Anyone know a good shampoo & soap for MCS? Thanks, Kathy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
I recommend: none. I stopped using soap and shampoo about two years ago, and I don't feel like I need it. Except I use soap to wash my hands. Probably nobody actually needs it - it's just a marketing scam. Here's the article that inspired me to quit using soap:

Let me say that when I'm not in areas of wifi/cell phones/ect...dirty electrcity from commercial buildings, my HAIR does NOT get dirty! (of course I do eat clean and filter my water and don't use any hair spray- Hair spray will attract electro magnetic particles) But for those looking for a non toxic in expensive shampoo/soap, I have found one that works very well. Wisdom Natural Brand, Cream of Coco, you can get it from amazon. Might be some health food stores that carry this. Karen's Naturals. Only a few ingredients.
2nd best I've used is California Baby Sensitive. Or farmer's market goat soap... I use Tijera Naturals unscented shampoo and sometimes earthscience unscented shampoo. I prefer Tijeras. You can find it at luckyvitamin.com
For soap I use tom's unscented sensitive soap and another brand I can't remember right now but it's on iherb.com as well. If you or anyone else uses iherb.com you can use my code, TEV814, and get $5 off your first order. Marc & everyone,
Thanks for all the recommendations. I bought the Dr. Bronner's bar soap & am trying Dessert Essence no scent shampoo for now. I'll keep a list of shampoos to try if this doesn't work out. My son & I had itching to Giovanii shampoos. Earthscience does have a little odor but I think they changed the formula and the new bottle I have is OK. I only use it once a week or two. I use the Tijera every day. Desert Essence is another one I use on a rotating basis.

Here is another link on this subject.
I have heard of this for years but never tried it myself. I have used vinegar as a rinse years ago tho. http://simplereduce.wordpress.com/2007/05/02/unshampoo/ Aimee --- On Mon, 9/17/12, torch369 <[hidden email]> wrote: From: torch369 <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] Re: Shampoo To: [hidden email] Date: Monday, September 17, 2012, 8:38 AM Earthscience does have a little odor but I think they changed the formula and the new bottle I have is OK.
