Hello If I was you I would connect the heater to the electricity (just for testing) and us an EMF meter to see it it radiate. This week I found out that an Air Condition system had a WIFI feature that consistently transmit. Please see - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhp-QviPguM I hope this helps amirb Info sites: www.norad4u.com , www.norad4u.co.il eStore sites: www.4EHSByEHS.com , www.4EHSByEHS.co.il Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/no.rad.585 YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NoRadBlog English blog: http://norad4u.blogspot.com/ Hebrew blog: http://blog.tapuz.co.il/NoRad Minimize the use of cellphone and wireless devices before the use minimizes you! anything mechanical or electrical that moves,
makes noise, makes heat, makes light...
is emitting emf radiation. it's just the way it works. fans, lamps, heaters and coolers, stoves, refrigerators, vehicles, batteries, electrical outlets, stereos, computers... you name it. best to avoid as much as you can and also to clean your body so it doesn't react so intensely to the provocation. modern civilization is a trap for everyone... and i do believe it is designed that way. they could have chosen a different frequency for cell phones and wifi, other than the same frequency that's used in a microwave oven. y'know? there IS a plan afoot... and has been for a very long time. patricia On Sep 10, 2015, at 2:15 AM, NoRadiationForYou [via ES] wrote:

We discussed hooking up just to test. The whole issue is: When I called about the heater before purchase, it was not electrical-no electric needed only LP and by the time I got the heater they had redesigned to it to be a "smart stove" requiring electric and changed the remote and transmitter.
I spoke to the installer and he is holding till I travel there next week and test it w/ my RF meter-the only thing is he can shut his wifi, but there is a giant transmitter outside the trailer and heavy wifi from the neighbors' houses, so the Acousticom will probably go crazy even if the stove does not transmit. I called the dealer of the stove and told him I needed to return, as it runs on electric and too many emfs. I was told they would get back to me. I have had nothing but problems w/ them so far, loosing the stove in their warehouse and not shipping it out and sending the wrong pipes and not getting the thermostat ordered that cost $39. They claim they shipped and will not refund. So this is a long shot, but the best one. The installer has a heater-the first brand I looked at that is truly no electric-did not buy then as the company of the heater said it would not work in RV, but the installer has done them in RV before. I think they should refund me as I did not get what I was originally told I was getting. So hold good thoughts. I also asked the installer if maybe it could sell on craigslist as it's brand new. So we'll see. Yes heat is the most important thing and that's why I wanted non-electric. None of the electric heaters I have had have had RF transmitters. I am sorry No Rad that your AC did. |
i would return it based on the fact that -
because they changed it -
it is no longer what you ordered. i don't think you need to get too fancy. you ordered something different. you could ask them if they have one of the older models available, since you would be happy with the unit you ordered. lean on that 'not what i ordered' issue - because that is what is inarguably true. unfortunate if you can't find another that is that 'pretty', but your health is more important than your sense of aesthetics... saying this as an artist myself. :) love, patricia On Sep 10, 2015, at 3:57 PM, JDark [via ES] wrote: We discussed hooking up just to test. I have an extremely high sense of aesthetics! That said I think the Hampton H27 is downright "UGLY". As are all "smart" items. I only purchased it for the no electric reason. They did not send me the simple thermostat that i paid 39$ for and they are not willing to refund that. I have asked them to refund the stove and arrange to have me send back at my cost for the $$$ freight. They so far are not cooperating.
I will loose a lot if I have to let it go on CL-thousnads of $$. At the time it was the only thing out there. Now not the case, but also now this model has changed. I have found another that I want, but in heavy debt to pay for this one and can not afford anything else. The one I want is more the box kind that they have in hotels and will take less space to boot and put out more BTU and NO emfs or electricity involved, now that's beautiful. I am going to now have to store my trailer at a storage lot till I can save up the money out of my disability to buy this other one. Hard, as i need to be out of where I am now. Best I go no further w/ this Turkey [the hr 27 fireplace] and do the right thing. How often on here or other groups have we seen ES folks go ahead w/ something like this, because it's hard to back out and end up worse off. I know one that bought a house and instead of backing out at the last moment thought she could live w/ it and shield it. OOps BAD MOVE. Tried to talk her out of it. She's homeless now. As i must have heavy heat to survive I best not move till I have a decent heater that I know is safe and not just one that I hope I can micky mouse into being safe. The artist is there in me and so is the logic nerd. I know in the end I will be happy I backed out of installing. And as luck would have it, rain would not stop in the dryest area of the US for past weeks, so it meant that the installer could not cut the hole in the roof for the vent pipe that goes w/ this fireplace. I say better safe than sorry and that hotel type heater is beautiful to me. |
PS it saddens me so that I am stuck in a place that is slowly making me worse or maybe w/ out a place at all, due to this crappy company's ethics of sneak changing it to a smart stove. Also the $$ loss has real impact on my life. We all deserve a safe place and no one has worked harder than I for that. Now to not be able to go through because I do not have refund for a dangerous product that is not safe for anyone.

I'm interested in the model of the one you are going to buy.
I'm trying to get a small RV ready for when I can bug out of here (might be years from now). Did you put the purchase on a credit card? You can dispute the charges. You can find organizations or news outlets that will help pressure to company to give you a full return. Channel 6, KOIN, in Portland Oregon has helped people with some problems like this. Call the Better Business Bureau. People are now selling used items (and yours is not even used) for close to full price. > On 9/10/2015 11:34:59 PM, JDark [via ES] ([hidden email]) wrote: > > PS it saddens me so that I am stuck in a place that is slowly making me worse > or maybe w/ out a place at all, due to this crappy company's ethics of sneak > changing it to a smart stove. just send it back.
they do not have to cooperate. just notify them that you are awaiting your full refund. :) take your power back, girl. :) On Sep 11, 2015, at 1:31 AM, JDark [via ES] wrote: I have an extremely high sense of aesthetics! I had the installer call also. No luck. I contacted AZ legal aid as the store is in AZ, they will not help since I reside in NM. NM does not do any consumer cases, but they did book me for a phone intake to maybe refer me to AZ and this may work. I was told in the meantime to dispute as all have said here. I spent 3 hrs yesterday to try to set up dispute and got passed around, but now that I know it's the right thing to do I spent 2 more hours today and got it done.
I am still going to try to work w/ the store one on one nicely regardless, as my appt is not til Mon and the dispute will not reach them till the end of the week. Heater "does NOT meet expectations" is main reason from both me and installer for return, health is listed as secondary. I will not return the heater as I will have to run up several more hundred $$ on my charge, as I do not have the funds, until I am either instructed by the bank or the stove dealer, as I can not loose any more money. I also called a place near the installer that can store the trailer for $33 plus tax/mo. and then the $60 to tow it there, so I can do that till I can either save for another heater or get this resolved by the store or legal means. Of course that does not help me with needing to be out of here end of Oct. Trying to get more time like maybe til Feb or March, but no luck there yet. Hopefully I can just walk on egg shells as the months go by and they will get lazy again and forget to serve me the notice-risky, but this is how I have stayed here since June. I was told last month that they would not serve me notice to leave then and so I had til end of Oct. Being a good tenant and always paying on time pays off! |

Karen:
It depends on what you need for heat. I have severe cold sensitivity and severe reynaud's. I need a lot more heat w/ a plan B bk up heat, than most do. I am going to get the Williams 30K btu LP heater when I get this "stinky" stove thing resolved. If you can get by w/ less there is the Escabe or Empire coming in at around 13K BTU. If the RV is small enough it could be enough. Then there is the Dickinson marine heater, but we are only talking 5K BTU after losses for the large unit. I would say the Escabe better for RV if you are moving around a lot. All these heaters are direct vented. They intake air and release it from the outside. This prevents problems w/ COs and oxygen loss. Hope this helps. Also the agency that referred me to legal aid, gave me a referral to one of the AZ news outlets and I will do that if the other options do not work. I have it on CL listed at about 20% less than what I paid for it, but other like stoves are on there at about 1/2 that and are not moving [judging by the post dates]. I am going to leave it that way, as there is a one in a million chance that someone is looking for that exact unit and might bite at it. Worth putting it out there-I have seen stranger things. |
