Looking for EHS sensitive ladies in Austin, TX?

Any groups or anything in Austin for EHS people?

Its hard to make friends or keep the friends you have when you have such limitations, but there have to be other people right?

My friends were normally the people I worked with or went to church with or when to school with.

Can't work, go to school or church anymore soooo its not easy!

I am realizing that my friendships that I thought would make it through anything, are as impermanent as anything else. Some of my lifelong friends have tried to understand, but most are so technology dependent (as I was), that they have been slowly drifting away. I too would like to find people around west Wisconsin who have ehs.

One example, we had a horrible lightening storm yesterday morning. I get a little emotional when I am "lit up" for longer than 5 hours or so. My decision making skills and overall cognition drops. Some have unfairly assumed drug use, mainly meth. I had a mild heart attack April 20th, and the equipment like the ekg was like shock therapy. I was drug tested multiple times (all clean), I also was an electrical engineering major in college. Stepping on the hard floor with bare feet saved my life. This was my clue to ehs. I was ungrounded. The doctor thought I was nuts, even though I had remembered something about this when looking up rare electrical phenomenon one time.

The reason I put all that in there is NONE OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY looked up the information I asked them too. I am one of the more severely affected people, and even now it is difficult to finish this message. I have been journaling about all of my experience with this. I have had to give up everything including my 10 year old son as I don't know if I will be fully functioning moment to moment.

So yes, I understand why you are looking for others who can truly empathize with this heinous condition.

Hi, I am not in Austin but in Australia but would like to be able to discuss this problem with people that understand.  I,  like all of your group  am looking for help to cope with this problem.  At present I am confined most of the time to a caravan with an aluminium fly wire mesh that is grounded  around the annex area .  Do you know of anything I can shield myself with or the garden area.  In another post I saw someone asking about shielding fabric.  I made myself a tabard and scarf from it.  It maybe gives me a little extra time before I am affected.  That's it for the moment , cheers Lee  

Funny I was looking to get in touch w/ some folks in TX. I am in AZ and have a trailer that I live off-grid in. I need to move farther out from all the electropollution.  I have lived all over the country and have never seen such a drama stress level as AZ both now and when I was here 15 years ago. I have been told that TX would be a better place for this type of lifestyle, so wanted to touch base w/ someone. I am eventually going to want to get out on my own land with it and I also hear TX is good for that. So would love you to contact me.

I have some with ES very near me, but they do not associate with the common classes and I don't own a jet and boats and worse yet live in a 5th wheel, so no go.  I would be better off further away from the west coast.

Funny that you live in AZ because I used to live there before I moved here. Used to live in Tucson. I NEVER enjoyed living there and often didn't feel too good.

I live in Sierra Vista. Lots of EMF from the base. I find I do not have the number of TIAs [mini strokes] and my jumbled speech has improved from where I was in NM. Think I was much closer to neighbors' wifi there, but I have other symptoms here from the base and balloon: itching burning skin, hives and other things.  A lot more problems caused by just the stress, as every single thing in AZ is a lot of DRAMA.  Not so in NYC or other areas. Every 5 min little thing! Not so anywhere else I ever lived.  Stress can be just as bad if not worse than RFs.   Also there is a huge importance on class and being rich here, just like in Calif.


Funny you say you feel better in TX.  Is it the EMF situation or just the fact it's less stress and drama?

I would think TX especially Austin would be very high in RFs.  I could imagine some of the open rural areas could be awesome though. I do not know much about TX, but would like to pick some brains of those there to see if it might not be a good future option and then if so which location in TX. I am not ruling out AZ altogether, but it's not working and my case worker thinks that leaving could be a positive thing for me, just due to the way things are run here and she wants me to do research very well on places I am thinking of. To me TX may be a very good place to start. It's closer to me and not as humid as the rest the south. I live on solar, so that is a biggie. Hard to cool on solar and even harder the further east you go.

Would love to talk to you more about TX and all about living there w/ ES and living there in general.

I honestly cannot say why, but it might have had to do with the heat in AZ. I hated it there too. Definitely not from stress, way more stress when I moved here.

Yeah Austin isn't very good, but there's some better areas not too far away where there is a lot of open land and away from cell towers. The area I live in is not very good but it's not anything like downtown Austin. I don't even go downtown anymore due to the plethora of cell towers everywhere.

I wish I lived in Austin!  This thing can get so isolating.  I can barely even respond to people's posts, even though I'd like to, b/c I just get so hammered.  Hope you find some people...

Maybe in 5 years?!   Btw, I've found something that is helping a lot.  It's a weighted wrap that I got from sensacalm.com.  Deep pressure (weight) calms your senses and increases serotonin.  As soon as I put it on me, I feel good. I've been sleeping with it over me at night and my sleep has never been better.  I know you like alternative therapies so I thought this might interest you :)

I don't mind the heat, though in a trailer to the extent it is, is rough, especially off grid. I got this tiny little, portable box cooler the other day and no sweat when it's on-comfort. Before I tried it I thought it was a joke. We are going to have a big heatwave that is unprecedented.

I am finding though the drama and the utter insanity and chase to meet simple needs intolerable-never had issues like this anywhere else and I have live many places. I did have issues like this in Mesa, AZ 15 years ago and add to that all the cordless phones that were around me. I did not stay there long. All the drama is STRESS and can make what is otherwise good miserable.  I tested when I moved in to this space and the RFs were about the same as the last bad place, but better than most. Overall I do not think it's the same, as I have less TIA [mini strokes] and my speech has improved somewhat, though I have more headaches that are worse and more sking problems-real issues that i did not have before and hives. Would rather burn and itch than have mini strokes.

There is a real PRESSURE here from all sides. They come at you with everything from all directions to screw up your life and it takes more than putting up good boundaries, but more like putting up a fortress and being as isolated as possible. It was that was in Mesa too, but way back then I was very good at letting NO one in or near me, but it was still an issue. Now I have more needs due to health. There is also a severe lack of services that one would not expect. There is though some who are the best people you would ever meet anywhere and a real sense of community that NM was void of.

My case worker keeps telling me it's the area I am in or the state of AZ and others tell me the same. It may really be time to put feelers out. I was already thinking TX for sometime. Not so much in a major city, but like you say those places with land further out. I would like to learn more about those and figure out more if TX would meet my needs. I would be all the happier staying in AZ, if I could summon up enough energy to keep up the necessary wall of aloof isolation and at the same time get my needs met. I would have to find out a lot about any place I move, with having the health/disability issues and certain needs, as well as ES. There are the issues of being able to park somewhere EMF safe and finding enough places to make accommodations. Can I get a good supply of organic food, that is not in a wifi den. That is a big issue and why I chose AZ. Shipping it is cheaper in AZ and surrounding states. They have people here that can do local shopping, which is awesome and they are great people and fairly free of drama. Do not know how long this will be available as the good volunteers are leaving the area or getting too sick.

So I would love to pick your brain more and more about TX, not limited to Austin-not sure any city would really work , but then it's good to have nearby access. I have heard Austin is also expensive.

I think it would be very hard to not get fried and without being isolated. The mindset of the world is to live breathe and exist as electropollution and so being a part of that is not going to work for me. No one here either, as I am not rich enough to associate with the few who are. I have kind of been written off here as crazy, but then some understand and just treat me like I have an allergy.

Could you please let us know where you got that little box cooler and what brand it is?
It will be hot here this summer and I don't think I can use a portable A/C unit in my place.

It takes a lot to break away from the "smart grid", so I made a channel about my life doing it w/ ES. Cooling is a huge issue, as is phone, internet, heating and being disabled and getting help and dealing w/ the community.

Dealing with the community and those that do not understand is by far the biggest issue. They want to force harmful things down our throat and we are crazy if we do not accept it.

I don't have a 12 volt DC outlet so I don't think I can use it. Oh well
