I came up with an enclosure concept that shields you from both the
electric field and outgassed toxins. It forms an air-tight chamber for a computer, modem, or monitor. the gass is datastop glass and blocks at least 95% of the electric field. it also keeps the devices cool. It really works for me. I'm terribly sensitive to computers and monitors. Using the enclosures I'm able to use the computer for long periods of time without the horrible symptoms I used to feel. I'd like to see what you guys think of it. take a look at my website. http://www.rawair.net I think sometimes when we think we're experiencing emf symptoms, we might actually be feeling the outgassed toxins. Computer outgas PBDEs for example, which are neurotoxins, endocrine disruptors, hormone disruptors, and immunotoxins. PBDEs are similar to PCBs but are still used in eectronics as a flame retardant and are still legal! The EPA says the evidence is inconclusive about the danger of PBDEs, but some state are pushing to ban them. Also be sure to look at the info pages, where there are lots of supporting links. http://www.rawair.net/info.html |
This is pretty cool stuff! I've seen shielded enclosures but I don't
think they were air-tight. The big question is what happens if you hold an AM radio near it when running. I suspect you'll have to use filters on the cables. For a laptop running on batter it would be less of a problem, no switching power supply. If you want I can forward this to an electrical engineer who has built some enclosed systems. Filter concepts <http://filterconcepts.com> makes a lot of filters that might work for the power cords--not their "low cost" or economic models but the ones that say "switch-mode". Sometimes they are on Ebay used and affordable. For the data cables extra snap-on ferrites might help, plus good quality cables (or better yet--all fiber optic). I finally ordered the PCA RX today. Can't wait to try it. Any advice for that? I had a question about minerals though. Do you all take them? I've been drinking distilled water for years and know I need to add minerals now. My question would be for those that take them: Do I need to get a bottle of something to add to the water to drink AND some separate minerals also?
