An existing slow speed system. Launching of the "next generation" (higher speed) satellites is scheduled to begin in October 2015 and to be completed by 2017. (done)

Globalstar: 24 satellites, Already in operation at slow data speeds.

Outernet: 200 nanosatellites (4 inch cubes), . Receive-only service began in 2015, two-way WiFi in four years.

How are they proposing to do up links?  The dishes are huge. Are you not talking about 5G satellite?

Surely the only healthy future is fiber optics and investing in infrastructure. This is safe efficient and offers more effective data transfer. Given the known health risks to people animals and crops it seems ignorant to propose any thing else.  Lifi and vortexing are the prefect solution to getting away from these dangerous signals we have now.  Light has been evolved around and does not damage our biology. We should be doing data in those frequencies only.

For the past 20+ years, there have been companies saying that they're going to launch thousands of satellites (starting with Microsoft), but all of these companies never do it.  It'd cost a fortune to launch & maintain that number of satellites.

A handful? yes.  Dozens?  probably.  Thousands?  probably not.

I DO HOPE SO, Marc.

The more they cost, the BEST!!!

They are going to infest us with the smaller 5G antennas, but at least, we can still escape somewhere.
