We Energies has responded already to my letter and my MD's letter.
They acknowledge having received both our letters, but do not respond to anything whatsoever that we said. My doctor had written about health effects, citing several known biological effects and giving sources for thousands of research studies. I had written about how the statutes they quoted in a previous letter do not in fact give them a legal right to turn off our power if we won't accept an RF-broadcasting meter. (My lawyer concurred with me.) They say: "The electric and natural gas RMR equipment we use is safe...." and that "We Energies and the broader scientific commnity believe that the AMR equupment we are installing poses no adverse health effects." They say we have only the following three options: 1) Have a new AMR meter attached to our home. 2) Have it installed elsewhere on our property at our expense.(No point, as the RF will travel via the wiring and be broadcast throughout the house.) 3) Have our electric service from them disconnected. I used to read nightmarish fiction books about the future and wonder if it would really be like that. Here we are. About this matter I do have a different opinion.
I see elektrosmog as three components: - electrical fields - magnetic fields - frequencies Each of these may occur separately without the others. This is seen from a biological viewpoint, not theoretical. Frequencies can have a devastating biological effect, without any measurable electrical field present. The *dirty power* consists of VLF frequencies mainly in the mains electricity net, and can be handled with some filters. (It is better to eliminate the sources first, and then handle the rest with some filters.) But we also do have what I call *dirty air*, which consists of VLF frequencies in the air, originating from electrical appliances, like LCD TV's etc. Here filters can do nothing, because it is in the air. I am now playing around with this Impulsdetektor < 100 kHz, and I find remarkable VLF sources. I can hear the beatings of my watch, the blue lights of my USB hub, and the signals from heat consumption meters which hang on radiators. Normally these signals are so weak, I could not measure them, but now I can. I am going to record them and place these modulations in my sound collection on the webpage. I know for some time, that electrosenstives do react to very tiny signals, which are hardly measurable. I found, that these heat consumption meters (Techem) of which the inside is 1" by 2", radiate VLF, which I can measure only when my probe is directly on it. But electrosensitives can *feel* these signals at distances of a few meters away. In a very curious way, VLF frequencies do carry much farther than theoretically assumed, and do have a higher biological impact than high frequencies. If *normal* people listen to my recorded modulations (Pagina109.html) they may feel annoyed. But when electrosensitives listen to them, they will get the same complanits as with the original signals. But these sounds are pure audio, and there is no place for higher frequencies there, like 900 MHz or higher. So people can get hurt by listening to these modulations, which are pure sound frequencies, without any electrical field. This also goes for my audio CD's which contain Rife frequencies against electrosensitivity. When people listen to them, via computer, stereo or Discman, there is no electrican field present, but they react to them. Don't forget, that the modulations of elektrosmog are not pure; they contain a lot of dirt frequencies. I found 30 kHz and 100 kHz in an UMTS (3G) signal, and I could find a radar signal throughits 30 kHz dirt. So, these new *intelligent* meters do work with certain mobile phone frequencies (or ISM868) but they contain also a lot of VLF. IMagine Shivan gets a telephone call: *Good morning Shivani, yesterday you had 5 lamps burning in your house. That is 2 over average. Your refrigerator needs to be replaced. We have sent you an offer.* That is bullshit. They don't even have enough personnel to make their bills correct and do the neccessary maintenance, let alone a staff who looks at all those figures. Hi Shivani,
I thought you mentioned earlier that we could contact the "center for disabilities" and that they would take care of this problem (electric companies changing meters) for you. Is that not working???? I was really counting on that to work. My meter is fine, but there have been huge write ups in the area papers on how great "smart meters" are, so I bet they are coming. :( My electric company has been great about listening to my needs so far, tho. I hope they continue. Hope this works out for you, Diane --- On Sun, 1/10/10, [hidden email] <[hidden email]> wrote: From: [hidden email] <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] Utility company has responded To: Date: Sunday, January 10, 2010, 5:50 PM We Energies has responded already to my letter and my MD's letter. I suppose your lawyer could advise you on filing for an injunction.
You might have to plan on expert witnesses, but it's not clear the power company would even show up to fight it? But they probably would. I do think you'd be better off moving the meter away from the house, but asking for that might hurt your legal position. If it's away from the house you could also get a filter and shield the microwaves. If it's over 40' away it could all work... add some copper flashing so there will be an RF ground too. The article in Prevention magazine might help your cause... Hi, Bill,
I wasn't sure if your answer to this post was for me or Shivani, but had a few questions to ask. Our electric company was great and did all I asked when I set up the services in our new (er, new to us) house. We got a new pole 40 to 50 feet from the house, new wire to the new pole, a new meter on the pole, a kill switchon the same pole, and the pole is located furthest from the bedrooms (about 80'), and the entrance is insulated from the house as a whole by the brick garage. The new entrance/breaker panel is located in the garage, [insteadof meter on the living room wall and entrance/breaker below it in the basement]. WOOHOO!! I still have some problems in that house, electrically, but we are (very) slowly but surely working on it. ;) It has been somewhat odd that, since moving the entrance and pole, my husband has problems there too, even tho he is not ES. He sparks almost everywhere he touches. It is as tho the electricity there has become very unstable. But the wiring is ancient and tacked together with a wing and a prayer! The last owners tried to do their own fixes. Scary wiring. It took the electrician from August! till the Holidays to get the entrance and pole work finished, due to other jobs/bad weather, and we quit then till the new year. We are now looking for a new electrician to run (probably) metal clad cable in the attic for all the upstairs lights and switches. (The old electrician was not up to the task, unfortunately. He liked to punch holes everywhere--even in rooms he was not working in! lol Not to mention the timeit took to complete the job.) Bill, I highly respect your input... I know you personally do not use metal shielded cable. Is there anything we should consider regarding using that in the attic? Pros/Cons? We are trying to "dumb down" our electrics, not necessarily high-tech it into the new millenium. We are not a family addicted to gadgets. I do have need to use a wired in phone and computer. Wehave the ability to set up the house without so much as an electric fridgein the kitchen. The washer and dryer in the garage/gas fridge/gas everything. My understanding is if you keep em frequencies out of your house, themetal-shielding is the way to go. However, what about the fiberglass batt insulation with the aluminum foil side--will there be a problem with that? (It will be on top of the cable.) And, with the ever increasing wireless gadgets, etc.... will the increase of those over time cause emfs to bleed into our house anyway? And (I am assuming) this will cause problems with the metal clad wiring? Dirty electrics on the electric lines will behelped, but frequencies in the air--electrosmog--will be increased with metal clad, correct? We have a mid-century ranch, which has fire-stops in the walls as well, so we are not totally sold on the metal-clad but having problems deciding. Any input here is welcomed. Thanks so much for your help. I truly appreciate it. Take care, Diane --- On Tue, 1/12/10, Bill Bruno <[hidden email]> wrote: > From: Bill Bruno <[hidden email]> > Subject: Re: [eSens] Utility company has responded > To: [hidden email] > Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 8:22 PM > I suppose your lawyer could advise > you on filing for an injunction. > You might have to plan on expert witnesses, but it's not > clear the > power company would even show up to fight it?
