Re: [eSens] book

calmriver1@juno.com
Hi,

When I first developed E.I/E.S, I began writing a book and requested participation to tell our stories.  Nearly every day I have been meeting more people who have this illness. It is scary.  I have been talking my head off because people are so unaware of the dangers. We can feel it, but it is affecting everyone. People seem to really listen.  I am sending out the first couple of paragraphs of my stories.  The first one is the overall living with E.I. The second one is my personal journey dealing with requesting accommodation and continually being blasted with cleaning solutions, cologne to losing my job, leaving my house, through the death of someone significant in my life and my journey to find a safe place, the experiences along the way, some of the people I have met, and the spiritual experiences I  have had while trying to recreate my life.  By the way, I am still in process.  So, I am requesting if you agreed or would like to participate to send me your experiences, how you cope, how you became ill, what are you having to go through living with this.  You can email me with your experiences or
lf you would like me to do a phone interview with you that would be fine too. My phone number is 760-487-1302

Here are my first two paragraphs.  Peace and Health to you all:

Not in my wildest imagination did I envision living with environmental illness, or being a part of a group of people known as the canaries. The illness has challenged my very being.  Environmental illness takes the forms of chemical sensitivity/electrical sensitivity and is a debilitating sickness that is often invisible, unheard of and un-believed.  It affects people from all walks of life and spans across continents.  People have acquired the illness from being in an environment that is toxic to their system; either being exposed to toxins in small amounts over a period of time, or after one large exposure.  The way in which people have developed their illness is as varied as the people and the symptoms they have.  The challenges and obstacles that people face in order to obtain life’s most basic necessities can be overwhelming. This book is to give the reader an overview of life with environmental illness as well as personal testimonies of peoples experiences who have this illness.  People with this illness are known as the canaries, in reference to the canaries that were used by miners because their systems were so sensitive they would be the first ones succumb to toxins in the environment.  We the people with environmental illness are the canaries and we are sharing our voices.

Personal story:    This has been one of the most difficult periods of my life. During the last six months I have had to use all my internal as well as external resources just to keep myself together.  It has been extremely challenging.  I am an optimist and have chosen to use this time for personal and spiritual growth and development. When you are faced with life's challenges, that is when you grow, and how you handle yourself is what defines you.  But, it has been extremely hard.  I always think that life prepares you for things to come, I feel like I am quite developed. I would like to just enjoy life and develop in a less drastic manner.   I have never had what one would consider a normal life.  Normal what is normal?  The older I get the less normal everything seems.  What has kept me together in life has been my faith in God, my family and friends.  It has been the only thing that I have been able to consistently count on.

[eSens] Yet another symptom

MJQ 7688

Hi Everyone

I've been experiencing another symptom recently and wondered if anyone does too.
Basically- my ears hurt. They only really hurt when I'm in front of a computer
and generally its only one ear. I would not classify it as a severe pain but its
noticeable. Its much like the sensation you get when you're in an aeroplane
thats taking off. I have had to really minimise my computer time but is there
anything I can take to help ease this? I'm especially concerned because I don't
want to experiencing problems with balance later on.

They "hurt" ?  I can't say that I've experienced that.  What I *have*
experienced is ringing in the ears, and also "congestion/clogged ears".
I actually think the latter may be due to some chronic infection, like
a sinus infection, that is made worse by exposure to EMF.

And I wish I had a good solution for sinus infections, but very little
seems to help... :-(

My ears also hurt a bit when close to some high freq. emf,

With me it also kinda depends, if I've just taken a shower, the following hour my ears are more sensitive to emf!

It could be a sinus infection like Marc suggests, don't know... Dr Jerry Tennant says a lot of problems and also sinus infections are due to thyroid disfunctioning...

I have been having a lymph problem and it feels like a inner ear problem.  I am not sure what is going on, it has bee happening for the last two weeks.  I take a whole arsenal of vitamins and everything else, and I am totally mineral deficient.  For the last two days I quit taking anything figuring I was going to detox, and they apparently aren't working anyway, now I have fever blisters.  Does this happen to you?

Hi,

I would like to share my story but right now I am short of time to write it. I would like to call you for a phone interview. Where are you located, so I will know if it will cost anything to call. Where is the (760) area code? I am in CA. I have  a very interesting story to share.

Thanks,

Cheryl

Ear pain, you bet. You may have to try different
computers till you find one that isn't so offensive.

Cheryl,

Actually, it would be better if I called you if you don't mind.  I am staying in the back house and my phone is in the front and it doesn't have a ringer so it doesn't bother anyone.  What is your number and when is a good time to call?

I have no idea what a fever blister is but I can report that I have no blisters
at all.

I have an enlarged lymph node in the right side of my neck which is the ear that
hurts the most so I am guessing that its related. The entire right side of my
neck often hurts but my doctor seems to think I might have TB. I wanted to shake
him at that suggestion as I have no other symptoms for TB and I was vaccinated
against that years ago. My doc frustrates me as he is reluctant to accept that I
could have a condition that has he has never seen or heard of before. I've had
the enlarged node for a couple of months and hes monitoring it. Its not getting
any bigger and in fact at certain times it feels slightly smaller. I want to get
a scan of my neck but I'm very scared about absorbing that level of radiation
into my body which I'm sure whill just make me more sick, but the alternative
isn't appealing either.

Regarding suppliments I started taking Immunace tablets during the summer. I
have no idea if they are working but I like to think they are doing something
positive. I actively try to be outdoors as much as possible too because that
helps. I went camping for a week over the summer and I felt fantastic.

Hi Marc

Yes, I think "clogged" is a better description for what I feel. I was secretly
relying on you for assistance as you seem to have suggestions for every symptom
:-)

They "hurt" ? I can't say that I've experienced that. What I *have*
experienced is ringing in the ears, and also "congestion/clogged ears".
I actually think the latter may be due to some chronic infection, like
a sinus infection, that is made worse by exposure to EMF.

And I wish I had a good solution for sinus infections, but very little
seems to help... :-(

Am going to look into the sinus thing. I had an infected sinus in my ear removed
3 years ago in my pre ES days so maybe there is a connection.
