I've certainly encountered problems with mice that were fixed by changing computers. But you could also experiment with different types of mice, if your computer supports them: -- ball mouse vs. optical -- PS/2 mouse vs. USB In an extreme case, I suppose you could try a fiber optic USB extension cable, but that would be expensive (although it should eliminate any stray voltage coming from the computer) Marc |

Hi,
I was feeling what was similar to shocks last year. My nerve endings were raw from quitting benzodiazapine drugs like valium. Using the cardboard side of a spiral notebook for a mouse pad helped. I don't know if it would help you, but could try. At which point I have no more helpful advice... :-( As I said before, I have experienced this myself, but it was fixed by changing computers, not changing the mouse. However, I will note that the computer mice that I use are ancient -- they use the PS/2 interface (and I have a USB to PS/2 adapter for one computer), and they have a ball on the bottom (no LED/laser). Manufactured by Microsoft in the 1990s. Marc |

So which computer is best for you?
Anyone tried those grounded mouse mats? --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > > On November 16, jpnordica <jpnordica@...> wrote: > > yes and yes > > > > --- In [hidden email], Patricia Robinett <patricia@> wrote: > > > > > > is your mouse WIRED? > > > does it connect to a USB port? > > At which point I have no more helpful advice... :-( > > As I said before, I have experienced this myself, but it was > fixed by changing computers, not changing the mouse. > > However, I will note that the computer mice that I use > are ancient -- they use the PS/2 interface (and I have > a USB to PS/2 adapter for one computer), and > they have a ball on the bottom (no LED/laser). > Manufactured by Microsoft in the 1990s. > > Marc > |
