Hi.
As i can't tolerate lcd or led displays I wonder if there are som screen filters that can be attached to a display which absorbs the bad radiation? Thanks |
Hello
When I am working in-front of LCD/LED screens I feel eye pain and heat sensation on the face. I found out that putting a RF Blocking film on the screen helps. I created this product - http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-protection/LED-LCD-screen-protection-film In addition I found out that if the Brithness (in some screens it is the "Back display") is set to lower than 100%, the ELF magnetic fields emitted from the screen is increased. There for I set the brightness to 100% (should be done using a ELF meter attached to the screen) and verify that the ELF magnetic field is reduced. Please see - https://youtu.be/57VDY1mtWU0 I hope this info helps. On Sun, Sep 10, 2017 at 6:03 PM, sake [via ES] <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi.

Not all monitors are the same. I went through 7 monitors until I found the one I'm using now, which I can use without shielding, but I do have to turn down the backlight setting and also the PC resolution (as some of my problem is the noise coming from the PC video signal to the monitor, not the monitor itself). I've got a BenQ GW2870 28" LED flicker-free backlight monitor.

I'm also looking for the same because right now I have a monitor I like and actually want to go a size lower cause I underestimated how big a 24" inch monitor was in person (luckily they got one I can buy same model) BUT I have the same huge problem that I can only keep under control by lowering the brightness so much I can't see well nor play games with or less so by keeping the brightness I need but turning the monitor an ugly slight shade of yellow by lowering the blue light too much which absolutely kills me for some reason. It's ultra thin and the best option I got but I still need something to protect it because this is one ugly issue.
This is coming from someone who keeps their diet in check to keep the ES problem at least manageable and I haven't been home on it for extended hours as much since I been outside a lot more, the screens are some of biggest issues for me. They range from shoulder shrug ok like this safety wise to burning my face off bad. I have to even be careful with my phone say if I'm over at a family members place and I decide to kill less than half an hour on the tiny thing because it does the same thing. Even small screens can be very dangerous, what a world we live in where even the screens on our electronics kill us like this. An example of the worst screen experience for me though was a couple weeks ago at the mall. I decided to stop in the arcade and I played good old pinball for a while no problem for a good ten or so minutes. Then saw a game I was familiar with and wanted to play but noticed the screen had the blue light obviously jacked up for some reason but it wasn't broken in any way. Played anyways cause I wasn't gonna be on long, just killing some minutes before going elsewhere. Less than a minute in it felt like my face/brain was being slow cooked, I just left after the first level because I couldn't take it and I wasn't taking what that would have done any further. I don't know how people can use screens like that, do they just somehow not notice the damage it's doing or what? My mother is on her phone with that blueish unprotected screen all night long often and she never complains. I'm on playing a game on it casually for less than half an hour and my face feels sunburnish and my stomach starts acting up too which always comes with the blue light effect. |

There is also this screen shield... https://www.lessemf.com/computer.html#732 which
shields both electric field and radiowaves (wifi).

Which game mouse do you use sourdoe83?
You can innstall apps and or software to adjust the blue light.. On my new huawei it was preinstalled. Called "eye comfort" Maybe its included in the updated Android OS. Also interested in screen shielding for my laptop. |
I don't game on my computer, using linux but I have a ps4 so my mouse is just some old Microsoft USB one. On my phone I installed a filter and it helps a lot for short term use. I ordered one of the screen radiation filters from the first link and when I get it which will probably be a while I report back on what one does for me.

Also check to make sure you don't have a WiFi router on your desk. Those routers can really zap the energy out of you quick.

I had a wifi router in my room when I first moved into my newer place for less than a week, now that was a nightmare. My body was disturbed on all fronts, I couldn't even sleep. Wifi should be illegal, probably some of the most dangerous wireless radiation we commonly get exposed to.
Oh and I just have to edit in about an ad for internet service I saw on TV lately. Forgot what the carrier was but it was just rubbing in our faces how dangerous wifi is. When they brought up the wifi extenders as if a router isn't bad enough they described it as "able to blast a signal to cover the entire household so you have the strongest coverage for your whole family!" in this mocking cheerful marketing tone while the kid in the commercial is running around at light speed like he just chugged an energy drink. I am not joking, if we lived in a more sane world it would have been labeled a parody and shown on some comedy show. |
