My name is Joan Benedetti and I live on Whidbey Island north of
Seattle. I am 69 years old and I have no tv, computer, cell phone, toaster, etc. I am frightened at the prospect of Smart Meters coming to Langley where I live. Please keep me informed about what is happening with Smart Meters on Whidbey Island and share your own experiences with Smart Meters and EMF problems if you are in my area. |

Hi Joan, welcome to the group!
This is a world-wide group, so we don't necessarily know much about what's going on in your area. Although I have been to Langley before, and it seems like the population density is low enough there that any meters may be less problematic than in places where there are lots of houses and apartments all packed together. The decisions on the meters all depend on whoever you power company is. You might want to contact them and see what they are telling people. Hi Joan,
I am just catching up on my email. I live in Seattle and I am ES. I wrote some info on Smart Meter status in Seattle several months ago. Seattle City Light is gearing up to install them within the next year. Now is the time to protest. Seattle and some of the outlying areas already have quite a few one directional wireless meters, but the Smart Meters communicate bi-directional. I assume you know all about the Dual Doppler Radar installation at Langley. I wrote quite a bit on that subject last year on the ES List. In case you did not see it and you want me to forward the info let me know. I do not know if you follow the Yahoo ES list and how long you have been on it. If I find out any info about Whidbey I will let you know.
