Question about phones

I bought a phone with a double speaker system....sorry I don't know the
correct terminology. It was very expensive-almost $300, but I was told
by the salesman
(I bought from a web site after calling their 800 number to get info) that
the quality was so good that nobody could tell that I was on a speaker
phone. When I began using it, verybody who knows what my
voice sounds like asked me why I sounded "so funny," though.

In addition, I had so much trouble with the unit, which would
not cooperate with my caller id for some reason, that I
tried to return it. Turns out the company I bought it from would not
take responsibility because they had it drop shipped from the mfg, and the
mfg would not take responsibility.....and on and on. I happily gave it
to a blind minister for whom it is a blessing.
He can use his Braille writer and take notes while listening.

I don't know how you can be sure, in advance, about the real quality
of these expensive units. I won't take another chance on buying one
because I just can't afford another $$$ error. Josie

Try BT CONVERSE 320 see hoe I modified mine on picture section of this  
group. I can vouch for this being good quality, as long as you keep moderate
distance, to avoid emf from speaker. I recently purchased one from Ebay for £10.

I bought a speaker phone from lessemf.com and it works fine. I
recommend it. I think it was $50. Sandi
