Yes, there are all-plastic glasses available. I think the comp;any I got
mine fromis the only one that makes them. I got them from a shop called
"Faces" in Appleton, WI. I don't recall the brand name of the glasses,
but Faces would know. -It's printed on the bow, but I can't see it with my
glasses off.
:-) Somewhere on my website, I have mentioned it, too.

I use a wired speaker phone. Before I got the plastic glasses, sitting
near the phone to use it caused symptoms unless I removed my metal-framed
glasses. I don't wear earrings now, either, for the same reason.

Curious to know if with glasses on you felt sensations in any
particular place, or what the symptoms were like.

Hope it's okay to jump in here; I've been nearsighted most or all of my life.  More than several years ago I got my first pair of eyeglasses.  Wow! It sure was nice to see things in the distance more clearly.

They were very stylish, slim, metal framed ones.

Over time I noticed that I simply felt "better" with them off.  Often when I wore them, the middle of my forehead "tingled".  It's not quite the right word, "tingle"; it's a mix of tingling, itching, and pseudo-spasming without moving.  Ha! Sorry, it's difficult to describe.  It's the area around where the "third eye" is.

Funnily, I can make this spot "activate" by thinking about it.  But the difference between when I wore those glasses and not is distinct.  Especially at the time I had them on when I was working in a store and we had crappy lighting and a cordless phone.

I once ordered glasses online, with the only metal being in the hinge screws (definitely).  Unfortunately with something like glasses, unless you have a very forgiving face, it's a crap shoot to find ones that definitely look good on you without trying 'em on in person.

On the upside, they were cheap! Retail stores must have a 10X markup on eyewear, because the lenses were of equal or damn near to it quality of those of glasses selling for over a hundred dollars; though these were not much more than $10.00!

Sorry for the deviation from the topic.  I wish I could get contacts intomy eyes, but they don't like when I try!

Thanks! I scanned over that website the other day (I did a "search" of thegroup archives and came across an old message of yours with this link) - and I couldn't really tell which of the frames sold on that site were all-plastic. Maybe I should search the site more carefully, or email the companyor something.

It would be *great* if I could get my hands on some all-plastic frames.
