Need recommendation on doctor area for examination

jgd0
Hello,

Do you have recommendations on what doctor would be best qualified to
assess extreme sensitivity. In my case it seems to have been caused by
chronic exposure to WiFi and laptops.

I understand that most doctors are unfamiliar with the EMF
sensitivity. But I need this - because at work I'm required to pick a
specialist to assess the problem. I have been given the option to pick
from several specialist including internal medicine, toxicologist,
neurologist etc.
I guess the first step would be for the doc. to examine and assess
that this indeed is a medical condition.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks,
Prad

I would suggest a dentist.
There are dentists who work with electroacupuncture.
They can measure in your mouth.

I personally think that a toxicologist would be a good first step. Get
blood work and find out all you can about your system. I think that
vinyl chloride in plastics (computer casing, Saran Wrap, PVC pipe,
etc.), the hundreds of toxins in pesticides (malathion. parathion, DDT,
etc.), radiation from nuclear fallout, MSG and Aspartame food oriented
toxins, Heavy Metals (Mercury in our fillings, Lead in our house) and
on and on are all major factors in breaking down the immune system and
the myelinated nerve sheath, the Cholinesterase/Acetylcholine
(neurotransmitters) balance in our nerves, etc.
My advice is to get your colon cleansed first and rebuilt so when you
detox you don't reintroduce the crap back into your system through a
leaky gut. Once your digestive tract is robust, then do the liver
cleanse, kidney detox, etc, etc., etc. using the thousand products out
there to detox the various different systems and contaminants.
My 2 cents.

Hi, I would intuit towards the one to pick, especially if you are given a list of names, instead of picking one yourself..

vinyl chloride

Andrew McAfee

Friends,
In researching the various causes of my electrosensitivity, here is
something that you might find relevant.

I have been reading a book called Deceit and Denial: The Deadly
Politics of Industrial Pollution by Gerald Markowitz and David Rosner,
and they talk various products including lead (in paint, fuel as Ethyl,
etc.) and vinyl chloride (plastics) have been known for many years to
cause cancer and disease and still have been covered up by corporations
and our own government agencies.

Vinyl chloride (in plastics like Saran Wrap, PVC pipe, aerosol spray
propellant, plastic liquor bottles, meat wrappings, etc.) causes many
types of cancer (brain, lung, liver, etc. and fibrosis and connective
tissue degeneration) as well as a compromised immunity.

Here is a quote from the book.
"The synthetic compounds in use today, especially the chlorinated
hydrocarbons (of which vinyl is one of the most prevalent) pose a new
kind of danger. Although cancer is still of concern, these synthetic
chemicals may be causing new classes of disease and damage to the body
that are too subtle to even measure. Specific concerns have been raised
about the possibility of endocrine disruptions and genetic
mutations,--leading to neurological and physiological changes that will
affect generations to come. *Thornton, a research fellow at Columbia
University's Center for Environmental Research and Conservation, argues
that the organochlorines, like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), can
"reduce sperm counts, disrupt female reproductive cycles, cause
endometriosis, induce spontaneous abortion, alter sexual behavior,
cause birth defects, impair the development and function of the brain,
reduce cognitive ability, interfere with the controlled development and
growth of body tissues, cause cancer and compromise immunity."

*Joe Thornton from his book Pandora's Poison: Chlorine, Health , and
a New Environmental Strategy
Cambrge: MIT PRess, 2000

I am no longer using plastic cling wraps on any food and definitely
don't heat any plastic containers or use them in a microwave. I don't
recommend the use of a microwave anyway since it turns proteins into
toxic material.

Hi Prad,

In my opinion the doctor speciality is irrelevant in this case. If
you need a doctor, it would be more relevant to do some research about
the doctors inclinations, there may be some with knowledge of
alternative medicine, acupuncture, energetic healing or who knows
maybe some one with electrosensitivity himself.

I am wary of most doctors, I am sure if I go to visit one regarding my
EMF sensitivity, they surely would send me to a real specialist: a
psychiatrist.
