The product looks similar to aluminum window screen which I have used to block RF, except that this product appears to have a tighter weave which will probably provide better shielding. I purchased a 4' x 100' roll of metal window screen on Ebay several years ago for $65.00.

What about transparency when the mesh is applied over the windows? Will you still be able to see out and will light enter? Specs indicate that it is 62% open - so will 38% of light be blocked? You may want to ask the company about this, and also about the flexibility of the product and how it will withstand the outside elements when applied to such a large area.

Have you considered the RF blocking paint? I have an extremely ES friend who swears by the carbon paint.

Are you able to access inside your attic to apply overlapped heavy duty aluminum foil over the joists? This should be just as effective and cheaper than covering the roof with the mesh.

Hi there,
Has anyone any experience with 0.3 (or other) mil. stainless steel mesh to protect with?
I am thinking of covering the entire outside of my small house with it - including windows and doors, and earthing it - using masonry nails or staples or something, - to protect against several towers about 3 quarters of a mile away one emitting at 400 MHZ ( tetra) , another at 900. Then there seems to be a further relevant one at maybe 1800 MHZ .
Can this /would this/ should this work, does anybody know? It is quite expensive -£4,000 or so , and I only want to do it if it makes this house good to be in - not with significant residual effects, or secondary effects . It says it has attenuation of 54 db at 1 GHZ , and is good for tetra. Does anybody have practical experience with this?
