The Leak in Potential

Snoshoe
I found this very interesting page about the charges in our bodies,
and outside influences. Longer read, but worth it I think.

I've had a UVA bulb shining on and between me and the pc for quite some
time now, and find it makes a huge difference in comfort level. That's
beside the radiation screens and such.

A UVA bulb? Do you have a link, or a product/manufacturer name?

I don't know offhand what all links I'd originally read about UVA and
UVB, it's been quite a while now.

The UVA I have is 100w incandescant, It says on the box label: EXO
TERRA, Sun Glo Neodymium Daylight Lamp. You can find them in the
reptile sections of petstores.

I also have a UVB by Zoo Med, that is a 75W incandescant.
I find the A more beneficial by the pc to use on a regular basis.
The A for "treatment" for short periods, it will tend to keep you
awake when you should be winding down towards the end of the day. I
have tried in a ceiling fixture and had it on just as regular day
lighting, and liked that fine too, but by pc it made me uncomfortable.
(First few times I used it up close for like 5 min., it made me
uncomfortable as well, but I suspect it was "doing it's thing", like
the blue lighting in the article. UVB is the tanning one, but I doubt
tmuch is available through this, being it is meant for the "mental
and emotional wellbeing of your reptile pets", haha.

That is what I recall reading for information about them, googling
under their necessity for indoor pets.

I did read somewhere using an fir light between the pc and oneself
will transmute much of the energy frequencies to fir as well, and
that, that wavelength is the best to use for changing other
frequencies. I like sleeping with one over me at times, or over my
lower legs anyhow.

Thanks, I found various references to this light on the Internet,
for example:

http://exo-terra.com/EN/products/sun_glo_neodymium_i.html

I'm wondering if these are any different than the "full spectrum"
neodymium incandescent lights found in health food stores? It
seems that both use neodymium, but perhaps there is something
different that allows one to produce UVA and one not?

Note that Chromalux makes a wide range of "full spectrum"
incandescents, and they also sell a "pet light". I liked the
size and wattage of the pet light better than their regular
lights, so most of the lights in our house are currently
pet lights!! I called up the company to make sure
that these were the same technology as their normal bulbs,
and the person I spoke to said that they were.

Interesting... I suppose if there is ban on incandescent
lights, one could alway see if pet lights are still being
sold!

If incandescents are banned, what about LED lights? They are even more
energy efficient than CFLs.

Dr. Havas thinks LEDs are the way of the future.

Nobody has announced any plans to ban LED lights. Nor would they,
as they are more efficient than incandescents.

So far, very few LED lights have been shown to be more efficient
than compact florescents (in terms of lumens per watt). However,
LEDs are currently in the midst of rapid improvement, and certainly
they will be much more efficient in the future.

I think so too... but for now, they are simply too expensive and
too dim to rush out and replace all of the lights in your house.

Do LEDs basically have 0 rf associated with them?

Re: lighting

Stewart A.
Hi Paul,

Look through the archives of this group, from Feb.12 to Feb.18.

The summary version is, yes, LEDs are emission free.
But some of the newer designs with Brighter LEDs or "white colored LEDs"
or "LED drivers" may not.

The basic design of an LED does not need a transformer.
But some engineers seem to think they need one!
