So Upset! Problem with new appliance.

 Hi Dark,
I forwarded your question (with all addresses & names removed) to an ES electrical engineer friend who also lives off-grid.  He knows this stuff as he used to be a manager for a well-known electronic company  Here's his reply: (by the way...EMI=electromagnetic interference)

Radio receivers ALL will generate EMI, as an intermediate frequency is used.  You can't have a radio receiver on something you are using regularly, and is powered much of the time.

I check out everything before I buy. No exception w/ my off grid heat stove. No electric required, so the company said, but then they redesigned the unit right before I placed the order.

Going into the second month and heat still not installed. First it was put on hold as the heater now requires AC and I only have DC low emf solar. Put on hold for some time while my installer found a work around to make it work $$$.

Then my installer informs me that I must pay so much for a basic thermostat. I had paid $30 for one to be sent when I ordered the heater stove. None was sent, but instead they sent their fancy pricy remote.  At first glance it looked great. TV remotes are of no problem to me. But feeling leery and not trusting it, I researched into and found the remote is one fat RF transmitter! It transmits to the heater and constantly tells it what to do.  I have told the installer I can not have it and would pay for the basic thermostat and I would call to return the horrid remote. This is all upsetting.

I am very worried now that the heater itself may have something that transmits, as well.  From the literature it looks like it's just the remote and the heater just receives. I have not initiated my move yet nor is the stove install done yet so now is the time to do something if it does.  I medically require heat and that is the reason I purchased the lousy unit to begin with, as I need it up even if the solar goes down or dead batteries and the like.

Thank you!  I figured as such.  I really hate that stove and it is only in the install process. They changed it to a "smart stove" after I did the research to buy it , but before the order was placed. It cost me more than a car!

I called the company today and I asked them what I can do. They told me where to look in the manual on how it can be "disabled" and pass that on to my installer.  I made it clear to the company tech that I can not have any transmissions.  I also referred that many have pacemakers and can't have that either. That way they will not see me as the "tin Hat lady". They guaranteed me that there would be no more transmissions after disabling and that there were no other chips in the stove.

Have to say as an ES I am still nervous w/ this thing. For sure I will be testing it with the Acousticom 2 and an AM radio. The heater is the most critical item in my home, even more so than food or water!

I do know the wireless on my computer is fine disabled, but again still nervous on this stove-don't trust a company that would make changes to an existing model so secretly.

If I had it to do over I would have ordered the Wilson LP heater from Home Depot, the only reason I did not, is that when I called Wilson last year they said it can not work in an RV.  The installer I have says it will work:(

I think it is a beautiful heater.  Description says that it has a variable speed blower.  Is this an automatic feature or manual?  If you have a choice, use only the manual control for blower speed and leave the auto function off. Automatic variable drives created much unwanted EMF.

Yes at first glance I thought it was beautiful too, as it was supposed to work w/ out electric.  Now that it turns out it's a "smart heater" it's the ugliest thing in the world.  I did not order the blower option. The problem here is it has things that transmit and now requires electricity over before it did not.

I have contacted the place of purchase and asked for a refund. "Does not meet my expectations"  and "I can not have for my heatlth". I am demanding they take it back and refund. I was not told upon ordering that the unit had been changed from LP only to electric. They are putting me off.  I do not have the health to go to trial, but I am going to get nasty as this was the price of a car.  I lost the rest of my life saving last year trying to get into and RV that was destroyed and now this heater is debt. All on debt that has to be paid.  There is no more to buy a non electric heater till I get a rufund for this one. This is horrid as I am doing all this now as my landlord wants me to leave and is going to toos me out sick any day now. I am left w/ no option but to put the RV in storage until I can pay down some of the debt or get the $$ back from this turkey and afford a "safe" heater.

This heater has emf and runs the risk of transmission.  Something I am not going to risk having in my home nor should I have to. I know if cosmetics cause issues they have to refund even if the bottle is empty.  This heater is unused. In the end I am going to get a vented propane heater that does NOT run on electricity. By far the worst purchase i ever made.  I check every product before I buy. i even called Kingston to make sure the flash drive does not transmit. LOL

Did you read what Karen wrote?  Did you purchase this with a credit card?  If so, you can do a charge-back, and if asked for the reason, indicate that the item was not as described.
 
I'm trying to use credit cards less and pay with cash as the powerful bankers wish to turn us into a cashless society so that they can control our every monetary transaction.  However, in the case of mail order I like the credit card for the value of being able to do a charge-back dispute.

THIS IS NOT THE UNIT YOU ORDERED.  
period.  stick to that verbiage.  
that is all you need to say.  

you do not need to get into the emf issue. 
many will laugh you out the door on it.  
it is true, inarguably true, that the unit 
you received is NOT the unit you ordered. 

do you have a copy of the description of 
the unit you ordered?  
if so, that might be helpful. 
if you used a credit card, 
talk to the credit card company... 
they might be able to help.  ?  

but honey, listen... i am not very stupid.  
i am a healer and i know that if you keep 
up the kind of thinking that you are 
expressing over this, you are going to 
be VERY sick for a VERY long time.  

you need to let go of your anger, get 
in touch with your logical, rational mind, 
maybe even ask for help from your angels,

Fog Top:  I had a busy day!  I filed a dispute w/ the card. And I started to try to get something going w/ legal aid-a very long process as I do not reside in AZ yet, which is where the stove was purchased. In the meantime I of course will try to be charming as possible w/ the merchant to get refunded putting off my getting nasty till the card dispute is processed. And if being nice does not work...

The installer is going to bat for me and called the store too.

While everyone is doing all these "bills" they need one that will require notice of RF emissions of products, at time of purchase-fat chance as they have been trying to get GMO labeling for years

History, up to present day, is filled to the brim, with mass murder of people in the name of these deities. This is a support group for ES, not a place to push your philosophy or wares. I am not only offended, I find it quite despicable. If you were truly the healer, you claim to be, you would not be in this group nor have need or want of it.

Anger is good! It is our carnal nature, allowing us to survive and get off our asses and do something constructive, like take action and do what it takes, especially when it's not easy to do so.

Sometimes we need to vent and if there is one place where people should understand frustration about a "smart heater" or any other issues we face due to things EMF, it would be here.  People here get us, when the outside world has dismissed us, even labeled us as crazy for the mere mention of EMF dangers. At least I did not install the heater, with "wishful thinking" and expect I would be able to shield it or live with it. No. I questioned the safety of it, and am taking action to do something else.

Dark:  Anger is not always good especially when misdirected.  I am amazed at your anger towards Patricia's concern, kind words and her offer of help!  She knows what she is talking about when telling you that it is unhealthy to continue to live in anger and negativity.  She has also shared her story of EMF sickness and the ways that she has found healing which have helped me and others in this group.  Her love for others is evident in her posts and I for one do not want her censored.  Some of us in this group understand that we are body and spirit and that there is a world around us that we cannot see.  Please don't censor us and don't take offence when what is said is only meant for the benefit of others.

i am not a religious person.  
but there is far more in the world than you

i'm sorry.  i used to be a very angry person too.  
i've really had to do a lot of work on myself to 
get out of that mode.

It is a typical feature of electrosensitive persons, that they are a bit angry and frustrated.

Especially when they are confronted with persons who do not understand, or do not want to understand.

Anger and frustration are not good for the immune system, and are even damaging the immune system.

Therefore to my 30 Points plan I had added; the Diospyros Kaki Creveld (disappearance of uncoped traumas) and Reiki.

Seems like no one here has gotten the point of what I was trying to say regarding anger. People are mentioning a lot of "new age" stuff here that I would not waste my time on. I am not saying this of course w/ out having done the research as to it's worthiness. I have fully researched and not worth a second more on my clock. Added to having been there, done that and moved beyond it. I am at the far end of secular and I am starting to wonder if I am using the wrong title for myself when I say I am electrosensitive. I was not aware that electrosensitive referred to a new age cult.  I had taken it to mean allergic to certain types or all electric fields.  Again any of the rest I find stupid and time wasting.

A very respected scientist Richard Dawkins has a book out "The God Delusion". It would benefit you all to read that. It would save you from wasting any more valuable time.

I am bothered by RF radiation and the like and my reason for being here.
