Go to www.iherb.com
I get Healthy Origins Ubiquinol. The prices can't be beat. You can use my code, TEV814, and get $5 off your first order if you'd like.

Retinitis pigmentosa is classed as an ion channel disease, Kathy.  So it is also something which I would think people with tight junction permeability could have issues with.  [Emfs can cause tj permeability.]

Has anyone looked into this possibility:  Refsum or ARD?

Increasing night blindness due to degeneration of the

retina (retinitis pigmentosa).  If the disease progresses symptoms can be:

deafness, loss of the sense of smell

                              (anosmia), problems with balance and

coordination (ataxia), dry and scaly skin (ichthyosis), and heartbeat

abnormalities (cardiac

                              arrhythmias).

Those w this lack the enzyme to break down

foods that contain phytanic acid, including

 dairy products; beef and

lamb; and fatty fish such as tuna, cod, and haddock.

I'd like to look into it. Both my son & I  noticed burning after eating beef. I also noticed it

from a vitamin that contains cod & haddock. Treatment is diet changes. Some may need a plasma exchange.

Untreated, ARD can lead to sudden death caused by heartbeat abnormalities.

I had very frightening cardiac symptoms, medically tested/diagnosed.  All gone now.

My personal physician deduced the cause was dirty electricity.  #1 thing to do is reduce your exposure!

Then look at improving diet, getting metals/root canals out of mouth, etc.  Reducing all stress you can.

One-dose classical homeopathy can help greatly.

Thanks a lot Steve,

I can't take that one, caps are safer for me,
I open them, try a tiny little bit to make sure
I don't react, then add over  a period of time
before swallowing the whole dose, hence caps.
Will look for Jarrow instead in a health food shop
and keep the order from Amazon.

Yes, that is what I wrote; Jarrow use Kaneka Ubiqinol, but has much better absorption because it
is liposome based. Order from iherb and get through DHL, you have it in 2 days. But you can get it
so many places in the UK.

Re: Heart spasms and arrythmias

Hi Kooky and all,
Blood tests are notorious for being in accurate. Why? Because the medical system keeps "changing" the levels that supposedly show what's normal and what is NOT normal, or healthy.
What this often translates to, is that by the time mainstream medicine diagnoses someone's thyroid being out of whack, THEIR THRYOID HAS ALREADY HIT ROCK BOTTOM....this is something you DON"T want. The lower that thryoid goes, the harder it is to bring it back in line. Whereas if you catch it earlier, its much easier to deal with.
For those who really want to check their own thryoids, put a pen/pad of paper by your bed, take your temperature every morning BEFORE you get out of bed. If you are using a digital thermomneter, ignore the beeps and keep it in your mouth under tongue, for 4 min. Do this for a week...and then average out your temperatures. Add them all up, and divide by the number of days you took your temp. Any temp UNDER 97.6 means the thyroid is OUT of balance. If it is OVER 99, this means the thryoid is OVER active, they call this hyPER thyroidsim. Under active is HYPO thryoidism.
Do NOT Rely on blood test...This is called the Barnes Basal Temperature Test and you can find it on line, by googling it.
Oh I absolutely believe you that you are NOT having anxiety attacks. And because the thryoid does have a huge role in the heart, it could well BE the thryoid that is causing this...along with being exposed to high fields, you never asnswered that question. Is this happening under certain conditons?
Many people are unaware that both the thryoid and adrenals WORK together. So if the adrenals are out of whack, it is common for the thryoid to be out of balance, as well. And why this is important? Because those with adrenal isssues who try to take Armour, or ect....if the adrenals are out of balance, stressed, they don't make enough of the hormone to be able to USE the thyroid support. That means the body is not able to metabolize the thryoid help because the adrenals are so low, they are not making enough of the hormones that are responsible for USING the thryoid hormones. So what happens is , the thryoid hormones build up, you feel extremely crapppy, awful in some cases....until the high levels of thryoid that the body is simply not able to metabolize, finally work their way out of the body.
So many who try the thryoid and don't have a positive experience, actually need to support the adrenal glands. This is why I said first treat the adrenals, then add in the thyroid support.
Here are some common symptoms of an under active thryoid: brain fog, thin hair- lifeless no body, thin eyebrows, vision trouble, digestive issues, puffy under the eyes, bad periods, weight problems, bad memory, can't think of the "word" you want to use, walk out the door, forget your keys , can't find your car in the parking lot, can't remember what you did with whatever, trouble sleeping, wake up tired, weirded out dreams, thin nails that break all the time, often candida issues, dry skin...heart problems. (these are just a few)
Adrenal: bruised look under eyes, low energy, aches and pains, allergies, low physical body strenghth, very low patience, hypoglycemic, stand up too fast, get dizzy, feel better in bottom half of day, wake up want something sugary, exercise makes you more tired, if someone has a cold a mile away, you catch it...low immunity, irregular pulse and/or low pulse....if severe, weight decreases.....**These are just a few, notice how the symptoms  OVER LAP?
This is because the thryoid and adrenals are like best friends. When one goes down, the other jumps in to help. If no one hears them screaming for help....THEY BOTH GO DOWN.
My friend took: for thyroid: 1) Iodine drops - Nascent Iodine. 2) Selenium, Thryoid Helper from www.wellnessresources.com 3) Magnesium Chloride Oil from Ancient MInerals --google Mark Sircus, Magnesium, Leptin and Obesity.....excellent article! Also the company that sells Ancient Minerals Magnesium, if you read Sircus's article, he has a coupon code, they are offering the Magnesium at a good price this week. And a good Vitamin B-complex. For adrenals, 1) raw glandulars 2) Holy Basil Tea or capsules from Organic India (holy basil tea helps to regulate the adrenals), 3) Turmeric capsules also from Organic India..**She is actually Diabetic, has been for years and was able to get off of her meds, using diet to control, once she started taking supplements to support both her thryoid and adrenals. She also deals with candida, and eats no wheat, no sugar, but still uses her cell phone/and cordless phone....unfortunately. She eats high quality protein like almonds, which is important for low adrenals..protein when you first get up, and a small amt before you go to bed.
Let me clarify....many people mistakenly believe they are having anxiety attacks, when the real culprit IS the thryoid, which controls the heart- and in many cases, the adrenals are also low.
In the beginning, she was VERY sensitive to almost everything she tried. Because her thryoid and adrenals were so low. The IODINE we found for her, that putting the drops right on the belly button, 2-3 drops, let it dry....enabled her to be able to tolerate the Iodine drops. Her metabolism was very messed up for along time. The adrenals regulate the body's blood sugar levels, by the time the body goes into full diabetes, those poor adrenal glands have been pushed and pushed to their limit.

HI,

I hope you find the supplements to help you feel better.

Can you explain this type of therapy when you have time?

Hi Lizzie:

Thanks for the info. Since receiving Medical Qi Gong from an

excellent practitioner, there have been huge improvements

in my symptoms, but for the last week or so, the heart spasms

have been acute and severe!!

I am NOT having anxiety attacks, in fact, I am calm when this happens. Not panicky, and I usually feel so ill when it happens, I just sit it out...

Sometimes, I continue with my activities.

I am wondering if your friends described what I did, that is heart shaking, heart spasms, irregular pulse, dizzy, but not panick, not stressed.

The heart feels as if its vibrating as do muscles, literally?

It it is, then quite rightly, it could by hypthyroidism, diabetes, or any number of other medical problems.

My thyroid test came back "normal", my blood sugar level "normal"

I was hypothryoid, unable to take Armour or Thyroxine. Recent tests for the last six months show "normal"...

Why thyroid & adrenal support did she take?

I read a published paper recently which mentions diabetes

can be caused by EMF, in which case, I would postulate

why not hypothyroidism??? It can cause so much damage,

on all levels cascading in various symptoms for the individual.

Thanks,

Kookie

For magnesium, get topical/transdermal magnesium hydrochloride oil, it goes through your skin and is taken up by the cells immediately.
It is the most amqazing magnesium supplement I have ever tried, ubelievable. You can get it at Amazon UK under the BetterYou
brand and others, but only use a Zechstein origin product.

I have suffered from extreme adrenal fatigue, almost recuperated/rebuilt after 4 years. Get adrenals and thyroid tested. Read the James Wilson book on AF, I had personal help
from him as well. Please avoid Tulsi, it lowers cortisol.

Lizzie:

Thanks for all the info.

Totally agree with you about blood tests, not only do the health
officials keep changing what constitutes "normal" but these tests
are unreliable.  Its just that mine, did show normal for a while now,
the TSH was 2 or something like that.

As for vits and nutrients, there are difficulties with serum, urine,
and hair testing, as well as sweat or tissue samples.  They all differ!!
Other variables contribute to inaccuracies such as metabolizing,
digestive issues, accumulation often localized, etc..  not so easy
after all.

I started eating fresh kelp, and will also pursue this avenue...

Meanwhile, I will take the supps and the Q10 since I am
deficient.

Its very difficult to rely on symptoms alone, nutrional deficiencies
are very serious, and often, symptoms are alike.  Hum, many illnesses
have the same symptoms, its takes a little time to work it, whilst keeping in mind, that there are often multi systems connected, and thus a target
approach is not an option.  For instance, being low on magnesium or Q10 can result in hypoglycemic attacks, and diabetics have been found to be low on Magnesium..

I had no idea about pouring iodine on the belly button, simply
genial, lol.  Will give it a whirl.

More and more western open minded doctors reach
the consensus that no matter what the label given to
an illness/disease, it all stems from toxicity and malnutrition
or imbalance in nutrients...

How is your friend doing now??

She eats high quality protein like

If you cortisol is too low, supplement with Isocort while you rebuild adrenals with nutrition and supplements. Can save you a lot of suffering. You can get Isocort from iherb.com

She eats high quality protein like
>>  almonds, which is important for low adrenals..protein when you first get up, and a small amt before you go to bed.
