Does anyone think/know if aspartame makes es symptoms worse? It wasn't till tonight I realized the Pepsi I drank yesterday was a diet one. I just thought Pepsi had come out with a new label, although when I tasted it, I remarked how their new formula tastes horrible. Yes, I guess I'm that naive! But all last night I felt horrible. My whole body was shaking, but esp. my legs. I felt I could barely stand up on them and actually went to bed hours earlier because I felt so bad. Since aspartame is a poison, or, to the best of my knowledge,
metabolizes into some rather nasty chemicals, I wouldn't be surprised! R. --- In [hidden email], javamdnss@... wrote: > > > Does anyone think/know if aspartame makes es symptoms worse? Are you Fu.....king crazy?
You'll have to excuse me but I have been on a weird planet for a while and am just coming back to Earth and I still can't believe people are still drinking this sht called Pepsi and Coke. Forgive me for I am still crazy and not normal at all. Please research the ingredients in soft drinks as well as the water (which contains high levels of pesticides) used in these population reduction beverages. I expect Mark to bust my chops because of my language and that is fine. It is better to be busted by the curse police than to drink from a well of poison. Also, soft drinks are very acidic, which would probably make your ES symptoms worse all by itself. Better to be drinking freshly juiced, organic carrot juice... or spring water... Marc |

Yes, I know they are not good for one at all. Maybe I should have clarified
that I do mostly drink water and tea, and have one pepsi less than once a month so that doesn't bother me that I have them that rarely. It was only while I was in a hurry in the drugstore and saw one and grabbed the diet one. But thank you! Hi, Amy,
Not to mention clogging your lymphatic system and making fibromyalgia symptoms horribly worse! Sweetie, if you need to have a soda fix to break yourself of the habit (or once in awhile otherwise--like a big party, etc), get aclub soda and put a fruit flavored tea bag in it an let it steep for 5 mins. Celestial Teas makes a pear-white tea blend that tastes just like old fashioned cream soda. Very Berry (I think that is the name) tastes just like cherry soda. Mardarin orange like orange soda.... They are quite good subs; you will be surprised! If you still miss sweet, add some Sweet-leaf Liquid Stevia to it--usually 5 to 7 drops will do. Otherwise, you will never get past the fibro symptoms. We have been kind of hard on you; but we want you to be to feel better and you can't do it adding Pepsi or Coke to your diet. ;) Take care, dear, Diane |

Thanks Diane, and...it doesn't bother me. I can take constructive criticism.
Thank you for the advice on the tea-it actually does sound very good. We drink the Celestial Seasonings too but I hadn't heard of that flavor. I have found that sparkling waters/club soda, etc... make me in just as much pain than soda, so I guess it's the carbonation. Like I said, I only have about one soda a month so it's not like I drink it every day. Usually I stick with hot tea . Hi, Amy,
Glad to here it, dear. I am not good with carbonation either. I used to drink the "junk" drinks, too, and I had a hard time breaking the "habit", which is why I offered you the alternative tea drink. After years awayfrom the stuff, I took a sip of my son's Coke a couple years ago and was amazed at how awful it tasted! lol I couldn't imagine I once liked it! Now even he does not drink it. My entire extended family were hookedon it at one time and now I don't think any of them drink sodas. I guess that was why Coke and Pepsi had to get into the flavored water business!
