The benefit of being Earthed

Phyllicia Hutchinson

I believe I picked up this website from someone on the Esens group.

http://www.sleepingearthed.com/index.html

I was so impressed that I bought the mattress pad. Almost as
soon as we put the thing on our bed and grounded it, something
happened to me that was totally unexpected. My hip bone
in my right hip started moving, and although it was temporarily a
bit uncomfortable for a short time, my hip bone popped into place.
I was not aware that my hip bone was out of place, but knew that
it usually ached in the morning while I was still in bed and that
I had almost no flexibility in that joint. As soon as my hip bone
moved into place I had complete flexibility in that joint.

No where in their literature to they talk about such a thing
happening, nor are any claims made for such a thing, but nevertheless
it happened.

But the real reason that I am writing is that I do think the pad
has a lot to do with possibly helping overcome electrical sensitivity.
It is a way of gathering free electrons into the body and overcoming
free radicals in the body. It greatly reduces or eliminates
inflammation in the body. This alone can greatly improve the immune
system. We all seem to agree that a strong immune system makes a
person less susceptible to electric sensitivities.

Anyway, my husband and I are truly impressed with the results we are
getting after only two nights using the pad.

Thanks to whoever recommended this site.

Best regards, Phyllicia

I say experiment with the distance from your body. I have found that
the velostat will attract electrical fields toward it and you don't
want to be involved with that. Try it under your sheets, then under the
mattress, then under the bed and see if you can feel a difference.

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

Hello,

it is wrong for electrosensibles to place some earthing sheets in or under
the bed.
Unwanted potential differences may occur, and the result is, that one feels
much lousier than before.
Also, electrical fields may be attracted by such sheets.

There are many companies that try to sell *stuff against elektrosmog*, but
most do not have the faintest idea what it means being electrosensible.
And, they do not know what they are talking about.

Hi Charles,

Sorry, I must disagree with you. If the electricity is grounded by
the grounding wire attached to the mat, how then can it affect one's
electro sensitivity in a negative way? Diverting electrical energies
from being harmful is precisely why we have ground wires in our
electrical outlets in the USA. Perhaps European electrical outlets
are not grounded as ours are. Even lightning can't touch us if it
is well grounded by following a lightning rod or a ground wire.

I am not acquainted with velostat, so I can't answer that question for
you Denom. I didn't think I could afford the $339 either, but I now
feel that it was some of the best money spent in a long time. I am
experiencing amazing changes in a very short time.

Example: I wake up feeling eager to face a new day. My energy levels
are soaring. I feel very calm and peaceful. I am experiencing some
aches in places where I have held sickness or have had injuries in the
past. It is hard to explain, but these feel like healing pains, if
there are such things. They really aren't unpleasant.

I know that I have had a lot of inflammation in my body. This is one
of the main things that being Earthed fixes. It gathers the free
electrons from the earth, and the body drinks in these electrons and
they attach to the free radical cells that are needing an electron.
If I don't have this worded exactly right, please read the information
on the website for yourself. All I know for sure is that I have had
a problem with edema in my legs for years, and after a week of
sleeping with my feet on the Earth Mat all of the edema has
disappeared from my legs. I have ankles again. Yeah!!

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

In reply to this post by denom
HI denom,

You might be able to pick up some pointers in making your own conductive sleep
mattress pad or your mattress itself from this article. Let us know if yousucceed.

ttp://www.sleepingearthed.com/Minkoff_Article.pdf

Obviously, one must be able to be touching the conductive grounded materialwith one's own bare feet or perhaps bare body. To put it under the sheetsor
under the bed doesn't really make any sense as far as I understand the principle
of how it works.

I think the reason they suggest one's bare feet on the grounded conductive material in order to receive these electrons and Earth energies through thefeet is because there are acupuncture points in the feet that connect meridians to every part of the body. This is true of the ears also.

Perhaps you can ground some earmuffs to wear when you are reading or just
sitting around doing whatever. If you manage that, please let me know. Iwould
be interested in purchasing those or knowing how to make them myself. With
your ingenuity you can come up with any number of possibilities.

Best Regards,

Phyllicia

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

Hi guys & gals,

I made my own grounding sheet ages ago. I have it under the sheet and is
does take away imflammation, however, longterm, it returns if you are still
exposed to the source. (Powerlines in my case)
I use Vinny's space coherent device inconjunction and this works perfectly
for me.
I recently made one for my dog's bed as well as she was collapsing on her
rear legs with the muscle wasting away. She has not collapsed again since,
in fact, she jumps out of bed in the morning for her walk whereas prior, she
hardly raised her head. (fatigue no doubt).
They are easy to make, alligator clips or safety pins will work with copper
wire running to your copper stake, grounded into the earth.

Cheers, Helen

Hi William,
I got the material from somebody else, but I believe it is grounding
material from the US, possibly from LessEMF. It is a very light weight,
almost see through material and feels like a synthetic, but it has carbon
thread through it.

Cheers Helen

This is a general reply about this thread and not to anyone
specifically. If I am downstairs with my foot/feet on the ground
(carpet) in the house am I grounded and would this have a similar
effect to the velostat devices? I do seem to always feel better
downstairs rather than upstairs. Or do you have to be outside to get
the benefits of these electrons?

Also, when you are outside can you be standing on any surface eg
earth, sand, a concrete path and be grounded?

And if I am touching a grounded electrical device do I also become
grounded?

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

Emil at Less EMF Inc
In reply to this post by Phyllicia Hutchinson
In practice, electrical grounding is connecting electrically with a reservoir of available electrons.

This implies a conductive connection, and a relatively large mass for the reservoir.
Dipping into a salt bath meets these criteria, and connecting (by wire) to a metal pipe buried in the Earth also
qualifies.
Naturally, there are many other ways as well.
Large metal objects, like a car or truck, even if they are not grounded themselves, can provide enough reservoir of
electrons... but the vehicle itself could be electrically charged.

Standing barefoot on carpet may be as close to the opposite as you can get.
Standing barefoot on some dry surfaces outdoors may not provide good ground either (if the surface is not
conductive, the electrons will not flow).

If you touch a conducitve, grounded object, you will also be grounded.

Does the salt for the salt bath have to be a certain type, or just
any salt? Has anyone had some good results with this?

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

Phyllicia Hutchinson
Hi Emil,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that you are the person that I boughtthe grounding cord from that has a ground prong plug on one end and an alligator clip
on the other. If you are the one, then I want to thank you because I likedyour
design well enough to copy it.

I have given your ground cord to my daughter. She has been having Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so bad that she was ready to have surgery. I talked her out
of the surgery for now because we are doing an experiment. I gave her the ribbed
top of one of my husband's old Polyester/cotton sports socks to wear on her
wrist at night with your ground cord clipped to it. She has only been wearing it
for two nights, so it is too early to tell if it will help or not. If it doesn't help then, maybe I am full of hooey, but I don't think so. I just called my daughter and she
said that she thinks that her wrist is getting better.
Best Regards,
Phyllicia

Hi Phyllicia,

Please note that the only effective grounding that will occur with your design is if the alligator clip itself
makes contact with the skin. The cotton or polyester is not conductive enough to make a good electrical
connection... unless is gets significantly wet with salty perspiration.

Yes, you can use Magnetic Shielding Foil, FINEMET or GIRON. See http://www.lessemf.com/mag-shld.html
Note that magnetic shielding requires some patience and care. The size and shape of the shield, as well as its
position make a big difference in the shielding performance. The proper shield design can be counter intuitive, so
it is important to use a gaussmeter to test the performance of your shield placement.

These materials have helped many people sucessfully shield their cars, including hybrid verhicles.

Re: The benefit of being Earthed

Hi Emil,

Not true. I have grounded our whole bed using the grounding wire and stake from
the http://www.sleepingearthed.com people, using an alligator clip on one end
and we never touch the clip. The bed is grounded just by being clipped onto our regular mattress pad. We are getting great results.

I clip the ground wire that I bought from you ( actually a copy of yours) onto my bedclothes at night. That alligator clip doesn't touch my skin most of the time, but I stay grounded all night. I just attached it to my dog's bed, and her bed and her are grounded without touching the alligator clip.

Perhaps you should read what I wrote about quantum physics, and how when dealing with energy all the rules change. This has been confirmed by top
Scientist in many different fields. When dealing with quantum physics, energy,
quarks and the like, can be manipulated according to belief, thought and intention, and perhaps emotion. So basically whatever one believes he can do,
he can do. What ever one thinks he can't do, he will be right about that also.

I believe and I know, and now am experiencing wonderful grounding, which results
in no more edema, no more stiffness or aches and pains in the morning, great
positive energy in the daytime, and it gets better and better all of the time. My
husband is experiences all this as well as going to sleep quickly, and sleeping
all night without hardly moving.

Best Regards,
Phyllicia

Please note that the only effective grounding that will occur with your design is if the alligator clip itself
makes contact with the skin. The cotton or polyester is not conductive enough to make a good electrical
connection... unless is gets significantly wet with salty perspiration.

Hi Marc,

I think you just proved my point. My number one son said to me once that he tried positive thinking and it didn't work. I asked him how long he tried it, and he
said, "about six days." Hmmmm! LOL
Best regards,
Phyllicia
