I know I'm terrible on followup to my enquiries but 'nother question:  has anybody on here been on a cruise recently?  Because there's the vague sliver of a chance that I might be going on one if I think it won't affect my health too much.  I was just wondering if anyone's had specific problems with navigational equipment and stuff like that.

I went on a cruise several years ago when I had far worse ES than I do
now.  The worst areas of the ship for me was the casino.  :-)

Otherwise, it wasn't really a problem...

I went on a cruise on one of the newer ships and the Wi-Fi was very strong.  They had strong Wi-Fi routers every few rooms.  Even in public areas walking up and down the steps it was up to several mW/m^2.  I think the top of the boat was a little better.  I used shielding fabric at night to block it in the cabin.

You may be better off on an older ship without all the new technology.

What size was the ship?  The one I have a hail-Mary chance of getting on is comparatively small - an Xpedition I think it was - for tooling around the Galapagos islands.  The receptionist desk for the travel agency was no help whatsoever.

No, the one I was on was one of the BIG cruise ships, with hundreds
(thousands?) of passengers.  And I don't think there was any wi-fi
on it...
