Good though for most w/ ES as I would assume that half do not have 120 due to the forced smart meters, unless lucky to have a place where opt outs are allowed. The only issue would be the variable speed motor, but not as bad as living w/ the smart metered 120 or near the grid at all. It is not a large motor, but can still use a lot if only relying on solar like me and live in an area where it is compulsively cloudy like I do. I am a couple hours from the NM border so no wonder or if you are in W. Oregon, Washington or New England the same issues. Of course lack of sun keeps the temps almost bearable. Would not have used today if there had been any solar gain. Of course you could get 200 watts and start a low emf system and just power the cooler. That way you can have something on hand if you lose your opt out and slap on a smart meter.

"I live on solar, so that is a biggie. Hard to cool on solar and even harder the further east you go."
so funny story that goes back about 7 or 8 years before any form of symptoms, (virtigo around hot areas, skin rashes, impared speech, slowed senses and speech reaction etc.) from RFS (radio frequency sensetivity). So i am an Electrician and for a period of time we were installing sollar panels on large businesess. (like large flat roofs of comercial buildings of big box stores and such). I remember on one day when we got a good portion of the panels laid and connected on most of the roof; i got some sort of a skin reaction from an unknown source, which everyone thought was a sun heat stroke of some kind.... at that time my supervisor gave me the rest of the day off and told me to drink plenty of water... The reaction was red spots all over my body, including red lips and other signs that something is not right. And apart from the panels i spent plenty of days in the open sun with no problems. At that time i did not know that such a condition exists in the world, but as my technology addiction grew over a period of the years followed, i one day woke up and had to learn how to walk again, it feels like... i have read other people have been sick from utilizing solar power as well... If u are able to test this condition and get away from sollar for a bit, maybe this could save some trouble for you... sorry for some custom spelling ![]() [hidden email] |
Uphill, are you saying that living in a solar-powered house makes your sensitivity worse if it were grid powered? If so, what is it about the solar system that you attribute the problem to? From: UphillBattle [via ES] <ml+[hidden email]>

Did you ever consider the toxins in those panels caused your reaction? http://sciencing.com/toxic-chemicals-solar-panels-18393.html I would guess when you open a brand new panel and expose it to the sun, some of those toxins would be coming out of the panels for a while. Even a new TV or laptop does this. |

I hear a lot become sensitive after being installers. I have to say that the standard solar system on most off grid homes, makes a smart meter look like nothing. I used eiwellspring as a guide to do a "low emf" system. 12v DC with panels far from house. No controller. There is an inverter in the system, but it's always off and disconnected. I have a wired switch that can connect it and another wired switch that can then turn it on. I do that to shred a few pages or run the blender or food processor. All tasks that are less than minutes/ If it's going to be longer say peanutbutter, I leave it in the processer and finish the next day or even over a few days/ I left the inverter on for a few hours and got so sick. I can not even begin to describe how sick I got. I discovered and turned off, but lost consciousness for a day soon after that. Took a week to recover/
Most w/ solar have these bad things running in their system all the time. Grid tied has all this plus 2 smart meters going. Also you will be pegged as a horrible person worse than Hitler if you refuse to install them on your roof! On the roof is very bad and will make you sick. This is all why you see entire families that are "green" come down w/ cancer! Unless it's a very low emf system it will make you sick and it will be very very toxic. you can see more at eiwellspring. I did a lot of research and then experimented-had to sacrifice efficiency to have panels further out. So worth it. I figured that most on here would be off grid w/ the 12 DC no inverter no controlller model system. eiwellspring has had guides on how to do all this up for years in a downloadable pdf book chapters I would not last an hour in a place that had standard solar. |

"reply to Fog Top" no i was sharing my experience with "Jdark" due to something he had mentioned about a solar setup he was running on his camper.. i was just giving another testimony from personal experience |

Sailplane that is a Very Good Observation now that u mention this piece of information,, it makes me clearly remember the terrible (toxic/chemically) smell of the panels as soon as we opened the ply-wood crates that they came packaged in. "obviously not from China lol" ..... (there is a good chance we were exposed even before the sun hit them) all this did happen on the job in summer weather (short sleaves and shorts) open skin poors and full contact,,,, .. sailplane u good u.. again, sorry for custom spelling ![]() [hidden email] |

1.)Yeah thats wild,, it makes me stop and wonder what other horrible things did my profesion force my body to suffer in the long run 2.)oh wow "low emf", i will have to check out eiwellspring guide,,, 3.)"lost consciousness for a day" ![]() ![]() ![]() 4.)i can only imagine, after a solid mountain bike ride of sweatting it out,,symptoms feel so mutch better, since most saunas around my area are electrically heated 5.)poor guy 6.)well even mentioning that someone has es, makes oneself like a freakshow of somekind, or a addict of some sort (it seems like a journey down a road of es requires one to be very true to himself) in order not to be tumbled on the waves of other peoples denial of reality, or even basic human emotion of empathy for others 7.)yeah i got alot to learn yet 8.)I hear your pain/hang in there Custom spelling couracy please ![]() sorry superlaura it is not my intention to hijack your creation |
Another note eiwellspring has been the best guide ever to do all this. That siad one must do their homework. The "specialty concepts" controller pictured on that site is NOT "zero emf". It is a PWM-pulsing radiating models like all the rest. somehow it got marketed this way and people buy into it. No matter what I say people keep telling me that emits nothing-a scientifically impossible claim for that kind of tech.
Nothing in a solar system of any type can be "zero" but it can be low and acceptable to live with. So again doing homework is a must. Some have to put all the wires of the system in metal conduit. Or shield another way and keep panels far. Yes after all this, the reason I joined this thread is I would like to find a place to park that is not making me sicker. Not an easy task, if you are a half bedridden old lady living on a very fixed income and paying large payments incurred to make the present set up possible. I need to be far out but still need to be where I can have my mail, food and ice delivered. [the vented propane fridges die after awhile, so you will not have that luxury after some time]. It's a very very expensive lifestyle if you can not DIY. They really need to start setting up low emf partially assisted living that is very rural, and away but where those of us who have got health issues can have a chance. The whole issue is finding a safe place to go and there are less of them every year. The ones that do exist take being very healthy or rich to do. [ie: land steward or Green bank or Ca$cabel, AZ. and select areas of CA]. |
This is where TX may come in as a middle ground. I have heard a lot just recently about it not being so off-grid friendly as AZ.

Lol yeah, still haven't found any ladies in Austin. I don't know how to connect with other people here!

Speaking of living in Texas. If you live in the hill country away from the cities I get readings of zero on my meters.

@JDark - My jewel of a husband created an EMF haven for me in our aluminum camper. That is until he installed a solar panel with a PWM controller on the roof. I entered and felt the bad effects of its fast switching immediately. In the fine print on this particular PWM controller it states that disconnecting a wire will convert the controller to a slow pulse mode. He cut the wire and the high magnetic field vanished and now I'm fine inside, but when sleeping in it I turn the controller switch off. I don't know if this disconnect-a-wire option is possible with all PWM controllers.

I do not have a controller, so no worries there. Panels on the roof cause a lot of problems also! Mine are distant.

I am really now wondering about TX too now. Every time I just can not take another second of the AZ drama and swear I will find a way to relocate to the south, another MEGA storm hits. Another issue that worries me about TX is tornadoes are a deal breaker, but other better areas seem to get the mega hurricanes.
Impressive still though Laura to read what you just wrote about zero reading. I do not think the hill country is in the price range for many? Not ruling out TX. Know eventually I will have to make a change 1st for emf reason, 2nd for reasons of too much drama specific to AZ [that is not in other areas]. I do have some time to wait, as I so far must extend my stay here due to the bills run up on credit after being forced out of the last place into this triler sooner than could afford. Living in and RV is NOT cheap and that plus the monthly payments on the credit. I had a goal of my own open acres and low emf parking. But bills must be paid first. I have to have some access to certain needs. I am mostly homebound and have to keep that in mind. Also Laura. Hard to meet others, when WE all have to avoid wifi and cellphones-the centers of most people's lives. Pretty much spells for isolation I have found. Anything else is NOT self-preservaation that comes first for all of us and all other animals breathing as well. |
