Marc, what type mattress did you settle on?

The 10” gel infused memory foam mattress by Eclipse provides one of the coolest night’s sleep around. Highly breathable gel infused open cell memory foam improves heat transfer and dissipation within the mattress. The result is stunning: a constantly cool and dry sleeping surface that actively dissipates heat. Starting with a 7” layer of supportive high density base foam, a 2" layer of premium transitional foam is added to enhance and support the 1” top layer of gel infused open cell memory foam. And on top of that layer of gel foam is a deluxe fabric zippered cover. All these different materials work together to contour and conform to your body’s shape and movements, resulting in a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep. For extra peace of mind, Eclipse manufacturers all of their beds in the United States of the finest materials made in the United States and Canada to ensure the highest quality.

That's the mattress I think I would like but I don't know if it would work for me because I've become sensitized to synthetics. Such is life, huh!
Peacefulness,
Kay

Today is a good day for a good day!

Supposedly the Kemp SNS plug can filter up to 1 Ghz:

I own a Kemp QA plug, which is similar to the stuff from quantumproducts.com, but I think I'll try the SNS plug and see if I have the same bad reaction that I've had to every other capacitor-based shunt filter (as this one is certainly much more elaborate than a Stetzer or Greenwave filter).  Also to see what it does to the Stetzer meter readings.  :-)

I ended up with one of these:

Prior to this, I tried mattresses that were a lot more expensive/"natural", but had problems with back support, offgassing smells (chemical sensitivities), and excessive build-up of body heat.  However, I had no problems with this mattress, and it was cheap!

Also, if your bedroom is not on the ground floor, you may find turning off the breaker for the room below your bedroom to be helpful.  I know that the floor beneath my bed had a light fixture in the ceiling that seemed to be causing problems.

Or you can "deflect" the EMF away by putting a grounding sheet beneath the matress/bed.

Thanks! Yes, the main power breaker was turned off at the panel to try an eliminate the problem. Unfortunately my house is a victim of stray voltage coming from a source other than my own. Just imagine if someone thought they were doing something good by attaching themselves to the ground...

"Do you also turn off the electric circuit running under the floor of your bedroom (the room below)?  I do this, but I've also had to put a barrier under the bed/canopy of Aaronia Shield fabric to block the fields coming from the floor below.  Layers of over-lapped heavy duty aluminum foil will work just as well if they extend outward on all sides of the bed so that the canopy can make contact with the foil.  Some people run an alligator clip wire from the foil and plug into the ground of an electric outlet, I haven't found it necessary to do that."
