Opinions about two products for laptop radiation protection

Hi,

I am using a laptop intensively and I was considering to buy a
product called Lap Shield which theoretically blocks the radiation.
It is like a little shield that you put underneath the laptop and
the waves won't go to your legs.

Another product I am considering to buy is a software that messes
with the electrowaves and stops the emission or something like that.
It is called Computer Clear and this is the web site:

I would appreciate if you told me your opinions about these products
and about all the radiation shielding products in general. I am new
and don't know if they are a scam or they really work

I have no experience with this product, but there are forms of
radiation which cannot be blocked so easily. I would not recommend
putting a laptop computer on your lap in any circumstance!

I tried this software years ago, and recall not liking it for
some reason or another (I think it caused me heart palpitations?),
But everyone is different -- perhaps it will work for you better
(and who knows, after so many years have passed, maybe it would
work for me better as well!). I currently use a piece of software
called "Quantum Byte", which I like better, and even has a
15-day free trial, so you can figure out if you like it
before buying it:

replying. As if nobody was interested in protection from the
computer.

This Quantum program is weird. I got it installed but it doesn't
explain anywhere how it works or how to use it or how to adjust it.
Looks terrible, I hope it helps at all, because the price (89$) is a
joke.

I think longterm subscribers have seen this sort of topic discussed
over and over, so they may not be as interested in participating in
the same discussion again.

Actually, I find the Quantum Products to be a bargain, considering
that they were the only thing that got me off of disability and
back to work again. The difference between being able to make
a living and not pays for those products rather quickly.

And yes, Quantum Products is not the best at explaining what their
products actually do. But the proof is in what you experience.
If you don't notice any difference within a day or two, then it
doesn't really matter what they do, as its not working for you.

Oh, as to how to use the Quantum Byte software, it's pretty simple.
It has an adjustable level between 1-20. I suspect the company
would suggest that you start at a lower level 1-5, and if that
does nothing for you, then keep increasing it until you notice
some benefit.

For the skeptic, put it at the maximum setting (20) to start with.
If you notice fewer symptoms while using the computer, then its
working for you. If you end up getting flu-like symptoms the
next day, then it is set to high for you (at least for now) --
lower the setting and find something that doesn't make you sick.
After awhile you may find that you can tolerate or need a higher
setting.

If you notice no difference, then its not helping you, and no
reason to purchase it.

I could easily tell a difference within a day of trying it.
I think they allow you a 2-week free trial, which should
be plenty of time to determine if it is doing anything for
you.

Note that the other Quantum Products items have about the
same effect as the Quantum Byte software, although some of
them are a lot stronger in that effect and have a much wider
range.

Well, to be fair, you did ask about 2 specific products -- a laptop
shield and a piece of software. It is possible that nobody here
has had any experience with these things (except for myself, which
had tried that software years ago).

There are MANY items offered on the market today for EMF
protection, and there's simply nobody here who has tried everything!
(I don't think I'd ever even seen that laptop shield before)

Those other people did gave their tips and trucs in the past.

However, everytime a newcomer comes along and asks the same questions all
over again, we feel, that the newcomers should read the archives.
Over the years, a lot of usefull information has been gathered there.

It is not that we do not want to help others, but it is sometimes tiresome
to get it all over again.
And a number of newcomers want to invent the wheel again.

Hi, CBN,

I didn't reply because Marc pretty much said it all. Do not use your laptop on your lap. I actually sit about three feet away most of the time. I can do this because I use a small tray to hold the laptop that is about 3 or 4 inches high and sit on a sofa cross-legged with arms outstretched to type. It is not at all uncomfortable (tho admittedly it will not work for a workplace environment.)

I personally do not use any other products. I instead worked at making the laptop less of a problem for me and that info is on recent archives.
