I have been finding that some people are very disrespectful in their reactions/ responses to my EMR condition. Mostly people think I'm simply lying/making it up. I find this incredibly rude. How are others dealing with these type of reactions? Are you getting them too?

I just don't mention it if I don't have to. A lot of people have never heard of such a thing, and therefore don't believe that such a thing exists (which seems to be human nature). Plus, since they probably love all of their electronic gadgets, they don't really want to hear that they might be bad for them!

Thanks for your response. I think it's true. but my condition is quite serious, as I wear gloves a wifi deflecting outfit with a head scarf and a sun hat with a piece of plastic draped in front of my face to help deflect the EMF's. So I stand out very much. Also I sometimes ask people to turn off their cell phones so I can feel better and that tends to upset people too. I wish I could be more invisible. I have been looking for parking so I have to bring it up. I ran out of time and have to be out of where I am, so I am having to move to a parking space w/ the same RFs as here. At least it's not worse , but still bad. I will have to go from there and look for something more suitable. In all other respects than RFs the new place is SO much better and has me closer to look at others. That means less travel and did not realize what a toll it takes to go anywhere till I put my meter on in the car! DANG! Bonnie I like what you are doing as far as covering up. I will not go in places with wifi. I get pretty exhausted trying to explain it. I need to rethink and find some comfortable shielding I can wear when in the car. Maybe like a fashion burka to put over my head in the car. I would probably find the trips not taking such a toll! I mostly stay home-green on the accousticom and when home 90% in my canopy: that leaves me w/ only the neighbors smart meter pulses. I just told the guy doing the work where to put the hooks: at night I will have it over the bed and then I can move it to a hook over the couch in the day. In the end I want gypsy decor so it will look like part of the plan anyway. Everyone now thinks my canopy is to block mosquitoes when they first see it, they hear the price and ask if it keeps them out, and I tell them no I still get bit.LOL They are surprised to hear what the thing is really for. Yes mine pulls serious double duty.
I think what Marc says is a lot of it. If people admit it it's hard to give up the gadgets. I make such a sacrifice to have landline and wired internet. If I could live w/ out either, I could have a safe place in a week. Then how would I survive if I can't order food and groceries etc..It's a big trade off and people are going to have to just understand my limits. Yes some are quite rotten mean! Maybe it is better to mention it as little as possible. I got a bad response when I told someone I did not have AC power in my new place. anything out of the norm. No it's not cool to live in a tiny home, go off grid, eat healthy food-it's a very small group that are on that path, but the media plays it up because it's so weird, making people think it's the next trend. Trust me it's not. People have a hard time with anything that has not been made illegal due to safety findings, being willing to give it/them up to save their health. Lines at McDs and cigarettes. The truth is out about those things and you still have to do them to be in/OK, so with something that is hidden and you can't see.Look out. All I really care about is self preservation at this point and the rest can go... Knowing I am looking out for myself helps. If I do not tell them to take the cell phone away, I can not continue business w/ them, if I can't think or talk, so there's only one option there really and if they do not like it...They do not have to live w/ the effects it has on me, but I do and that is the bottom line for me. Sometimes I feel like the monster in a freak show. I have had people tell me I am lying about my fibro pain for years. This is worse. |
I really appreciate your sharing. I have been feeling these last four months ( since I finally figured out what was going on with me!) I have felt quite a "freak" and quite alone in my " freakishness". It helps to hear other stories. People can be quite demeaning and don't even realize it as they tell you that you are simply making this all up. Why on earth would someone in their sane mind make this nightmare up? I made a outfit for myself from a fabric I bought at a store in Latham N.Y. that specializing in products to help with EMF's. I wear it whenever I leave the house. It really helps enormously. sometimes I wear it underneath my other clothes too. Are you familiar with the paints that you can put on the wall to protect yourself? also the window coverings? That might make being in your house a little more freeing. Maybe you rent and that is not possible? I have a question for you. May I ask how you are living without AC. I have cut down as much as I can, but still keep a couple of circuits on ( for the water pump, the computer, 2 lights at night and the frig.. What you said about people is true too, anything out of the cultural " media / mega business created consume norm" is thought to be wrong/ bad/ foolish/ or stupid. Sometimes I have to go to meetings and really don't want to be subjected to the wifi from everyone's phones. if I don't say something, I have to be " physically made uncomfortable or sick. It's a real struggle to figure out the balance of enduring the criticism/ defiance of others or simply not interchanging with the world much. thanks for "listening" Bonnie On Mon, Oct 5, 2015 at 1:57 AM, JDark [via ES] <[hidden email]> wrote: I have been looking for parking so I have to bring it up. i can sympathize.
my condominium board could not relate AT ALL. i had to move because i was overwhelmed by a neighbor's tenants - several young college-age people in a three-bedroom condo. each one must have had his own wifi modem, cell phone, etc... because the assault was huge. but i was the odd person out there. i still used a land line and ethernet rather than wifi. when i moved to my new home, one of my dear roommates is a computer tech - systems analyst - at the local university. he LOVES everything 'modern'. i had to make a stand for ethernet and so on... i turn off two breakers for the room i'm in... he wants SO much to NOT believe that EMF is harmful. however, when he bought his new car and left his ipad in it, i was tortured with 'something' - i knew not what - and when i found out it was an ipad, it made sense. he took it away to a safe place. then i was having excruciating cramps for a few nights and couldn't figure it out, so i finally mentioned it to him. he had left his ipad AND macbook pro in his car and when he removed them, i slept well again. he has finally begun to understand that some people are more aware of the electrical universe than others. he was SO apologetic. i told him i didn't tell him earlier because i couldn't imagine him leaving his computers in the car after our last incident. i think he is getting the message. but i too don't expect most people to understand or to even care... they have their own problems. nowadays if i am in a situation where i am beginning to melt down (like when a hairdresser began to blow dry my hair and when some people wanted me to go to a pizza parlor after a class), i just say, "thank you, but I'm kind of allergic to electricity." they seem to be ok with that. :) i don't know if the condo board would EVER have understood. i was stranger than an alien with three heads and green skin, in their eyes. I think essential to make our condition know. I always carry scientific studies that I can hand out. Here is one http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25529971
there are tons of serious scientific studies on this already. if we just keep quiet this runaway train will keep running away. I find most to be interested and eager to get info. good general article http://www.prevention.com/health/healthy-living/electromagnetic-fields-and-your-health |

Thanks for the sympathizing, it's helpful truly. Did I understand you correctly that you felt your roomates ipad in the car when you were inside in the house? That is sad you had to move because the condo board was not able to accomodate you. Hopefully the ADA ( Americans with Disabilities Act) will eventually classify it and then it would be easier for us all. I was recently asked to leave a public speaking club I was in because they didn't like my condition. I worked with these folks, for almost 4 years and considered them somewhat friends. That really hurt. Of course, I'm being more careful now and trying to think of new ways to "hide" my condition. I don't look forward to the future in so many ways, but I'm trying not to get to down about it. Maybe I'll just have to move to Green Banks VA! or at least visit it:))

the car in the garage is about 30 feet from my bed.
there was an ipad AND a macbook pro. he's BIG on technology. and he's learning to be compassionate to we who can't tolerate much EMF. so sorry about your public speaking group. i don't think well when i am around much EMF. i go to a study group at the library but i can't say i think well at that time... the library has very strong wifi. so i leave asap. this town is really, really big on wifi. the university, the town itself, plus businesses - adds up to a lot of overlap. so i can't be in town very long when i go shopping or to one of my study groups. i am so grateful for trees and land that is fairly free of EMF. love, patricia On Oct 7, 2015, at 4:45 PM, Bonnie [via ES] wrote: Thanks for the sympathizing, it's helpful truly. Thanks for your sharing. I do find even the parks, some of them around me are quite high too. I'd love to find/ create a new " safe zone" like France and some other countries have- wouldn't that be great? hi Bonnie
have you always been emf sensitive? i told a new friend yesterday why i live deep in the woods. he thought my sensitivity to emf was interesting. what i tell myself or people who are "unwilling" to understand that it is like telling what heat feels to a person who cannot feel heat. in just a way more complex way. it just opens up to the idea that peoples perception of reality are different. heat is like one frequency. we are dealing with thousands of different frequencies. |
Hard to know how long- maybe it has been affecting me a long time but I just didn't know it. But, in May I had a seizure and got a comcussion, which I know was caused by it. So officially I know since May this year- a short while. And you? how long have you known? Is that why you live in the woods? No cell towers near you then? I like your idea of the heat talk- I could give it a try. thanks, Bonnie On Mon, Oct 12, 2015 at 5:46 PM, Hawk [via ES] <[hidden email]> wrote: hi Bonnie Bonnie J. hi
ok. so you think you got a seizure because of emf? i had emf sensitivity since i was a child. did not talk about it to anyone. kept it for myself. i thought it was just the way i was put together. hehe. so its been a tough ride for sure and still is. in 2011/2012 i became so ill that i just had to talk about it. these days i am having a hard time keeping my head up. very exhausted ,but i dont see the point in all this struggle anymore. i got not so much radiation here. but now i got 4g on my phone which came online about half a year ago. atleast i sleep here and can have a better energetic place to go to. i have some friends and a girl :) haappy for that :) i managed to live quite a normal summer this year. that was a blessing. but cant live in the past. blessing to you! |
Wow, you have been so many years,...struggling. glad you found some deep woods to make your life easier. Of course, for privacy reasons you may not want to say, but if you would be comfortable in revealing the state you live in. I've been researching and trying to find locations where there may be less EMF's around. It's hard to locate areas. I know there are little pockets here and there around. But, then too how does one make a living when so far from main areas? It's all a trick to figure out for sure. Glad too, you life is working a bit better for you too!:)) Bonnie On Wed, Oct 14, 2015 at 8:18 AM, Hawk [via ES] <[hidden email]> wrote: hi Bonnie J.
