Emil asked: Very interesting. Besides your symptoms, were you able to make any measurements of this phenomena? Sorry to be so tardy in responding, Emil. A friend with a portable oscilloscope with probes helped me map the current flow across our yard and through that area. It was most interesting. You put probe A in the ground and then take a series of readings as you move probe B in a large circle (the length of the cord) around probe A. Then you move to an adjacent area and repeat the process. In this way you can map a yard in not too long. The oscilloscope shows you the frequencies present. It turned out that some places where I had been sitting on the ground were really bad places to have been sitting. Of course you would not get excactly the same readings from day to day or even hour to hour, as the loads on your local electrical service lines vary, and the conductivity of the ground changes as moisture content changes. Still, the pathways probably remain fairly constant. We also found a regularly-timed transient coming through every 1 1/2 seconds, a discharge from the strobe light on a radio tower about a mile from us. I gave the tower company a lot of grief, calling them again and again, until they put a filter on that. (Before they filtered it, I got a bzzz in my legs in time with the light - inside our house!) Shivani Arjuna www.LifeEnergies.www from PUK - Dear Shivani, what can I do about a house over the road (say 50m away) where the occupants use a large Plasma TV which the instant it is switched on both my phone line and incoming electrics register a aggressive FAX type tone, (picked up by AM radio @ 1600khz) after 20mins I have to leave the house, toruble is that it starts at 3pm and finishes at 9pm as they retire to bed early. I had the Elec company come round to measure EMF, but as you know this was futile but at least the man bore witness to the frequency on the line. It seems that Ham radio operators are also very pead off with plasma tvs as they can jam their most favoured frequencies. Any ideas appreciated - FCC probably useless and also british Offcom... When I go around with my Sony World radio , on AM, I pick up many different
signals. I even checked them this morning with my Spectran NF coupled with a simple wire antenna, and found sevearl heavy spikes. So, those are the frequencies floating in the air, in space. When you are having trouble with them in the mains electricity, there are larger filters available. See: http://www.bajog.com They have large filters for placing inside your fusebox closet where the mains enters the house. In this particular case, I agree that this would be a good thing to look at. Also, perhaps you could buy your neighbor a bi-directional filtering power strip, and have them plug their TV into that? Last resort? Buy them an LCD TV, and hope they like it more than their plasma... :-) Marc |

Is greatly concerned at the Bio-Initiative international report_(8)_ (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?pubRef=-//EP//TEXT+TA+P6-TA-2008-0 410+0+DOC+XML+V0//EN#def_1_8) concerning electromagnetic fields, which summarises over 1500 studies on that topic and which points in its conclusions to the health risks posed by emissions from mobile-telephony devices such as mobile telephones, UMTS, Wifi, Wimax and Bluetooth, and also DECT landline telephones; 22. Notes that the limits on exposure to electromagnetic fields which have been set for the general public are obsolete, since they have not been adjusted in the wake of Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC of 12 July 1999 on the limitation of exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fields (0Hz to 30 GHz)_(9)_ (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?pubRef=-//EP//TEXT+TA+P6-TA-2008-0410+0+DOC+XML+V0//EN#def_1_9) , obviously take no account of developments in information and communication technologies, of the recommendations issued by the European Environment Agency or of the stricter emission standards adopted, for example, by Belgium, Italy and Austria, and do not address the issue of vulnerable groups, such as pregnant women, newborn babies and children; 23. Calls, consequently, upon the Council to amend its Recommendation 1999/519/EC in order to take into account the Member States' best practices and thus to set stricter exposure limits for all equipment which emits electromagnetic waves in the frequencies between 0.1 MHz and 300 GHz; [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
