Oh, I didn't know, sorry. It's too bad even in a place like Norway known for nature, that it's hard to " get away". I relate to just about everyone's post here. I am finding people being downright mean over the fact I need a landline and DSL I also mention that I might be willing to try some type of wireless set up that is 100 ft away and wired into my trailer and then they really lay into me. No one wants to move into a place where there is no phone and No internet, especially someone who is bedbound mostly. Really I am not interested in going anywhere any more. Gave up the thought long ago. Travel is hard for me w/ just the fibro issue alone and as long as I have my needs met and am connected, I do not feel like I am missing anything.
One phone provider refused me a wired modem that could work w/ the only power I would have: low emf DC solar. Mine works on their type of line and w/ my system and they refused to allow me to use it. Filed a case w/ the ADA-had to pass up 2 low emf spots thanx to them so I am going to be a real bitch on this one. Those cases take so long. The company is NM based and those tend to be the first to break the laws for "reasonable accommodation". For me my ideal is a safe spot w/ a safe phone and internet and just stay there in peace on my own. At this point isolation is not bad. A person can be a lot lonelier around others. |
Good for you! Agree about the loneliness statement! Here in fairly rural Michigan there is no problem with wired internet, landline, and distance from cell towers (if you go out into the country 15 minutes from a city.) fwiw. And the utility will remove smart meters for a fee. WE NEED TO START COMMUNITIES AND ADVOCACY GROUPS NOT JUST FOR OURSELVES BUT FOR THE NUMEROUS OTHERS WHO ARE JUST BEGINNING TO NOTICE REACTIVITY.! Well it's great to know that there is some place in the country that is not completely wired up! Yes, the feeling alone thing is big! Bonnie On Wed, Oct 21, 2015 at 8:07 AM, Lynnezhu [via ES] <[hidden email]> wrote:

it's true, traveling anywhere is such an ordeal. I deliberately try to find times of day when the Wifi/ cell tower usage will be lower and take interstates when I can which cuts down a little EMF's. I do stay home as much as I can too. But, then how does one work and socialize?
