USB powered monitors

Has anyone with troubles using a normal monitor tried a USB powered monitor and found it any better?

I've only just noticed their availability. See these ones on Amazon:

I'm getting really tired of using my 17inch monitor with resolution turned right down AND still have significant symptoms a lot of the time.

I think someone on Facebook bought one of these and liked it, but I'm not sure.

I think there are tolerable NON-USB monitors, but it is a trial and error process.

For years I've been using a 26" SONY HDTV (768x1366 resolution) that was pretty good, although lately I've been trying to find something more modern.  Not sure if I'm having any success, though... I had a 27" Dell that got returned immediately, a 27" BENQ that seems like it might be okay, and a 28" Viewsonic that seems slightly worse than the BENQ.  Although some of this depends on the resolution they are run at.

All of the new monitors I'm trying have flicker free LED backlights, although so far they are all worse than the florescent-lit SONY HDTV I was using.  Although that might be a resolution thing, as these newer monitors have higher resolution.

In my experience, USB powered anything is bad news. That includes the USB mouses and keyboards. There's definitely stray voltage going on there and it's not just me. I used a converter for my old mouse (because all computers these days use USB instead of PS/2 ports) and not only did it still caused burning sensations, my mouse started to give off a strange burning plastic smell! If it can heat up a mouse, imagine what it is doing to you.

I find USB ball mouse fine, USB optical is a no no though.

Obviously a USB monitor is going to draw less power than one plugged into the wall and it's not like you're holding it in your hands.

I don't find *everything* USB powered to be bad, although certainly some of it is.  And oddly enough, I don't think PS/2 is completely dead either, as both my home and work computers have them, and they are not that old.  They are both business models, so maybe that's the reason.
