That people are being driven from their homes, lives and very bodies and minds is a sad reflection of a society in decline for the sake of the vested interests of a few.  

The metallic taste in the mouth: any ideas about what to attribute it to?  (mercury off gassing from faux silver fillings comes to mind but is there something else that could be going on?)

I always assumed that the "metallic taste" was from heavy metal mobilization.  I used to get that a lot when I had mercury fillings and also when doing a heavy metal detox.  However, I don't think I've experienced that in years.

Thanks for that input... helps me understand why I'm still experiencing the symptom after amalgam removal (much to detox still).  

I found that a quick way to eliminate a metallic taste in my mouth was to chew on a couple of activated charcoal tablets (charcoal binds with all sorts of bad stuff)

I have mercury fillings and they've been in my teeth for more years than I want to share! ( :

I do get that "metallic" sensation at times and it seems to be I notice it more after I drink water. This started in very recent years so I'm guessing it's not the mercury fillings.

I am EMF sensitive and for a while I had very miserable days without end but beginning last year some time, I think it was, I started having some fairly goods days without much sensitivity to EMFs.

I started keeping a daily journal of my reactions to the atmosphere and realized I could possibly attribute what was happening to me in part to weather. Anyway, that's how it seemed to me. Mostly when it's going to rain or is raining and some time after rain is when I have the most reactions, including the "metallic" feeling in my mouth.

After reading a great deal about geoengineering I've come to the conclusion, at least for myself, that the Aluminum, Barium and Strontium that is being dispersed into the atmosphere from airliners (which ends up in our water and everything else) is probably what is affecting me adversely, contributing to the "metallic" sensation and exacerbating my EMS.

I've made my last purchases beginning last year, which were ferrite chokes for my keyboard and mouse, Stetzer filters, other devices, products and books from Earthing, other books on the subject and I'm done spending money because nothing I've read about or purchased has helped me. We're all different that's for sure and what works for some may not work for someone else.

My ramblings probably haven't helped answer your question about the metallic sensation. Maybe you want to keep track of when it happens to you and go from there. Also, this forum is a great place to gather information and meet wonderful people!

Hello, Kay :) That was not an unhelpful ramble at all: there are so many aspects to consider and every fitting piece of the puzzle sheds helpful light.  Thanks for your thoughts.  While I'm new to post, I've already long benefited from each post read in this forum and am thankful for every person here: their appreciation for the growing problem of unnatural EMFs, sensitivity to the struggles that result, and a willingness/ability to share.

In my case, the metallic sensation seems to kick up a bit while I'm chelating (or at least attempting to) the metals out; but now that you mention them, I'm curious to see if there is also a relationship to the atmospheric metals near weather events.  

Your point about the financial barriers to self-care with this issue are highly relatable to many.  I personally have not invested much because I don't feel capable enough to evaluate each possible "solution," and resources are too tight for mistakes or dead ends.  In a way, those with more resources may just have more drained in an endless search for something that works for them.

The socioeconomic aspect raises an important concern that necessitates government intervention to an environmental problem that all should be protected from equally, regardless of status.  As it stands now, the problem is a lucrative wealth extractor for a few, at the expense of the less fortunate and more vulnerable.

In a way, modern civilization really amounts to a more sophisticated, covert form of barbarianism (e.g. poisoning for profit; or profiting while poisoning).  All the more reason to take comfort in knowing there are still more than enough people (the kind that come to this forum) near enough to weigh against those forces of dangerous self-interest.
