Has anyone tried the wirless cell phone shield from lessemf.com? It is
a leather wrap for cell phones that is supposed to block the radiation while still allowing the phone to work. Is there any particular phone that does not both ES people as much as others? Any other shields that anyone has used? My sypmtoms with new cell phone Samsung T-629 is red face and my head feels like it will explode. I'm ok with an LCD computer monitor though. Thanks in advance! |

I assume that this is less harmful that the ones with color screens, but it certainly does cause symptoms: http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/1112 Using the speakerphone keeps it away from my head, otherwise I put a Springlife Polarizer against it while using it, which also helps some. Of course, the best thing to do is to use it as little as possible -- last month I had only used it for 8 minutes... Marc |

HELP ! Its time to change my Vehicle, I driving to Switzerland soon - So I
have been around the dealers looking, I really like the Honda HRV(petrol), but this does have according to the Trifeild several hotspot EMFs, really where you would expect them around 2-4 mg at scource not so bad around head area. Of course it does not mean that its going to make you feel really bad it depends on the levels of EMFS and what you can withstand as the norm in a car - he says trying to kid himself ! I realise the issue is very complex/many permutations/anomolies(not to forget Microwave devices checked for with Electrosmog detector)) Its a big problem as you can either walk away from this or try to arrange to have the car on a long test drive say 1 day, as that is the only way to decide, you cant do it in a ten minute test drive ! but not many dealers will do this ! Glad to say that the local Honda dealer is able to facilitate this though. HOWEVER - I tested others favourable cars - (non seemed to set of the Elecsmog detector) Oh a word of warning - Make sure that when you test that there is not a high EMF from outside giving a false reading, in my case a lamp post near by gave off 4mg 1.8m away, into the car ! FIAT PUNTO 1.2ELX SPORT (petrol) - 2mg average but at head area may 0.5-1 despite having full spec. Dhaitsui sport (petrol)(like Toyota Rav 4) 5mg ! everywhere in driver area !!! Renault meganne Scenic (petrol)(brand new) 1-2mg average quite surprising as my wifes 2001model is a killer for emf at head level !!??(the reason why I got the Trifeild meter in the 1st place) Mercedes A1 small deisel 4mg in driver area !!! Vauxhall Zafira Diesal mpv 3-4mg driver area !! Nissan Nivara diesal truck 2006 - Unbelivably low say 1mg !!!! So as you can see the issue about deisals having low emfs is not always true. The problem I am facing here is that where a high EMF exists at scource say dash board evan if its not say at head area in that it diminishes down with distance the problem seems to be time related/cumulative (dose responce related) so really I should walk away from any car that has emfs more than say an average 2mg in the foot well/fuse board area. I am so frustrated by this ! I want a new car ! and I want it now ! With ES you tend to get bogged down/stuck Its a similar thing with my Home I want a new one of those as well, but I am reasonably ok here, fear keeps you murraybound after so many bad experiences. I suppose we have to just bite the bullet and take the best calculated risk we can to keep on moving in this modern world. Can I shield EMFS in cars say with Mu-metal has anyone any good advice here. HELP before I go mad ! PS there must be a lot of talking in the car dealerships about this strange man who came a calling with his spaceage gadgets. My ears are burning and now I now why ! Last year, I noticed that I had no reaction to my wife's new Acura RSX, so I bought one for myself as well. This has no LCD screen, no fancy displays, in fact the interior looks like something that could have been made 20 years ago. Meanwhile, the Honda Civics looked unnecessarily high-tech on the inside. I rated a few models and posted the results here: http://www.ahappyhabitat.com/cars.html I settled for a Chevy Silverado. My dad got a SRX Caddy. Both have a relatively low field at the driver's seat. Eli |

Partially shield the phone and get little reduction in fields. Fully shield and the cell phone cuts out. My guess is the product at lessemf is a gimmick. Use a headset. As for wireless house phones, I was successfull in fully shielding one and it still worked. Sheild and use a headset. Eli |

Why don't you try one of the devices that claim to neutralize the
harmful aspects of energy emitted by the cell phone, like the Cell Phone Rejuvenizer? If it doesn't work, you have NOTHING TO LOSE because the product has a 60 day money-back guarantee. If it does work, then you have found a cheap solution that you can tell others about. http://www.lighthealing.com/purchase-rejuvenizer.aspx http://www.lighthealing.com/guarantee.aspx Good luck, Gilligan |

Definitely worth a try, although I can say from personal experience that the cell phone rejuvenizer causes me agitation all by itself, so it's better to deal with a minute or two of the cellphone than hours of the device (which would be next to my body even when the phone is not being used). Although again, the EMF devices which I usually carry around with me (Quantum,Springlife) work well with the cellphone if I hold them next to the cellphone while I'm using them. It's not a 100% solution, but definitely an improvement. Marc |

The Wireless Phone Shield from LessEMF.com comes with a CD that shows the inventor testing the device with a radiation meter. Very obvious shielding effect for microwaves. In fact, LessEMF.com selects the products they carry on the criteria that they have a shielding effect which can be measured objectively (that is, with a meter). That way, they rule out most bio-energetic products, and all gimmicks. > > It's not easy to shield a cell phone. I did some experiments > using mu metal. It seems to be an all of nothing situation. > Partially shield the phone and get little reduction in fields. > Fully shield and the cell phone cuts out. My guess is the > product at lessemf is a gimmick. Use a headset. Remember that cell phones emit both magnetic field (can be shielded by mu-metal) and microwaves (which need different shielding material). So if you are using a gaussmeter to measure shielding effectiveness, you are measuring magnetic field only. However, most of the hoopla about cellphone dangers centers around the microwave emissions. Of course, for the electrically sensitive, it would be wise to avoid both. If you must use a cellphone, the only way I know about to reduce exposure to both types of field is to use an air tube headset, with extensions, if necessary. That way, your exposure is reduce (dramatically) by increasing your distance from the phone. Emil |

If you are very ES for want of better word you will not likely be able to
put up with mobile use for long else your health will plummet in no time ! you have to find a way around the problem you have lillte choice, in my case I earn less to keep my health in check its your health or your wealth !! Paul [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

It's not necessarily true that you have to sacrifice your job in order to be healthy. I was out of work for about a year until I discovered EMF protection devices that allowed me to return to work. If I had known about these devices in the first place, I never would have been out of work to start with! Marc |

If I had > known about these devices in the first place, I never would have > been out of work to start with! I'm very interested in the Quantum Products EMF protection devices that Marc uses. I have been averse to using battery-powered devices, but really I have no good reason for that. Many of the EMF protection devices I use are not really suitable for people with severe ES because they create their own subtle energy field: The Personal Rejuvenizer pendant, bocArus e.f.e's, and MegaChi Pendant. The energy field these devices create may be too strong for many people with ES to handle; the nervous sytem is just too weak. The exception to this, of the devices I have tried, is the EarthCalm Basic Resonator pendant: I used this when my ES was at its worst, and did not experience any "subtle energy overload". It did not provide complete protection from EMFs (I really doubt any product can), but it strongly stimulated my life force, which had become stagnant, and because of this it was important to my recovery from ES. The explanation of how Quantum Products work, as taken from the Quantum Products website: "Quantum Products with SuperForce Technology (SFT ) are unique in their approach to improving the quality of the environment. They do not add frequencies to the environment. Instead they simply neutralize an unwanted quantum mechanical noise that already exists in man-made electrical frequencies." The Quantum Products interest me because the claim is that they do not add any frequencies to the environment; they merely neutralize the noise. If this is so, then they should not create any "subtle energy overload" like the first three products I mention above may do. I've searched through the eSens postings (using the search string "Quantum Products") to find out if there are many people who have had success with Quantum Products other than Marc, but I didn't find any references by other people who said they have had success with these devices. I'd really like to know how many of the eSens newsgroup members have had good success with Quantum Products. The reason I'm interested is because I'm considering adding them to my recommended EMF protection devices list on my website, www.electrical-sensitivity.com. If there are any other products that members have had success with, such as Stetzer filters (those look very promising: they are simple filters, there is nothing woo-woo about them), I'd like to hear about your success with them also. I can't test these other devices myself for two reasons: (1) I no longer have ES; and (2) cost-prohibitive. Thank you, Gilligan |

Gilligan, I cannot recall -- were you able to use the Earthcalm pendant 24/7 right from the start, or did it require some days/months to build up a tolerance to it? I tried using this pendant for months, but was never able to tolerate wearing it more than a few hours. Since I needed something that would help me 8+ hours a day, I gave up on it. It did help me in short bursts, however... > I've searched through the eSens postings (using the search > string "Quantum Products") to find out if there are many people who > have had success with Quantum Products other than Marc, but I didn't > find any references by other people who said they have had success > with these devices. I think there were a few people... Glenn, Beau, Cara... but you're right, I haven't seen a lot of success with this (or any, for that matter) specific product. The Stetzer filters have also had a few success stories here. Marc |
