Hi, Kris,

I take calcium AEP and pantethine.  I have written many times here as to dosage, but if you actually wish to try this, I will send it again to you on request.  It works by feeding the adrenals.  I also take manganese and taurine, but do not recommend this unless you check out your need for it.  (Yes, you could try it once to see if it works, but itis not something to take on an on-going basis, unless you know a deficiency exists.  I take this to close ion channels in my brain and it was not prescribed, I came upon it by doing searches into medical research; so inessence, I am my own guinea pig.)  With cal AEP and pantethine, thereare no such precautions.  I also think sublingual B12 helps before bed and natural vit D3 helps, but the B12 and D3 aren't for immediate reactions, but long-term help.

Good luck; hope you find things which help you,
Diane

I've heard that Pantethine also reduces cholesterol for what that's worth.
I'm not a big believer in the lower cholesterol/lower heart attack theory but Pantethine at least has other benefits.

Have you tried taking regular pantothenic acid, like in calcium pantethonate?
If so, are the results comparable to pantethine?

Thanks,
John.

Re: Vit to counter act exposures

Hi, John,

I think I did try cal pantethenate at one time--I tolerate few calciums andthat is one I believe I did poorly on.  But that was also before I realized I could repack supplements in small amounts.  So I would correctly say, no, I do not have enough experience with this to say one way or the other whether it would work.  (But I suspect not--cal AEP is a very specific formulation.)

Re: Vit to counter act exposures

Hi All,

Kris asked for this info and since I had it written out for her, I am also posting to everyone.  I assume the reason alot of people have not tried this protocol is due to the amount of time it takes to build up toleranceand get to the full dosage.  It has been single-handedly the best thing I have taken for my adrenal fatigue and autonomic nervous system disorder, not to mention ES.  I also no longer deal with chronic fatigue syndrome since using it (tho that took a few other steps along with, to work out).

Hi, Kris,

I have been able to address most of my emf reactions with success with “Wellness Resources” brand calcium AEP (capsules containing 200mgs of Calcium from Calcium 2 Amino Ethanol Phosphate—Cal2 AEP; plus 1800mg Amino Ethanol Phosphate) and 300mg pantethine capsules (a specific type of B5), taken together.  I mention the brand because Calcium AEP is hard to find and other types of calcium do not work for me.  Also, not all Cal AEP has the same formulation.  You will initially have to work up to the dosage needed by repacking empty capsules.  People who have tried this, and had to quit due to reactions, are either not doing this correctly (I can answer questions on this if it becomes problematic) ORhave huge gut flora/candida problems.  Understand that I had candida problems, too.  The cal AEP kills off candida and other aberrant gut flora, so almost everyone will have at least *some* reaction and detox symptoms to that.  You will just have to
ride this out.  Repacking the supplements in very low amts and building up to a full dose slowly will take time and you *won’t* see immediate help with emfs until you get to the point of tolerating at least 4 to6 whole capsules of each cal and pantethine.  I personally re-packed with fractions of the original cal and pantethine capsule contents, and slowly built up to 9 capsules/day of each cal and pantethine, taken in 3 dosesat mealtimes.  Understand, this was for adrenal fatigue and autonomicnervous system disorder—not purposely for emf stress.  (I only later realized I could use it for that.)  Then, when my blood pressure and fatigue were stabilized, and I no longer reacted to most exertion, Islowly lowered this amount and began taking the calcium AEP and pantethineonly when my bp fell due to stress (stress usually caused by emfs).  For emf stress or other stress, I take 2 caps each of cal AEP and pantethine with a large glass of water
every 20 mins until my blood pressure begins to rise—one of my symptoms is plummeting bp.  (You can do it differently—2 each every 20 minutes till symptoms abate.)  If you do not see a difference inan hour, wait and take 2-3 each with each meal (up to 9/each) for a month or 2, then retry the stress dosage.   I carry these caps and water with me now wherever I go.  I was prescribed this supplementation regime to address my CFS, adrenal, ANS, and lymphatic issues.  A nutritionist also told me how to use the supplement for stress—from exertion or emfs every 20 minutes.

This will not remediate a headache or migraine, however, I have seen some improvement using molybdenum and B12 for that.  People who are on gluten-free diets often are molybdenum deficient.  I do not know if that includes you, but if it does, this might work for you.  (It might be worth a try either way.)  Btw, molybdenum ALSO requires getting used to—it causes detoxing which can initially make you feel worse.  Take it with a B12 sublingual, and if still difficult to tolerate, add a little B6.  Molybdenum is necessary for liver detox phases and so you will need to supplement this if you are not getting it in your food.  Ifever you get too bad a detox from either molybdenum or cal AEP, eat a grapefruit and it will stop the liver from processing toxins.  (However, your body needs to detox, so this will not be good to do all the time.)  Generally speaking, all of us with ES/EMS have toxic issues which need addressed.  Detoxing will be
unpleasant, but it is what leads to healing for ES/EMS.

Good luck; hope this helps you,
Diane

No, I know nothing about Pantothenic acid nor calcuim pantethonate, nor pantethine.
What do they all do?

Try googling it...

Pantothenic acid is vitamin B5, and in your regular vitamin B supplemnts itis usually included as Calcium pantethonate.

According to wikipedia, "pantethine (bis-pantethine or co-enzyme pantethine) is a dimeric form of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It is composed of twomolecules of pantothenic acid linked by cysteamine bridging groups.
The monomer of this compound is known as pantetheine and is an intermediatein the production of Coenzyme A by the body. Pantethine is considered the more biologically active form of vitamin B5, but it is less stable, decomposing over time if it is not kept refrigerated. Most vitamin B5 supplements are therefore in the form of calcium pantothenate, a salt of pantothenic acid."

Vitamin B5 are needed by the adrenals, the liver and for energy production, among other things.
Under stress, the adrenals' need for B5 increases.

John.
