Wireless meter reading

johnlankes
My wireless gas meter was installed this week:
http://virginianaturalgas.com/Home/MeterReading.aspx

The electricity meter www.dom.com/customer/amr_qa_electric.jsp is next
to my bedroom and the gas meter is beside the living room.

I haven't checked the water meter lately; at least that one is out by
the street.

See if they can install one that reports through your phone once of
month.

If you wrap them in aluminium foil, the radiation is stopped.
If they want to know the counts, they have to ring at your door.
They won't like it, but you do not have to stand the radiation.

Have you got a manufacturer or part number on the equipment interface
between the utility meter and phone line?
I doubt if I could convince anyone that this is doable without more
information on what you're talking about.
