Dental Implants

steve
We had a discussion some years ago but I was wondering if anyone has an experience with dental implants, good or bad, titanium or zirconium.
The crown over my root canaled tooth is failing and I really don't want to spend money on another crown and had always wanted the root canal out of my mouth.
I had an epicoectomy on it and it is capped with mercury so on x rays I can see 2 balls of mercury right inside my gums.
A bridge is possible since there are 2 teeth surrounding it but I know the possible issues with that as well-filing down 2 good teeth for the bridge. The implants make me more nervous however

Steve,
Before I knew anything about electro sensitivity but was having ES symptoms with cell and cordless phones, I got a titanium implant.  I was in horrid pain for weeks afterwards while the dentist and implant specialist told me that they just didn't understand my pain because they had installed numerous implants and people loved them and felt good even on the day of the procedure.  The pain finally got better, but I remained in a state of high anxiety.
It wasn't until I later developed full-blown ES symptoms that I read an article by Dr. Lina Garcia on implants and metal dental work turning people into antennas from all the RF in our environment today that I knew this was my problem.  She recommends only Zirconium/Zirconia implants and crowns and is against root canals.  Even "porcelain" crowns are composed of metals.  I had the implant removed along with a root canal and felt like a weight was lifted off me immediately afterwards.  I then had porcelain crowns replaced with Zirconia and amalgam fillings replaced with composite.  Amalgam removal needs to be done by a biological or holistic dentist who has special filters installed and gas masks, etc. Zirconium is an extremely hard metal but it does not conduct electricity, so no antenna effect.  I found a regular dentist in my smallish town who loved the durability of Zirconium and his prices matched the cost of regular porcelain crowns.
A bridge and also permanent retainers utilize metal bands which will act as an antenna right next to your head.
Here's a link to Dr. Garcia's articles:

Re: Dental Implants

steve
Thank you for the reply. My dentist uses Zirconium implants and cerec crowns which are metal free. The crowns don't appear to be as long lasting as metal ones as I have one that is a few years old and already wearing out by the gum line for some reason.
He didn't sound too enthused about the zirconium implants even though he uses them, he actually mentioned a cerec bridge as an option but then 2 teeth have to be ground down.
Just no great options it seems but you've convinced me to stay away from titanium.

I had a terrible reaction from lithium disylicate (something like that) ....  as in emax or others.  These supposedly are all porcelain but they aren't.  Had to have bridge removed.  Lost $3000 and annoyed the dentist.

Thank you for this info.
Being careful to what dental care is being done upon your body
might prove critical vs emf-problems.

Dr.Mercola also has something to that topic:

Re: Dental Implants

dental implants need a lot of continuous hygiene.
if one is too lazy for that, like me, it is a waste of money.
there should be healthy bone to begin with.
zirconia is a problem emf-wise.
dentists are robbers by profession, it is hard to find an honest and sane one.
quite a few holistic / biologic dentists follow the scientology-church and pay large sums to have evil spirits removed.
the richer a follower, the more evil spirits of course, i heard about a dentist who paid a million usd ( and yes, he had to charge his customers first ).
holistic is just a word, find out their procedures, and wether they overcharge more than usual.
conventional dentists are idiots and/or lack a conscience, they use very poisonous materials and do not even bother to remove the ligament when pulling a tooth, which is pretty bad.
anyway, get informed before doing anything to your teeth.
lack of ( absorbed ) vitamines and minerals cause a lot of dental problems.
calcium is important, raw milk-products are a great source, but pasteurized means dead enzymes and mal-absorption.
vitamin d seems also crucial, preferable no synthetic version of it.
especially vegans need to pay attention here, and eat large quantities of vegetables.
very recommendable in case you have a dead tooth in your mouth :
" the toxic tooth : how a root canal could be making you sick " by Kulacz and Levy.
this is serious stuff.

I started taking Standard Process Biodent.
If Zirconia is bad for EMFs then what? I have E-Max Cerec Crowns made up of some kind of lithium.

I had my metal dental work changed to Zirconia in 2014 when I was far more sensitive than I am now.  Immediately I felt relief and the pain and burning in my mouth went away.  I attribute it to Zirconia's inability to conduct an electrical charge.  Earthworm, could you post your reasoning on why you think Zirconia is an EMF problem?  thanks!

Re: Dental Implants

Romana
No offense, but dont forget to brush throughly enough twice a day and floss throughly once a day.(or with the small interdental brushes if dentist advice) And 2,5-3 hours between food intake together with healthy food and lifestyle and one would have healthy teeth for life with no more cavities.

Problem is many dentists don“t learn us about preventive dental care, the best care there is. We have to read us up on it.

Re: Dental Implants

earthworm
till i was 16 i had a dentist that followed the "drill, fill and bill" mantra like crazy, twice a year.
that was in the seventies when lots of holes were drilled into healthy teeth for profit's sake.
the last time i had 6 large fillings.
since then i never brushed my teeth nor visited a dentist for 12 years, no joke.
when finally having my mouth checked, there were only 3 cavities, probably damaged old fillings.
in my view there is in general too much focus on hygiene and bacteria and too little on nutrition and health.
a guy named Ramiel Nagel follows the same logic, his books are interesting and worth reading.
of course i do not agree and resonate well with any book totally, but with him it is close to 80 %.
these days i sometimes use a "waterpik" , supposedly more effective than flossing and certainly more easy.

Re: Dental Implants

Earthworm, I can relate to what you say about the "drill, fill and bill" mantra of dentists - especially those encountered in the 60's-70's, and they had to drill huge holes in those molars to keep the amalgam from falling out which left a thin weak tooth shell behind.

I was nine when a dentist drilled a huge hole in a molar and filled it with amalgam.  My wandering tongue stuck to the fresh amalgam and pulled it out.  The dentist went berserk calling me names I had never heard before.  I freaked and swallowed the amalgam.  By nighttime I was running a high fever and hallucinating.  This went on for ten days while the family doctor came to the house a few times to give a penicillin shot while saying that he wasn't sure what was wrong - perhaps the measles although my symptoms didn't really match.  My parents and I didn't have a clue that the 50% mercury amalgam filling could be involved.  When I returned to school, I could not see the chalkboard and had to move to a seat in the front of the classroom.  I also could no longer hear the school bell.  It wasn't until many years later that I was reading about mercury poisoning cause deafness and vision loss among numerous other devastating health problems.

How corrupt the ADA must be to continue to say that amalgam usage is safe!

Re: Dental Implants

Were they replaced by zirconium? I once tried Lava Crowns but the margin wasn't right so I switched dentists but he uses the Cerec E-Max crowns. I haven't had an issue with them breaking (and I'm a grinder) but I did have gum erosion on one and the tooth below it got soft so I had to have it replaced after only 5 years.

Maybe they were replaced by zirconia, I don't know.  It was whatever was stronger material, less likely to fall apart, and not metal.  Also had to wait a couple weeks for them to be made by a lab, while the original crowns were done "while you wait".

could you post your reasoning on why you think Zirconia is an EMF problem?  thanks!
=>

sorry, i meant "zirconia is NO problem emf-wise", somehow i typed it wrong, pretty dumb, and misleading.
it is less strong than titanium though, therefore larger so a larger hole will be drilled in the bone.

implants often fail after a while because infection occurs around the fake-root.
about 20 years ago that was over 50 % within 5 years, i have no recent data.
if the bone around the extracted tooth is not cleaned out and the ligament not removed, or the implant is done too soon afterwards, or the gums around the implant are not kept clean meticulously afterwards, or one's nutrition and its absorption is not adequate, then chances of infection in the bone are high.
2D X-rays miss infected areas much more often than 3D pictures, but the latter means even more radiation.
infection may cause a bad taste apart from nasty toxins entering your blood.
pulling a tooth the conventional way can also cause an area within the bone to become or remain infected, undermining one's overall health severely, similar to root canals.

Yeah, mine were the Cerec while you wait. Yours were most likely zirconium as the E-Max Lithium ones are usually made with the Cerec while you wait system
