Could you please share what helps you guys with EMF coming from the screen or the computer tower?
I'm new to the forum, I'm sure this has been discussed before. Could you guide me to an old thread? Thank you! |

Well, there is lots that you can do to better tolerate using computers.
However, one of the best solutions is to find a more tolerable computer, so that you don't have to do so many other things. "Other things" can include: -- putting the tower further away from you -- putting the monitor further away from you -- using an analog (VGA) connection from your video card to your monitor instead of digital (DVI, HDMI, etc.) one -- if your monitor has backlight setting, turn it down as low as possible -- change the output resolution on your PC to a lower resolution setting -- use a roller-ball mouse instead of an optical mouse -- use a video cable that is triple/quad shielded and with ferrites -- plug everything into a power strip that filters "dirty power" -- if you are sensitive to blue-light, adjust the colors so that they are redder -- use EMF protection devices, either by the monitor or by you Marc |
Marc, thank you for all the info...
What do you use to filter dirty power? There are so many alternatives in the market, all saying they are better than the other.... Which EMF protection device are you mentioning? Thanks a bunch!!! |

> What do you use to filter dirty power?
I use Furman power strips with "linear filtering" technology, which are usually sold for audio / video professionals (not for health concerns). As I find that many traditional filters (e.g. Stetzer) just cause new symptoms, as they reduce some frequencies while increasing others. Not sure if the Furman linear filtering power strips are available for 220 volt / 50 hz power. > Which EMF protection device are you mentioning? For computers, I personally have had the best luck with stuff from Quantum Products (e.g. Quantum Pro, Quantum Companion, Quantum Byte software): http://www.upgradingtechnology.com/quantumpro.html However, there are LOTS of such devices on the market, although for myself, only very FEW of them have been helpful. Another helpful one have been "Springlife Polarizers", although I don't believe these are sold anymore (although you can occasionally still find people selling old stock). Other people have had luck with products from Earthcalm, Pulsor, Gia, Advanced Tachyon Technologies, Materia Tachyon Incognita, etc. |

I believe this person still has some springlife polarizers to sell. These seem definitely beneficial, unlike a lot of products which may suppress current symptoms but lead to other issues in the long run:

Hi there
Some points: -Keep the computer as far away from you so you don't get symptoms, also symptom lthat can come after lets say 16 hour or weeks of use that you "dont" know where come from. Instead go for a longer display cable from your desktop to display. Depends of course of a lot of facors, just that its a possibility Turn the led light down on computer screen. -Buy screen thats possible to adjust low, some new with very intense ledlightning you cannot decrease them enough. -Check the components before you buy them let the salesman connect them and check them with a quality meter in shop. Make sure you can deliver them back if them turn out to be bad. -Turn on "white text" on dark background in os, or high contrast or high visibility as its called. The display will only emit 1-6% of the standard all white screen depending on how much pictures are on the display etc.. In windows 10 you go to settings then help**(something) then high contrast then choose one of the high contrast theme with black background. You can also choose the specific colors for text etc. thar suits you so you make it custom for you. Its possible in mac too I\ve read but have never had macs. In windows now every os thing is on black background. -Download adblock program for edge in windows it will make ads with f.example that has much light in edge browser black. So even further reducing the light emissions, and emf. Adblocks its even possible for every broweser. If using chrome browser you can install theme like black red shards and also install high contrast function which make the background black. -If going for a desktop tower computer cabinets, steel absorbs rejects more of emf than aluminium. I once had the cabinet open many years ago with direct view to the motherboard cpu harddrive etc. Even at 2m I felt it and this was before I got es sufferer. Well, only had es very very mildly. As soon as I mounted the sidedoor again there was no problem more. So buy solid steel cabinet with no side plexiglass like the gamers use as this will let emf through. And also a lot only use plastic in front part of the cabinet this will also not protect from the internal components. And most cabinets today use aluminium, pity. -External harddrives CAN be very extreme emf source. For full security buy a 5m usb cable and have them 5+ meter away from where you sit, or connect it to usb port on router or buy nas etc I once had a seagate 3,5" size that I at least had to have 4m away from me. This also before I got full blown ES. Though I had some 2,5 external hdd that was no problem 1m away from me. So depends but take care usb cables are cheap. -Keyboards and mices can also be problems, but the only pheripal in this category I have had really problem with was a newly bought expensive gaming mouse with high tech technology, its name razer deathadder elite. (the trifield meter didnt show up anything even close up to it.....so dont trust cheap meters in general) It was very good fast and accurate but couldnt use it. Now i use the cheapest logitech kt120 keyb and b100 mouse they work fine i think for me. Just turn up the sensitivity to maximum in mouse settings. Ps2 as someone has mentioned may be best I dont know. Ive never had problems with any ps2 or usb keyboard I have tried. -If you cant tolerate a computerdisplay or even a larger tv that you set further away you can check out projectors. Im using it myself and works fine for computer use. Im using epson tw 5350. Still it gives me problems if everything is white or watching videos but for productivity - black background I have no problems. And I have changed the settings of the projector to low light and eco mode etc. You will need a white somewhat even wall or a suitable projector screen. And its a little bit noise from it. But you can change the picture size from small to big and have the projector far away from you. Im having it 2m away from me right now and no problems. Have also tested a asus projector with led light 250 ansi lume some years ago but this was weak light needed very dark room and also gave me problems. Many advice not going for dlp type projectors but insted lcd because everyone may get headache from it due to rainbow effect and other picture artifacts. Downside with projectors with lamp you have to change lamp after 5000 to 12000 hours with the newer ones and they cost approx 80 to 200$ for a new lamp but for normal use that will take years. I bought the projector assuming a lamp was safe like a glowing lamp but the lamp used in mine is uhp style lamp with mercury in it so it may emit some bad emf. But also the lcd technology may case problems. Ive tried to find a projector that emits no emf at all but have not found it yet. So I could used it for tv films too. -Some modems routers etc. are very bad. So choose equipment carefully. Even if tested with consumergrade emf meters and found safe they may be bad. The expensive routers have a lots of antennas and lots of bands and frequencies so the normally emits a lot more than a cheap n300 wifi wifi router. I use asus rt n12d used as acesspoint which I have no problems with it at 3 m distance though it can handle only 4 devices. And only using one antenna on it and antenna pointing to me so it will emit less rf against me. Some or most wifi on routers also can change transmitting strength. And its wise to get some distance to these network devices. More the better in a way. Even the new modemrouter I got with wifi disabled was very bad at even 3,5 meter... Hope this helps. Take care. |

Laptop on battery with ground cable connected to a rod outside works for me. If I plug it in I will feel it very soon after. I also use a fiber optic USB adapter to get internet to it. The internet cable being made of metal was still bringing some EMF from the router into the laptop. My laptop is ULV (Ultra Low Voltage ) Indicated by the U at the end of the model, for example i5-5300U. It also has a flicker free screen. It's quite difficult to know this ahead of buying it. Also I have a solid state drive, and I use TPFanControl (for thinkpads) to control the fan so as to keep it mostly off. I have f.lux installed and on the dimmest setting, and brightness on dimmest possible so I can still see it. I can use it for hours with very little effect.. The wifi signals from outside coming in the room affect me more than the laptop.. I had a short period when a neighbor turned wifi off while away on vacation and I was working for 5-7hours a day with no problem at all. This is what I tell people: don't assume it's the computer.. sometimes it could be wifi and you will be wasting your time trying to find the right computer. I think there is some synergy between the wifi and touching electronics.. they call it wave riding, and you just can't get rid of that no matter what computer you use. |
OMG, you guys are too good.
I feel it will take me years to fix my computer room.... Thank you a lot, it will take me time to understand what you are talking about, but I'll try!!! ![]() I'll write down, item by item and see what I can do, slowly. I have a husband that does not believe in ES, so it's hard to do ANY changes here.... |
Best speech I found for those who don't believe:
https://openparliament.ca/committees/health/41-2/58/dr-riina-bray-1/ Said by a real M.D doctor that sees ES people.. if you go through the whole session, Devra Davis is present there as well, and other EMF experts. |
Great article, thanks for posting this!

Wave riding? Is that what I should call the feeling whenever I have to actually touch my monitor and feel like a battery? Like I had to dreadfully do right now as I applied my LED screen protector that just came in. It's not the prettiest thing in the world with the glare it gives and I'm not sure how it'll look at night in here but it helps a lot right from the start, actually have to get used to it's lack of heavy radiation now. I'll give the HDMI cable a go later this evening and see how it stands up to the protector because currently I'm getting no more face burning sensations from this using the VGA input and at most my eyes can still feel it a bit but I don't know if that just cause I had to touch the monitor while it was on to mess with the settings and I'm just a bit over charged. I'll report back on how I'm doing when I get used it over the next couple days. When I stand in front of the room with the router for too long by accident it'll have a lasting effect, I'll get hit with the pulse and that'll make me sensitive for more by just charging me for lack of knowledge on exactly what's going on there I guess. Update: Used the HDMI cable and played one of the most bright colorful games I had for a couple hours with no major issues besides a little eye irritation. I noticed the rest of my ES problems here are definitely coming from the wifi and smart meters on this place by the signature ringing in my ears. But I hope since I have this now that my body has an easier time recovering from it all because that's one major source of exposure down. bought it from this site - www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-protection/LED-LCD-screen-protection-film |

Personally i really need this systems.
As a test, i went back to touching the computer normally for 2 days, and i made stool (feces) that was almost perfectly white... |
(to elaborate on above comment)
this is my hypothesis: my liver gets overloaded with toxins so it doesn't want to produce bile, hence white stool. |
amazing stuff you're building!!! I saw the videos!
I'm not that E-sensitive as you, I think. Thank you for sharing your 'devices'. I think there is a connection between heavy metals intoxication (due to bad detox pathways to some people), making us more prone to feel the electrosmog... If toxic environments are good for pathogen growth, such as candida, parasites, and these pathogens are extremely toxic on their own (candida produces spores which are very neuro toxic), and parasites when they die are very toxic too (causing herxheimer reactions), well, all that clog the liver + gall bladder... making us feel tired, more toxic. I do start to think about that connection bad detoxing ability -> heavy metal accumulation -> antenna effect increased - > low grade chronic infections such as candida + parasites with inflammation -> more NEURO TOXINS accumulated -> more electro sensitivity... https://www.healthline.com/health/multiple-sclerosis/demyelination#treatment-and-diagnosis6 https://www.livestrong.com/article/148679-what-are-the-causes-of-myelin-nerve-damage/ When I read about causes for demyelination (viruses, vaccines, statin drugs, liver damage, inflammation...), it does make some sense to me. MS patients are full of chronic infections, so in constant inflammation. They lose myelin and their symptoms look VERY MUCH like the symptoms of electrosensitive patients. I'm on an extreme antioxidant diet (mostly raw veggies and fruits, with some animal protein now, after week 5), then I added a zapper to kill whatever is active (and I do feel the effect), and as I always take neurotoxin binders when I'm killing parasites or candida, I'm doing a sort of chelation treatment at the same time. The difference is crystal clear. I'm much less electrosensitive than a month ago. It's ALMOST as though I do not feel the computer or the cell phone anymore. I won't over use them, because I'm still afraid of results. But I feel grounded, sleeping well (not perfect, but deep enough), calm in the presence of electrosmog... It can't be that my myelin has been rebuilt so fast. I think that the addition of antioxidants in excess, avoiding all inflammatory foods (such as all grains, all milk products) + a chronic infection treatment + neurotoxin binders are doing the job well. I wonder if this will last though. It's sort of a half-time job though (as I need to prepare and buy food, all organic, and it takes time, as I do my own probiotic food too)... the difference is so clear that I wonder if I'm not imagining things. It's as though the cell phone did nothing at all to me. I don't have a smart phone though, just an old type of phone. |
thanks, building is one of my stronger points,
healing myself and understanding what is going on with my body is my weak spot, i'm learning that so slowly. Or maybe it's hard for everybody, idk. |

My God, Meri!! You're an AMAZING skillful person!
I'm so sorry you are SO sensitive, BUT at the end, you did develop something there!!!! Thanks for sharing that! Can you actually type well with the SMALLER separator? |

i like towers because radio will play with monitor off

I found this video of 9 minutes, where the guy explains how to take practically ZERO EMFs from computers. You only need to find bigger cables, buy a projector to project the screen on the wall, and put the computer and monitor in the next room. the only EMF you'll get is from the LED projector (as it has to be in the room, somewhere), and the keyboard + mouse. But if the computer is in the next room, and the computer monitor too, well, I suppose it will emit less radiation than watching old TVs. He shows exactly what connectors / adapting cables he used. It does not look too complicated at all (and not expensive, plus you don't need to buy a new computer, nor a new screen!) It works on lap tops too! |
