That's a good idea turning off the circuit breakers at night but what about the refrigerator defrosting each night? Isn't that a problem? Also - any ideas on how to lower the noise of the refrigerator - compressor/motor noise, not vibration? Thanks!!

Hello,
For over a year, my parents had to turn off 2 fridges at night. We neverhad any problems with defrosting. I usually went to bed around 11 and was up with the breaker on before 8. Also, I moved on my own, and I keep my fridge down in the basement. Having it in the basement cuts down on noise and emf fields. :) z --- On Wed, 8/13/08, Paresh <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Paresh <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] refridgerators To: [hidden email] Date: Wednesday, August 13, 2008, 2:56 PM That's a good idea turning off the circuit breakers at night but what about the refrigerator defrosting each night? There is supposed to be a brand called Conserve
from europe that is quiet, efficient, and less EMFs. I got some soundproofing but it smells awful so I did not use it. I do use some vibration pads under the feet. Just turning down the thermostat at night can make a difference, and using a heavy round extension cord with twisted conductors (you can often see the spiral looking bulges) to plug it in somewhere close to the service entrance. I also use a filter because the fridge has a digital display, but I still end up unplugging it often. If it starts at -2 F it stays frozen, but the fridge part does get up to 48 or 50 F by morning. Sometimes I toss some ice in the fridge part. Bill On Wed, Aug 13, 2008 at 1:01 PM, Elizabeth Mumper <[hidden email]>wrote: > Hello, > For over a year, my parents had to turn off 2 fridges at night. There are simple (heavy duty) timers you can use to turn the fridge on/off at the desired times. Just set it an forget it. See http://www.lessemf.com/emf-appl.html#735 for example.
