This Group has discussed using Oolitic Limestone in the past to help protect from Microwave exposure. Some websites talk about using certain Gemstones or Rocks to protect against Electromagnetic Frequencies from electronic devices or Microwaves from wireless. I am no Gemologist and do not know a lot about supposed healing qualities of Gemstones but I have a Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamp which is supposed to be beneficial in creating negative ions in your environment to counteract the positive ions generated by the microwaves. But realistically speaking, in my situation I would probably need about 10 of them going at the same time to cover the living room. I don't think one would generate enough ions to make a difference. It seems there are many claims being made about the beneficial effect that gemstones can have on protecting people from Microwaves and EMF's, but not enough explanation for me to make informed decision on why and what to use. Some people claim that certain Gemstones are beneficial against EMF based on the idea that they generate negative ions, block or absorb EMF’s, protect your energy field or aura, clear, balance or neutralize EMF’s, absorb negative energy, generate an energy field, create a grounding effect, strengthen the aura, or what not. All this can get kinda dicey. Most every website I have read concerning use of Gemstones for EMF’s say to use Quartz crystals, such as Rose Quartz, Tormaline, Amythest, etc. claiming they have certain properties to absorb or block EMF. Malachite is said to be protective of EMF’s but apparently you would need a 3 pound block of it on one side of your computer and a 3 pound block of iron nickel meteorite on the other side to create an EMF neutralizing effect. But Quartz, diamonds, and some other gems are often used in electronics and technology as resonators and such. So when using gemstones for EMF, one website: http://hibiscusmooncrystalacademy.com/how-to-lower-your-emf-risks-with-crystal-healing/ recommends to NOT to use any kind of silicate crystals, such as quartz, lepidolite, etc because they easily slide into resonance with electronics and microwave radiation. Strange, because almost all other websites on the subject say to use quartz. The website that says NOT to use quartz says the best stones to use for EMF protection would be ferromagnetic (iron containing) stones like lodestone, magnetite, hematite, pyrite. And these stones coincidentally enough are also used by many cultures for grounding. But, Magnets are another dicey area for me. My cells have reverse spin which probably occurred from exposure to the huge magnets in the MRI machine, so I have become reactive to magnets now. Although sometimes I will wear magnetite beaded bracelets on each wrist for about half hour thinking that it will balance my magnetic poles. I also have some rose quartz bracelets and necklace, which many healing gem websites claim are supposed to protect from EMF and microwaves. I wear them occasionally and sometimes I feel that they are resonating undesirable frequencies back at me because I start to feel a pain in my wrists, which makes me think they need to be recharged or "cleared". I have no idea if they are doing me harm or good. Websites say that Amythest is supposed to be a dream stone to help insomnia, it can be used to put under your pillow to help with sleep and prevent insomnia from Microwaves. But if I had my choice between an Amythst rock and a Shielding Canoopy to help my insomnia, I would take the canopy because I know from my meter measurements that it will actually block the microwaves, whereas the the Amythest may be having a strengthening effect on my chakras or aura, but not much effect on neutralizing the microwaves from what the meter readings show. Anyway, I find that trying to use Healing Gemstones for EMF and Microwaves is kinda confusing. My question is, does anyone use Healing Gemstones to protect from EMF's or Microwaves? Does anyone have information on using them in this manner other than what is regurgitated on healing gem websites? Can any of this be scientifically verified or does it all come down to subjective interpretations on how each person reacts to them? Does anyone really know the actual mechanisms of how gemstones would block or protect from EMF's or are these websites just extrapolating? Any good websites? C. Hi:
I have a health condition the many writers call Chronic Polarity Reversal, others call it Negative Ion Deficiency Syndrome or Chronic Reversed Polarity. I also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities [ MCS ]In order to keep my Bodies Polarity stable and correct I need to supplement my bodies negative - ion production with an external source. I have used tourmaline in the past as a source of negative ions. My body would drain all the negative ions from the tourmaline in about 12 to 24 hours depending on what I was doing. I would then recharge the tourmaline using the - negative pole of a very strong magnet. After about 7 days of recharging I found the Tourmaline would refuse to take on a fresh negative (- ) Charge. This caused it to become useless as source for negative (-) ions for me. I later discovered that I could use Natural Bottles Water in place of Tourmaline as a source of negative (-) ions. I charge the bottled water using the negative poll of a strong magnet. The Bottled Water would retain the negative (-) charge for as long as about 30 days. If you would care to send me your personal contact phone no. I would be pleased to call you and discuss this program and related testing methods that is currently working for me. Occasionally you will see someone posting that they experience some symptom relief by using some kind of crystal/gemstone, but you will also see people who notice no difference or have adverse reactions. So like all things, it's all very individual. And I do see folks warn about these crystals "accumulating" negative energy, so it may be that they help at first and then start hurting. Unless you take steps to "cleanse" the crystals. But no, I don't have much experience with this, and most of my experience has fallen into the "adverse reaction" category. Marc |

Hi Mark: Yes it is as simple as placing the - negative side of a bar magnet next the side of a plastic or glass bottle of water for about 1 to 2 minutes. Would you be interested in learning more about Chronic Reversed Polarity and how magnetically treated bottles water helps to control it for me.

Sure, but perhaps you have posted about this before and I can just search the archives? In the meantime, I've got some magnets that Lizzie once recommended, and water is pretty easy to come by... :-) Thanks, Marc (and yes, I did just shorten the email tag from [ES Forum] to [ES]) |
Hi Mark: I am pleased to have your thoughts and expertise. I am currently working on a new and easier method to measure the changes in the Human Body Energy Levels and Polarity. I expect to have it finished and tested by some time late October. For Now Lets try step no. 1 and see how it goes for you. Are familiar with how to use a pendulum. I use a pendulum that is made from a small NEW metal paper clip that is attached to about 10 ins. of thread or dental floss. I use this type of pendulum to test the polarity and strength of the magnets as well as my personal body polarity.
You may want to Practice by using a small watch battery in place of the bottled water at the beginning. This is what the pendulum swing tells me: If the pendulum swing in a CCW rotation, this indicates the magnet or battery surface is - negative polarity. If the pendulum swing in a CW rotation, this indicates the magnet or battery surface is + polarity. The energy level in the water is measured by the diameter of the swing. The greater the swing the more energy there is in the water.
I use the same pendulum to measure the amount of negative energy that is added to the water in to bottle. I would suggest that you measure the energy levels of the water before and after you magnetize it. The energy Calculation formula is [ energy levels after magnetization ] = [ energy level before magnetization ] = [ energy added to the bottled water ]
If you are planning on tasting the water after it is magnetized I found that it is advisable to start with a small amount say 1 tsp every 12 to 24 hours. I was wondering you could share your private contact info such as your private email and phone no.
Please send me a note on how it goes for you to my private email: [hidden email] As Always: Howard.

Howard, I later discovered that I could use Natural Bottles Water in place of Tourmaline as a source of negative (-) ions. I charge the bottled water using the negative poll of a strong magnet. The Bottled Water would retain the negative (-) charge for as long as about 30 days. Interesting information about getting water to generate negative ions with a magnet. I will try it. But for negative ions I have been using an actual negative ion generator called the CHI Ionizer: http://www.chi.us/chionizer.htm I did not pay $120 for it. I came by it after a friend died. You wear it around your neck and breath in the negative ions. That would provide considerably more negative ions than you would get from drinking the water. I assume you are supposed to be drinking the negative ion water? Breathing or drinking negative ions - which is best? Or is there a difference? Have you ever tried ozonated water? It has a good effect on me if I don't over do it. Sep 05, 2013; 8:17am Re: Using Gemstones for EMF's Howard1 Hi: I was wondering just how I would go about cleansing gems or crystals such as tourmaline ???. I have had no success in recharging black tourmaline. As Always: Howard. This is only a sampling of the various ways other people on websites use to "clear" their crystals, http://www.infobarrel.com/Crystals_which_help_eliminate_Electromagnetic_Radiation HOW TO RECHARGE OR CLEANSE A CRYSTAL As mentioned before a crystal is a vessel which holds positive and negative energy …hence if a crystal needs recharging now and then. So that the negative energy can be expelled and the positive energy can replace the negative energy. The list below is ways one can recharge a crystal, but in the end it’s up to the owner of the crystal to decide which way works best for them. Sea Salt Most common and effective way to recharge/cleanse a crystal. Can be used with or without water. Please that not all crystals are suitable to be recharged /cleansed in water. Good tip to know which are and are not suitable is should the crystal end in “ite” they are not good for cleansing /recharging in water. Also be sure to use glass as a holding vessel for the salt, water and crystal. Place a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of water (use sea salt and mineral/spring water only as they are natural other forms will contain other metals and minerals) and leave the crystal in the sea salt water for 24 hours. If you are using no water than place the crystal in the sea salt also for 24 hours make sure if they crystal has points that it is facing down towards the earth so all the negative energy is dispelled back into “mother earth”. Moon Light This method is also very effective. The light from a full moon is very powerful when using it to cleanse/ recharging crystals. On the night of a full moon put the crystals in the light of the full moon and returning them into the house before noon the next day otherwise the noon sun will drain the crystal of its energies. When using this method crystals are cleansed/ recharged every two weeks as per a full/new moon. Sunlight Just as the moonlight is very powerful so is the sunlight in regards to cleansing/recharging your crystals, but should they be left out in the sunlight for too long it will cause the crystals to be drained of their energies. Once again not all crystals can be placed in the sunlight as they fade. Rose Quatrz, Smokey Quartz and other bright coloured crystals tend to fade in too much sunlight. Rule is to not leave the crystals out in the sunlight for more than 8 hours at a time Mother Earth Crystals come from the earth so this method is like giving them a break to recharge/cleanse. Bury your crystals in the earth and leave them there for 24 hours, just don’t forget to mark where you left your crystals otherwise they will be taking a long vacation. Solution for this is to fill a vessel with earth and place the crystals inside it this way no chance of losing the crystal. Running Water This method is great if you are in a rush and for crystals which can with stand water. Place the crystal under running water while thinking that all the negative energies are washed away with the water down the drain.. once you feel that the crystal is cleansed/recharged then all done. Smudging Incense , sage or even sweet grass can be used to smudge crystals. Just pass the crystals through a smudging stick or through the smoke from the incense and the crystal will be cleared of negative energy. Citrine This crystal never needs cleansing/recharging as it is a cleansing/recharging crystal. Hence it can be use to cleanse/recharge other crystals simply place your crystals in a vessel full of tumbled citrine stones for 24 hours and Citrine will do the rest. Candle Flame A candle flame can also be cleansed/recharged by tossing them through a candle flame. So as not to break or damage your crystals let them fall onto a pillow. This method releases negative energy quickly from your crystals. These are but a few ways of cleaning/recharging your crystals, and clearing them of negative energies so that they can be used to their full potential http://mountzion144.ning.com/forum/topics/how-to-care-for-your-crystals C. I am wondering - if water can be charged with negative electrons by exposure to negative side of a magnet, then couldn't, for instance, a metal cookie baking pan, be charged like this, then if you stand on it with bare feet (being careful not to be standing near any EMF fields), you would absorb the negative electrons (like the barefoot "earthing" practices)? I am getting a little worried about going barefoot outside (earthing) in order to get negative electrons, since Dave Stetzer says the soil in the US (but not Europe) is polluted with EMF due to the US practice of grounding electrical power transmission lines in the earth.
Ellen |
Hi:Ellen: This is a very good question.I believe that the comments of Dave Stetzer are quit different and unrelated to this discussion. I have had very little experience with the effects of magnetic fields originating in the Soil. I am not sure if there is a method of testing for them or not.
I would not be concerned about going bare foot any where that is physically safe for your feet. I understand that water is a bipolar element. This means that water can take on ether a positive + or negative - Charge. I have been able to add a negative charge to water using the - pole side of a bar magnet. I have also been able through actual testing to show that water has taken on a negative charge when exposed to the negative side of a bar magnet. I now use this negative charged water as a medicine to control my "Chronic Reversed Polarity" health condition with good success. I hope this helps. As Always: Howard |
