Okay it has been since last Friday when those meters have been installed. My symptoms now include suddenly not breathing or choking for no reason, constant washing over of emfs which feels like a vibration over the head and body, nausea with uncontrolled rapid digestion or movement of the stomach and intestines, along with extreme fatigue as I cannot sleep for more than 3 hours tops at night. I am very tempted to move into a motel or something, if it is safe, just to be able to sleep. My health is rapidly declining. My doc put me on beta blockers to ward off those muscle and "heart" pains I get, especially as the evening wears on.
One of my daughters is getting a Nook for Christmas, not my idea but my husband's and another daughter. It was fine before the meter problem but I have read about this wi-fi thing. This would be the first of its kind in the house here. What are the dangers of this thing with me now? Thanks for your info in advance. |

I haven't tried one. I would listen to Mark said he had problems w the Kindle. I don't' think it's a good idea for your eyes staring at the light they have. I feel those emf vibrations from our neighbor's wi-fi & their meters. I hope you can get the smart meter removed. It's terrible what these cause. I know that you are telling the truth. What does your Dr. say about this development? Can someone advocate for you locally?

Joyce,
Ask your doctor to write a letter stating it's a medical necessity too have the smart meter removed & replaced with analog meter. If you can swing the price of a hotel & your symptoms are less there, do it. You should get some type of meter to help find a safe place to sleep. I got our utility co's to remove ours with a doctors. letter. Kathy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I think that the time has come for organizing a separate group for smart meters, apart from the esens group.

But I'm not volunteering to start one... :-) But I assume if this is such an important topic to some people, then SOMEONE should be willing to start/maintain such a group? And then some of the Smart Meter discussions which have been taking place could be moved there. Marc |

And since I was getting symptoms even with the Wi-Fi/3G turned off, I have to assume the symptoms were caused by the electronics within the Kindle. Interestingly, I then purchased a small Netbook (laptop), which was FAR more tolerable than the Kindle. And something that I could connect to the Internet with Wi-Fi and 3G by using a long USB extension cord and USB Wif-Fi/3G transmitter/receivers. Marc |

There are several anti-SmartMeter groups on Facebook.
For Californians, at least you have the opt-out option: http://www.ksbw.com/money/30033116/detail.html Go somewhere else, there will likely be none. Still, I think there are some people (like myself) who prefer YahooGroups over website forums, Facebook groups, etc. So it is somewhat surprising that nobody has started an Anti-Smart Meter YahooGroup. Maybe it won't happen until I start rejecting more posts here... (I'm already rejecting some). Marc |

Hmmm, even if you do opt-out, Californians still have to put up with the Smart Meters of all of their neighbors. Better to move somewhere where there are no smart meters. Or better to move somewhere where the smart meters are either not wireless or only transmit once per day or less (not continuously as they are in California). So from my viewpoint, it seems like California is probably the worse place to live (from a Smart Meter standpoint). Marc |

I just did a search on YahooGroups and found this group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StopSmartMetersOC/ This looks like it was set up for a specific part of the country... I don't know if the group creator would want to generalize this group to all parts of the country or not? Marc |

Hi Marc,
What is your objection to having info posted on this board about smart meters effects and how to deal with them? One of the major causes of ES is smart meters. The reason I came to this group is because I started developing ES after my neighbor got a smart meter. This is where I received validation that the symptoms I was developing most certainly were precipitated by the smart meter and most certainly are ES. I also learned that it is most certain I also have come sensitized to other neighbor's wifi, and the cell towers and antennas in the area. Other topics discussed here have been about the effects from cell towers, house wiring, TV's, computers, cell phone, cordless phones, transformers, light poles, etc. and how to deal with them. Why are smart meters different? As a person who feels very alone in my ES, and knowing that other people are contending with the same issue, having people post about what is happening with them concerning the effects they are experiencing from smart meters and how they are dealing with it, is very helpful to me. I've learned where people are moving to to get away from them, which may also be necessary for me. If people are talking about smart meters in the context of their relationship to ES, why is it different? I get info here that isn't available to me elsewhere. If there ARE smart meter groups, they are most likely oriented toward activism, rather than how to deal with the health effects. I suggest that smart meter posts be allowed; those who aren't being affected by them, and thus who aren't interested in them could just skip them. I do believe I'm not the only one who is being helped by them, but perhaps I am wrong. I also think a smart meter only group would fail to offer the depth of information this group has about ES-- the causes, symptoms, how to shield/protect, nutritional support, electrical information, and so on. I offer these thoughts for your consideration. I have NO objection to discussing Smart Meters as they relate to electrical sensitivity. It's all the other stuff relating to Smart Meters that I'd rather see discussed elsewhere -- updates on protests, latest actions by PG&E, signing online petitions, privacy concerns, tendency to cause electrical fires, etc. This is not a group where someone should be griping about Smart Meters *in general*, but rather should be seeking solutions for the symptoms they are experiencing from a Smart Meter on their house or in their neighborhood. So basically, I think we're in agreement. :-) Marc |

Smart Meters will be in every State unless the program is stopped. Part of Obama's 'smart' grid. It wasn't bad enough that he put Monsanto in charge of our food supply and poisons us with GMOs he had to poison us further with these meters.
I can't wait to vote that creep out of Office. Not that his opponent will necessarily be much better but I already know Obama is a corrupt POS. Many smart meters in Michigan have been meter tested at putting out the radiation pulses every so many seconds. The ones being used are Itron brand name. And in the rural areas/farm lands, they use what are called "collector meters" which are extremely strong pulses. They are best described as smart meters on steroids! Over power lines are better but many say they create electrical noise in the lines.
Don't believe that about the once per day. SDGE originally told me that, then they changed it to 3 times a day, now up to 25,000 pulses per day! Once per day would not give them the control they want over the grid Steve --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@...> wrote: > > > Smart Meters will be in every State unless the program is stopped. > > Part of Obama's 'smart' grid. > > It would appear that not all Smart Meters are going to cause > people problems.
