made for my mattress. But it sure is expensive even using plain standard wood. However I do sleep much better now. I didn't have any complaints with the metal frame -but this supports the mattress much better in my opinion.

I didn't express myself very well - I did not have any issues with the metal frame in the past- not until I developed EMS did the metal frame cause any problems. I got a wooden bed platform because my bed was vibrating all night. It felt like when a large truck goes by - the ground seems to vibrate, well my bed did that all night.
Now I also have a canopy made from Swiss Shield Naturel and I sleep so deeply that if the house caught on fire I don't know if I would wake up. I know I haven't slept this well for at least 4 years.. Most nights I would wake up at least 4 times a night, and I would be soaked from perspiration --now that does not happen anymore. I am not happy with how much I paid for the canopy --it was a total fluke and I was just lucky that I happened to get the money for it - but I cannot argue how much better it is to get a decent night's sleep. But it annoys me - it would have been nice if I could have spent some of that money on something that I enjoyed....... blessings Shan --- In [hidden email], "bestsurprise2" <surpriseshan2@...> wrote: > > About 2 months ago I gave my metal bed frame to the Salvation Army and had a slatted wooden platform made for my mattress. Shan, I'm curious as to what type of mattress you have. Does it have
innersprings? I have a wood bed frame, but the latex mattress I bought hurt my back. So I'm sleeping on an air mattress (vinyl - ugh!), but really, really want a solid organic mattress with support/ comfort such as is found with an inner spring mattress. Also, have MCS so am concerned about off-gassing from a canopy. If you don't have MCS, you might not have noticed a chemical smell, but in case you do have MCS, can you tell me if you had a problems with it chemical-wise? At the moment I have an ordinary Sears mattress - I bought it in 1980 -- which is more then 30 years old. No springs thank goodness. I have been thinking of getting a new mattress for the last couple of years --but now I would need to get an organic wool/latex mattress. I am planning on applying for a grant next year to get one.
I have had MCS since 1988. How did the latex mattress harm your back? My doctor has MCS and she likes the latex mattresses. Yes,the canopy smelled when I bought it -- not horribly but I have MCS and had to wash it --I washed it with a cup of baking soda dissolved in the water and hung it up to dry. But the one I bought is made of Swiss Shield "Naturell" material http://www.safelivingtechnologies.ca/RF/products_rf_fabric.htm which is all cotton except the metal woven in. I also gave myself a laser treatment - it is a lot like a NAET treatment only one uses a red or green laser over all the acupuncture points in the ear, bottom of feet and hands. Laser Field Repatterning by Andreanna Rainville RN Dr Klinghardt'nurse secretary Andreanna Rainville did a PowerPoint presentation that shows how to do laser restructuring by scanning the body, soles, ears etc. with a 5mw green laser. http://andreannarainville.com/practical_uses.html Meridian Laser Technique Video by Sandi Radomski ND www.allergyantidotes.com Free DOWNLOAD Meridian Laser Technique DVD -- download for Windows & one for Macs - http://www.allergyantidotes.com/Thank_You.html I am not great at this protocol as I have only used it a couple of times so far and I have had to give myself 3 treatments before it took - I reacted to the wood the bed platform was made of for example and it took 3 treatments before I completely stopped reacting to it. However I have ordered a green laser and some vials to do the proper protocol. I also plan to use the green laser for detoxing. Wow! Thanks for all the info and links! I did NAET for several years
in the late 1990's - early 2000's. I suspect I've lost all my clearings by now. Hadn't heard about the laster techniques, etc. Will have to explore everything you've posted when I can. Good to know the canopy is cotton. I've tried some EMF shielding things w/ silver and poly fabric, and it seems to make my ES worse. In answer your question about my mattress problem, it aggravated an old tailbone injury. The mattress was a Savvy Rest with three layers of dunlop latex, and an organic cotton and wool casing that could be zipped open to change the layer configuration. I ordered a medium- soft-soft because I'd tried that combination out at a store and it seemed firm enough. However, when I slept on it at home, I sank into it and that aggravated my low back and tailbone (pain!). I exchanged one soft layer for a firm layer, but it didn't help. Even just using the firm and medium layers didn't work. To be fair, I realized months later that the fact that in preparation for delivery of the bed frame and mattress, I moved heavy stuff out of the bedroom and vacuumed probably caused some of the low back/tailbone problem. The Saavy Rest website has a good explanation of the difference between dunlop and talalay latex. I recall also reading somewhere that the difference between the two types is like sponge cake vs. angel food cake. I tried a different brand of latex bed at another store, and the salesperson told me that having a stretchy organic cotton cover is better because the latex can move/respond better. I also just plain didn't like the smell of latex. It doesn't go away. I like the feel of an innerspring mattress because of the "bounciness", but I'm afraid ES has eliminated that option for me. The latex just didn't seem to be supportive in the places I needed it to be. I sank into it, rather than being supported by it. I'd suggest asking for samples to be sent to you to see if you can tolerate the latex. If not, you could do clearings on the latex before you get the bed. Also, if you live somewhere there is a showroom for any brand latex mattresses, you could try one out to get an idea if it would work for you. Good luck! Hi Shan
thanks so much for sharing the links; I think lasers if used correctly & wisely are the most efficient & quickest method so far. I have seen "miracles" with different uses of lasers regarding pain, depression etc. There are many creative ways being developed in recent yrs, the CLRT is one using cheap laser pens. google CLRT; my friend has great success using lasers on meridians points & combining with frequencies (eg Bach, muscle, organs etc) which can be programmed into his Quantum wave lasers, great amazing lasers but terribly expensive in my opinion. The most advance laser is the true optic fiber "chiren" bio-photon in biontology. It uses healing frequencies as well as inverted freqs signals to immediately neutralize junks & disturbances eg mercury, metal , chemical toxins bacteria etc & even emotional traumas etc. If I haven't spent all the money on my quantum wave lasers, rife devices & others, I would do the biontology training straight away. HEALING WITH SINGLE FREQUENCY LIGHT http://www.consumerhealth.org/articles/display.cfm?ID=20000102232338 http://www.tcmstudent.com/study_tools/Ear%20Chart.html To be on safe side, do not shine lasers to the eyes , eyelids must be closed if lasering near eyes; I often laser on people round the eyes & I use sunbed goggles like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Pairs-Sunbed-Goggles-Tanning-Goggles-UV-Goggles-/221069981305#ht_500wt_701 To increase & strengthen energy, try laser 5 minutes to 10 mins (depending on your laser)on kidney 1 accu points on both feet http://www.yinyanghouse.com/acupuncturepoints/kd1 warmest alice --- In [hidden email], "bestsurprise2" <surpriseshan2@...> wrote: > > At the moment I have an ordinary Sears mattress - I bought it in 1980 -- which is more then 30 years old. Shan,
Did you have to put anything under your bed as well to block EMF coming from underneath? The beds I mention can be organic and use talalay latex which is made here in the states and is different from other latex. His website explains further. He creates a custom bed based on your body... None of the mattress are shipped without your body and partners measurements. The website is and I make no financial gain from recommending them.

No- I haven't. But I need something because my bed still vibrates, though I don't sweat at lot at night anymore and don't even wake up all night anymore - but the whole floor in my bedroom feels as if a huge truck was driving through it. Actually standing near the furnace in the basement feels the same so I think it is the furnace. However I cannot turn the furnace off as the fan is needed by my whole house air filtration unit. If I needed any confirmation that it was the furnace,I got it last night - I was turning off several breakers before going to bed and I turned off one that said it was for the washer - well my furnace went off [it seems that it uses the same plug as the washer] However when the furnace went off, the floor stopped moving and this loud banging noise stopped. But it all started again when I turned the furnace back on -- I was sorely tempted to leave the furnace off............
I was told that my main problem was all the cell towers beaming through the roof into my house and front & back yards -- I do have 3 smart meters now but the person whom checked the frequencies in my house said he could "barely hear the smart meters in most of the house because the cell towers made so much noise". ---- I am only about 200 yards from 10 towers on top of an apartment building. There were 2 places he could still get a good reading on the smart meters though- in one end of my kitchen and and in the basement in front of the closet where the electrical breaker is, plus one smart meter , and my phone lines. The furnace is at the other end of the basement however. and my understanding was that it created an electromagnetic field -do you know how to shield from electromagnetic fields? I evidently have electricity in the water pipes [1330 m.amps on main water entrance]; as well as the gas pipes [330 m. amps on gas line]; also there was a lot of electricity where the grounding [890 m.amps on Ground] in the basement is --- I was told that I need to move 'the ground' and it needs an electrician to do it. I don't know how much this could be causing electromagnetic fields in the house. Until I get an electrician,do you have any ideas about how to shield this? I was wondering if those Graham-Stetzer filters would help? any ideas? Or is there any material or whatever I could put under my bed? I am running out of money so need to know what to do first or buy first..........When what I have is gone, there will not be anymore for at least 10 months or more...... blessings Shan --- In [hidden email], "ellen" <variegatedfoliage@...> wrote: > > Shan, > > Did you have to put anything under your bed as well to block EMF coming from underneath? > > Thanks, > Ellen > ----- Original Message ----- > From: bestsurprise2 > To: [hidden email] > Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2012 9:28 PM > Subject: [eSens] Re: Beds for ES > > > > I didn't express myself very well - I did not have any issues with the metal frame in the past- not until I developed EMS did the metal frame cause any problems. When I'm mentally ready to buy a new bed I'm going to buy an organic cotton futon with a layer of wool on it. You might want to look into something like that.
I have fibro so I will most likey have to add a a cuddle ewe wool cover to it or a simple foam cover like I have now (it off gases pretty quickly andd smells like nothing after a few days-depending on the brand you buy-don't go cheap and don't go tempurpedic) Steve --- In [hidden email], Esther LeSieur <gomma@...> wrote: > > Wow! The premise of this mattress sounds good, but there's no indication
they use an organic cotton cover. Are you saying it can be custom ordered with an organic cotton cover? Wool? I'm a bit put off by the fact that in order to get a "free" custom body profile, you have to register with the site. That sounds like sales calls to me.... I tried an organic wool bed at a showroom. It was very uncomfortable
for me, though I know you can buy latex strip to put on your wood slats, and that might help. Wool mattress compact over time, but the problem is that they don't compact evenly, i.e. where you sleep on it gets squished down more than where you don't. I also have a cuddle ewe topped I used on my previous organic cotton/wool bed (w/ innersprings). The first month it was like sleeping in a cloud. After that, it compacted, but still was nice to have on top of the mattress. I put a latex topped under it, too, which helped. I tried it on top of the latex mattress, but because I sank into the mattress, it didn't help with my body being in a bad position. Even if the synthetic foam sheet doesn't smell, it continues off- gassing toxic chemicals. Same w/ the vinyl air mattress I'm currently sleeping on, which is why I need to get something else. I have MCS so the strips are a problem --they use glue to keep the strips in place, and most glues contain formaldehyde. I don't know if anyone makes glue that does not contain formaldehyde because the formaldehyde is what makes the glue sticky - but I am pretty sure one can buy a 'safer' glue at stores that specialize in 'green' products or products that use less chemicals. In my bed I cannot feel the wooden slats most of the time, and the slats seem to have some spring or give to them --I was told that some woods have more spring then others so what kind of wood is used for the slates would make a difference.
Also how many slates they makes a difference as well as how close together they are. blessings Shan --- In [hidden email], Esther LeSieur <gomma@...> wrote: > > I tried an organic wool bed at a showroom. I would happily spend any amount of money to get a good night's sleep
I have a wooden frame bed and a memory foam mattress and still my be vibrates - worse some times than others - at times when it is at the worst it feels like the bed is going to lift off the ground the vibrations are so strong - would a canopy help with that do you think? Now I also have a canopy made from Swiss Shield Naturel and I sleep so deeply that if the house caught on fire I don't know if I would wake up. I know I haven't slept this well for at least 4 years.. Whether it would help you and how much depends on what frequencies are causing the bed to vibrate -- do you have any idea? If smear meters were on the other side of your bedroom wall, it would be a pretty good bed that it was them but unless you have truly good idea, it is a lot of money to spend especially if it does not help. That was why I put out the money to get somebody who can test for the different kinds of frequencies, in particular dirty electricity, RF and microwave radiation, plus electromagnetic fields. It was annoying putting out the money just to get my house tested, but it would be pretty terrible to pay lots of money for things that did not help at all. At least I now know what my problems are which is a giant step in my perception to knowing what to do or buy etc to remedy my situation.
If your problem is RF or Microwave Radiation them the material that my canopy would help you but unless you wouldn't miss that much money if the problem was something else. I would not spend that kind of money unless I was a sure as I could be that it would made a big difference,,,,, blessings Shan If you could not have enough money to pay for an assessment of your living area then maybe could you afford to pay it over a few months? Some people will accept that.............. --- In [hidden email], Stephanie Smith <reader41@...> wrote: > > I would happily spend any amount of money to get a good night's sleep > > I have a wooden frame bed and a memory foam mattress and still my be vibrates - worse some times than others - at times when it is at the worst it feels like the bed is going to lift off the ground the vibrations are so strong - would a canopy help with that do you think? I have been thinking .......... maybe if you tried something that costs very little like maybe aluminum like those 'Emergency blankets' [also called 'car blankets' and 'first aid blankets' and are sometimes in the Sports department] -- they cost about 3 to 5 dollars each at WalMart - they reflect RF Microwave Radiation such as smart meters, cell towers, and cell phones - my reasoning is if you buy 3 or 4 of those and put one under your bed [if you live in an apartment especially] and over the bed or hang against the wall where you suspect frequencies are coming from and it reduces significantly the frequencies [and symptoms] then it would be safe to assume that the canopy I bought would do the same things. But first maybe somebody that knows more about aluminum then I do and what it reflects would speak up and tell us if the aluminum also protects against other frequencies like dirty electricity and electromagnetic fields ?

STEPHANIE AND SHAUN. I am intrigued to learn that you both experience vibrating beds. I do too, and I thought it must be from some under ground work the Navy is doing all night here in San Diego. May I suggest that we catalogue what parts of the country produce these vibrations? If it isn't from an electro-magnetic field, what else might it be? Some think the earth is being affected by a nearby asteroid or "planet-X" type of influence. Who knows?
I can't imagine how a mere electro-magnetic field could cause actual vibrations in the bed, even if it is made with metal springs. The entire earth is surrounded by a field but we don't experience an earth vibration from it. The surface is covered with devices that cause fields... you know, cell towers, high voltage, etc... but the world isn't vibrating as a result! Why would our beds? I propose that we who are experiencing this phenomenon make note of where we live that it is happening. Maybe we could see a pattern... maybe it is something going on underground, ala the Taos, N.M. hum. I am in San Diego... actually, Imperial Beach, the most southwestern city in the U.S. A couple of miles north of Tijuana, Mexico, right on the coast. I get the vibes, and if I move from my usual bed to the livingroom couch I still get the vibes. On a visit to my son in Chewelah, WA, I slept in his wooden bed in his guest house and I swear I felt the vibes there. I thought it must be me! But I see I have lots of company... please share where you are. Marji |
