Need help with electromagnetic hypersensitity

gy33gn
I'm a long time computer user, but have never been in a chat room, so
I am just looking for a how to make this work.

Basically, about the middle of April 2006 I began noticing symptoms,
such as prickling on speicfic areas, more generalized tingling,
irritation of nose and mouth, etc. This took place first by the
computer, then all around the house. Then it expanded elsewhere--by
the local power lines in our rural area, for example.

I had just added hi-speed Internet via cable in mid March. Although
it was three-prong I saw that the computer outlet of more than 10
years was not grounded. Over time I then found that the microwave,
and on and on were not grounded. In fact the house was not correctly
grounded. I've had as much of this corrected as possible.

The symptoms have been changing, they vary from day to day, and they
are not specific enough for scientific measurement. I bought a tri-
field meter (Gaussmeter), and with that began all of the testing that
led to changes in the house electircal system. The next step is to
run the power line under ground, to the corner of the house, and into
a new service box--if necessary. I am going to drop the hi-speed but
keep cable. I grounded cable by myself when I found EM flowing
between the cable and its ground to my water pipe. But all of this
goes on and on.

The problem is that I still have the hypersensitivity. I cannot keep
my hand on the computer mouse. I've had to remove clocks from the
bedroom. But I did feel much better during the week I sent to South
Dakota in August.

At this point I need to hear from someone who doesn't look at me
strangely when I try to explain the cirumstances.

Thanks,

Welcome to the group. Your symptoms sound similar to what I went
through 5 years ago. Today, I've still got sensitivities, but
they aren't nearly as bad as they once were, and they don't get
in the way that much anymore.

The improper grounding does seem to be one of the common causes.
Good to hear that you've gotten that fixed. That should help
a little all by itself.

My first question is dental related -- do you have any silver/mercury
dental fillings? One of the theories is that the exposure to
high EMF causes the mercury to vaporize more quickly, and then
you end up with mercury poisoning symptoms whenever you are
exposed to EMF (of course, most dentists claim that this
is impossible).

There is a market for "EMF protection devices", which can provide
a "quick fix", although you are certainly not cured. It's more
like practicing avoidance without having to avoid things as much.
I like the line from QuantumProducts.com -- you could download
and test their computer software for free, and if that seems
to help, you could try their power strip or home unit.

Removal of mercury fillings can also be helpful, but you'd need
to find a dentist who can minimize your exposure during removal,
and it may be helpful to find a doctor/nutritionist who specializes
in chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, etc. who can help
strengthen you prior to removal, and safely get the mercury
out of your body after the fillings are removed (easier
said than done!).

If you don't have much in the way of mercury fillings,
it's still a popular theory that heavy metals and toxicity
are the reason why we react so strongly to EMF, so it
could be aluminum, copper, lead, petrochemicals, etc. that are
causing you problems. Detoxification is the key, but
you have to find a way to detoxify that you can tolerate.

There are also nutritional supplements which seem to add
protection, but I think these simply grab onto toxins to
protect your body -- look at things like kelp, apple pectin,
antioxidants (I find Mega-H noticeably helpful), probiotics,
evening primrose oil. I've also found that high protein
and high fat foods can be helpful, as long as your digestion
isn't compromised as well.

There are other things you can do -- change your monitor,
move it further away from you, reduce its resolution,
wear shoes that have static dissipative soles, etc.

I hope you feel better soon. It took me about a year and a half for
me to start feeling good again, but that time came.

1. Have you a new computer monitor? The new ones ommit toxins. Thats
how it started for me. If so, put it in onther room - open space -
away from you - for a week or two. Let it rid from the chemicals.

2. You should learn more about detoxification. It makes a differnce.

3. try to relive life pressures. Feeling relaxed strengens you.

4. make sure that most of the day you are away from redation.

5. eat well, sring a lot, exersize.

Icould not touch a coputer keyboard just two years ago. No problem
today. It can improve.

Good luck

Hi,

You are certainly not alone!

The best advice I can offer, is to figure out what you are sensitive to,
and either avoid it or shield from it.

Gauss meter is good,
Zap Checker is best for measuring wireless. It is almost as sensitive as
I am.

The less exposure you have, the slower your "disease" will progress, and
some remission is possible.

Address health issues, for you would not be sensitive without having
already run down your body to a red line.
Avoid medical doctors for finding answers, for they are only trained to
handle "known" problems with drug cures.
