I often go to a buddhist temple, and listen to the bells and drums played
during chanting. I notice it levels out the energy in my body when in a room when they are played. Today I bought one of these bells, and rang it at home. Instantly I felt my body tension drop and my energy start to level off. I was thinking of making a recording of this bell into an MP3 file and share with anyone who is interested. Cheers, Glenn |
Glenn and I have discussed this a little offline, but just to add to his message about buddist bells/drums. A few weeks ago my husband and I listened to "singing bowls" that some friends brought over, and my husband responded immediately and positively to the vibrations. They're quite unique. I've read that these bowls have a *healing* effect but have not tested them enough to say. However, if we had more $$ to burn I would love to get one (or two or three) and do the research. The sounds are lovely and calming -- the relaxation alone would be a great benefit. Thanks Glen, that would be great. However, I would be interetde to know
where you bought the bell.... Hi Sarah,
I bought the bell at a buddhist temple in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, www.rinpoche.ca. It is a simple low-cost ($50) bell, but has amazing sound. It is from Tibet. It is the common type of bell used during chanting at buddhist temples everywhere. I was feeling extreme nausea this afternoon, so started ringing the bell, and instantly my ears popped and my nausea started subsiding. I could feel the frequncy penetrating my whole body. Now that I think of it, the frequencies may also be good for detox, since the energy vibrates through all cells in the body. That may be a bigger reason why I have had such great healing this year. I'll have the recording of the bell to mp3 done shortly. While I'm on the topic... I'm thinking of also doing a recording at the temple that would include the chanting, drums, symbols, and bells. If I do this recording during a medicine buddha session, there is the added bonus of very powerful medicine buddha healing chants occurring at the same time. The chanting talks about small medicine buddhas in large numbers floating through the air, and entering body and causing instantaneous healing. At the same time these medicine buddhas can be sent to others for healing. Rinpoche, the monk at this temple guides participants through this ancient visualization every Tuesday at his medicine buddha practice - and its free! Everytime I talk to Rinpoche, the guru at this temple, he reveals more and more about medicine buddha and energy healing, from a Tibetian point of view. It is fascinating to hear him talk about it since it comes from ancient traditional buddhism, straight from his home in Tibet. Often I hear words about heart chakra and other rituals of energy healing. I have known him for two years, but didn't realize he knew so much about energy healing. Then again, he stayed alive for 6 months walking through the himilayas, using heat yogi and buddhist mantras to keep himself alive in freezing cold temperatures and starvation, so he must have a deep understanding of the human body in order to pull off such an amazing challenge. He told me the key was that he never doubted for a second that these rituals would work. He said he would have died on the spot if he doubted it for a second. I thought this was an interesting lesson in my challenge with ES - to continue trusting that I am healing, even though symptoms are sometimes overwhelming - the moment I don't believe I am healing is the moment it stops. It seems to ring true for me. Blessings, Glenn >From: "Benson, Sarah (Sen L. I tested some new cell phones and my trifield meter show only 2 milligaus
(0,2 tesla) on the Motorola V980 (UMTS) Daniele ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marc Martin" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2005 7:57 AM Subject: Re: [eSens] Re: Ringing bell gives some relief > > > More information (and sound samples) here: > > > > http://www.himalayanbowls.com > > I brought up this web page, and my wife informs me that we already > own one of these (!) I agree that a mpg file of the bell/bowl's sound would not be the same, unfortunately. I have listened to the sound files at this website and they do not replicate the effect of the bowl in person. Especially if you strike the bowl and hold it close to you as it rings -- to me it was as if I could feel the ring echoing deep inside my body. Marc, if you get a chance to try your wife's Tibetan bowl I'd love to hear about your experience. My reading and personal experience suggests that different people respond to different bowls, and that it may be the vibrational frequency of a particular bowl that has a soothing/healing effect on a particular person (since everyone's personal "frequency" is different I guess). I know my husband responded best to one bowl out of the three that we tried. To me it had the least appealing ringing sound ("voice"), but its vibration was very powerful and penetrating. If these bowls can truly heal, I am guessing that the vibration helps to "reset" the body's natural vibrational frequency after exposure to the disruptive energies of EMF. But it would be nice to test this theory. I think it could be better 2 milligaus than 100 like the other phone tested
!!! (maybe I have to reduce / 3 because my trifield meter is for AC current) Also radio/microwaves are rather less (0.05- 0.15 mW/cm2) Daniele |

Yes, you are correct. I attempted to record bell sounds last night, but the
frequencies are too high for microphone to record. I thought that if we can easily record piano etc, that bells should work too. But "aw" those frequencies are so powerful they not only penetrate body, but get past the microphone too. I'm going to try other more sensitive recording devices to see if same result occurs. You might like to check into these three books on singing bowls published by Binkey Kok Publications (www.binkeykok.com). Two come with an accompanying CD of various bowl recordings for balancing chakras and healing. (You can also get them through Amazon.) "Singing Bowl Exercises for Personal Harmony" by Anneke Huyser. "Chakra Delight: Singing Bowls for Balancing the Energy Centers", CD with text by Dick de Ruiter. "Unique Singing Bowl", CD with text by Dick de Ruiter. I've also found some beneficial effects with mantra chanting, though I haven't found them to be consistently reproducible. There is a great collection of assorted classical mantras sung by Deva Premal, mostly Vedic and Buddhist, with some other cultural songs sprinkled in, that I highly recommend. Deva has a beautiful contralto voice, and her husband, Miten, provides a modern rendition of the classical rhythms that the Western esthetic usually finds easier to listen and sing with. I have the albums "The Essence", "Love Is Space", and "Embrace" and I find them all marvelous. Kids love 'em, too.
