Even taking pictures can create damage to wildlife. For instance poachers in African Safari parcs can check geolocations of tourists photos/selfies, to later hunt down the animals.
Also, in India, the very endangered great Indian bustard wont mate if there are people/tourists around taking pics, so photos are banned on this particular location during breeding season. Many animals feel stressed being stared at/photographed. (Imagine if tourists would come to your backyards and taking photos of you).
And photos of chimps can have a harmful effect as they are so "cute" and this triggers a higher demand for baby chimp pets and illegal trafficking and killing their parents to catch them.
