symptoms of EMF exposure. I have not felt well since I moved into my home. It is not a mold problem and have had everything checked but the old wiring. At the risk of sounding crazy:) (Im not by the way), I am an avid watcher of Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi and they mention frequently that high EMF readings in the home can have side effects. This is really the only reason I started to think perhaps its why I don't feel well. I have been to the doctor for it all...I feel fine when Im at work and out and about, it seems when I spend a lot of time at home, I feel depressed, anxious, have racing fluttery heart and achy...its really weird because Im a happy person. My home was built in 1925 and the wiring is the orginal and our furnace is really old. We just had it checked, it was fine. My doc says Im healthy...I get bad headaches, dizzy, feel uncoordinated, my muscles feel week sometimes and I have this weird numbness on my left side...memory issues and my sentences come out mumbly-like ,what did I just say? Just trying to find some answers.:) Its disheartening as I love my home, but it seems something here is making me feel sick. |
Hi Barbara,
Your story is all too common. The fact you can tell the difference between multiple places is your biggest clue. Have you got the house checked for magnetic fields? A simple gauss meter would reveal a lot. Just because the wiring is "ok" does not mean it is laid out in a good configuration that doesn't cause loops and multiple paths back to neutral/ground. Once you can see the difference between two or more places, with a meter. Then you'll have proof you are not crazy. It is probably easy to blame on ghosts, because EMF can't be seen either. But these days, we can measure and detect it. Also, have you tried just turning off the power at the circuit breaker. That is a good way to determine if the problem is inside, or outside (like the neighbors or distribution power lines nearby.) Even outside, it might be a wireless tower or the neighbors toys. A lack of those could certainly cause problems. Marc |

Hi, Barbara,
Yes, your symptoms are consistent with what I experience. You might alsowant to check your furnace further to completely rule out carbon monoxide leaking--after being affected people can even react to gas hot water tanks, dryers, ranges, and fireplaces, so rermember to check those too. There is a subset of MCS (chemically sensitives) who apparently had brain/body damage from a carbon monoxide leak who have also become ES. So I would not rule out this possibility. That can, btw, be treated. Search online for "MUSES MCS" and that should bring up some info about this and where to get treatment/dxed. Hope this is the answer and you can be treated. Good luck, Diane --- On Fri, 1/2/09, barbarajanousek <[hidden email]> wrote: From: barbarajanousek <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] electromagnetic question To: [hidden email] Date: Friday, January 2, 2009, 2:09 AM I would appreciate any information anyone can share with me about symptoms of EMF exposure. Hello,
be aware, that the symptoms of electrosensibility may also come from another source than electricity. People with a calcium deficit may have the same symptoms. Entities may cause also the same symptoms, and even when no elektrosmog is around! I have witnessed, that when those entities are led out by a medium, the symptoms disappeared instantly. It may sound weard, but one has to consider this. It is all a matter of a damaged immune system. Raising and healing the immune system, lowers the sensibility for elektrosmog. Same thing happened to me! We bought this house & I tried to figure out whyI felt so bad in it. through process of elemination I discovered it was electric because in my back yard I felt awful too. So I had a home bioligist come and test the house & he found that I had very high RF & had many cell anntennas in the area.
I react to wiring in the walls. The H.B. measured my body voltage. I told him that I feel ok in commercial buildings like restaurants & moview theaters, stores. He said it was because they use conduit. The wiring is covered. Sooo, if you find you are good at work it probably the wiring in the walls. My skins burns & I don't have any energy at all. So I am stuck with a house I can't live in the house is not worth what we paid for it. It is not weird at all. I became aware of entities years ago. I was also aware that most everyone have them. They come and go from person to person and if you are sensitive, like I am, you can have allergic reactions tothem like any other chemical, food, etc. I have not told only but less than a handful of people about them. I had a device that could detect them and actually "zap" them out. Oneday at a training workshop for this device, I heard the familar sound of someone else's device making that oh so familiar sound when one comes in andattaches. That person soon zapped them out. Then another person's device started to make that same sound(the sound is specific to when an entity comes in and attaches to the person who is hooked up to the device). This happened about 5 times, then my device started up with the same sound.. I zappedit out. Eventually, it stopped going from person to person. I know it sounds weird, and maybe even more weird that someone was able to invent a device that can detect some of these things. I was told once that if you have holes in your aura you may be more open. Iam not sure about that. Thanks for this information. I also have major wiring from our Power Company running through our backyard and all the other homes around us are connected through our yard. I have had some of it moved, but some cannot be. 42 inch plasma TV:)?? sounds like I will need to spend a fortune to feel better..:) I will try the radio thing tomorrow. Several things I didn't mention in my last email, I do get some rigning in my ears, but it subsides after about 2 min. or so, but I hear a low, constant hum and have for several years. In the summer its louder, (only in and around my neighborhood, not at work or elsewhere) so Im thinking its outside. I'm not sure what is around that could cause that. I have had so many people listen for it and they cannothear it, I mostly tune it out and forget about it...but its there if I listen for it.

Thanks, Stewart--What is a gauss meter? Where would I find one? In this house, it could be a multitude of things, wiring and ghosts! When you say turnoff the power to the house, does that immediately alleviate symtoms so that you know its not inside? I've turned power off to install fans, but have not noticed. To be honest, I don't feel badly all of the time. I've noticedit more over winter break

We have an extremely old furnace, but I just had it checked and cleaned andthere are no cm leaks, he said there was cm readings, but they were safe, all in the gas lines, not in the home.--but we do need a new one. We have abrand new washer/dryer and gas water heater.

Hi Barbara
I get the low constant hum - it is maddening - as you say sometimes you cantune it out and other times you can't - I hear it in my home and sometimesin my parents' home where I am staying at the moment. I wonder whether my problem is the same as yours because I have problems inmy back garden as well as my house and have often thought that it was to do with the big underground power cable which is buried in the road beside my house and I know runs very close to it - in places it is about 3m away from my gable wall. Can you check this out with a simple AM radio tuned to end of scale at 1600khz where you are likely to receive white noise, be wary that they are not all as good as each other some are badly shielded and off band these are the best but you have to experiment - cheap ones usually have weak RF immunity. Check out all your mains cables and Telephone wires, sockets, any metal in the house and also externally with the radio if you notice any consistent hums, saw tooth or fax tone type noises that pervade most of the wiring then you may have found your problem, it might be your house equipment or a neighbouring skybox, Large Plasma TV, digital set-top box, and so on... thenext trick is to find the offending apparatus generating the signal.... The sypmtoms you describe sound remarkably like mine due to chronic exposure to what I describe above in my case it is a 42inch plasma TV some 50m away pushing a very virilent RF signal into my house and sorroundings practically all day long. Putting up with this or fighting it by endurance is not an option, I find that if I have to endure it, yes my body after say 1.5hrs adapts and into dumb mode but that is a bad phase to have entered ! Hi Barbara, It measures magnetic fields, primarily at 50 or 60 Hz as found in alternating current, although waving it over a battery or other magnetized object, will also give good spike on the speaker. I still prefer "Dr. Gauss" because it has a sensitive mode for measuring Below 1.0 mG (milliGauss) http://www.lessemf.com/gauss.html catalog# A130 > When you say turn off the power to the house, does that immediately alleviate symtoms so that you know its not inside? Depends on how sensitive you are. If you are "charged up", it might take a while for your body to discharge, so that you might be able to notice, and feel better. When my journey began, it took 4 days for me to "discharge" or "wind down" and really notice. Although, on the other hand, when driving under a power line, was almost immediate. So it depends. > I've turned power off to install fans, but have not noticed. To be honest, I don't feel badly all of the time. I also notice ringing in my ears and a low hum all the time (I have to think about the hum to hear it, but its there) > Still sounds like something Around your house. If turning off the power for several hours, like overnight, does not reveal a significant difference, and if you are not parked near an electric heater or furnace creating a magnetic field, then I would start looking around outside for distribution power lines, or wireless towers and proximity to neighbors. That would need a different meter, (like the Zap Checker), one that measures EMF on the wider range of frequencies used by wireless devices. Stewart |

Hi, Barbara,
Try calling your power company and asking them to come check out the sourceof your problems. (Some will cooperate and some companies will not. But it doesn't hurt to ask!) Hi, Barbara,
The info I read on people who were poisoned by carbon monoxide indicated that these people go on to react to very minute amounts of carbons. So if the furnace guy found any amount at all that could be enough to cause you problems (re he found "cm readings").
