intro-ES to TV's, PC's not already owned a long time

Hi,

I'd like to introduce myself and my bizarre symptoms. First I'd like to mention that I live in the USA, so I get no empathy or understanding from doctors or anyone else of something that "doesn't exist" here in this country.

I've had fairly severe MCS decades and ES for around 5 years now. I react to all new TV's, PC's and printers, and have taken each one back that I've bought because of MCS and ES. With new TV's, I get a plastic, chemical odor and taste in my mouth (MCS) and then an electrical odor and taste in my mouth as well as burning, aching eyes, a dry, parched throat and a feeling that my lungs are being singed. I must get away from it all as it's overwhelming.

I thought this was a reaction to new TV's only, so bought some second-hand TV's. What I've noticed is that our 16 year old TV and 11 year old TV that we've had since they were new don't cause much of a problem at all. But if we bring any other TV in the house, it causes a big problem, even the same brand and/or same year as the ones we've had a long time. I get all the same electrical problems. Has anyone ever noticed anything like this?

I've certainly noticed reactions to things which are "new to my house",
although not necessarily new. Also, these reactions can sometimes go
away in a few days -- that is, just because I react badly to something
on day #1, doesn't mean that I will react badly on day #5 and onwards...

I am the same, we have chemical offgassing to consider we have also the
issue of pre-empting symptoms so that our ES sense is on high alert, I have
often said that evan in a Esser we still have the ability to neuraly adapt to
an EM agitant in simple terms get used to it, this may not be a good thing
but it suggests that perhaps when the initial worries (quite rightly so
and normal) simmer down the reactions may not be a profound for all
appliances, perhaps a little exposure therapy is a good thing, But also I think
that every appliance wether of the same make and model may well have its own
unique RF harmonics profile which may or maynot effect you, evan in the same
make/model there is bound to be varying changes in circuits and
electronics.

hi, Shirley,
 
typing with 1 finger here (hand surgery),so can't expound much on the subject.  i have similar problems--not as bad as you are.  the tvs you bringinto your house which are old could have any number of other mcs problems--have you considered pesticide and mold residues?  it sounds unbelieveable to others and seems freaky to us mcsers/essers but there can be plausiblereasons you react.  wish i knew a way to tell you to remediate, but its not possible for some things.
