Unplugging Things

PickPinkFlowers
Do those of you who unplug or turn off the electricity
to your home at night live in quiet places?

I live in a small house in a densely populated, multi ethnic area.
I have had to put my bed in the living room because
the next door neighbors have six huge dogs who bark under my bedroom
windows 24/7. There are many people living in the small house,
and they all do manage to own loud trucks that roar in and out
all night.

So I have four sound machines, a couple of them near my bed.
But I also have ES. I wonder what methods of protection are
available that are affordable. Anything?

I don't know how much the sound machines bother me.
I know the landline bothers me terribly.
I cannot use a handset or a headset.

I am a senior who is housebound due to illness, by the way.
Point is: I am here all the time so improvements would be
worth it.

Try a speaker phone, you can bid for them on ebay if you know how, so you
can get a bargain however not all speaker phones have good quality mic or
speakers, BT do some good ones.

If you are not aware of the sound machines bothering you,
then perhaps they are not. One free thing to do is to make
sure that all electronics are placed as far away from you
as possible.

If it is cordless landline phone, you should try replacing
it with a corded phone (although that of course will still
cause symptoms for many) or a speakerphone.
