Need Help Grounding RV Trailer

JDark
I really thought I knew what to do here. Over a year ago I was at an RV lot and the man there showed me how to ground a trailer. He had this gizmo that was a pipe that stuck in the ground and the wire from that clipped to the bumper.

Word around the ES world is, for us to live there the RV MUST be grounded. I agree.

Now that I have an RV to live in, I asked the service place where I could get such a gizmo and they directed me to my local hardware stores. Useless. The local hardware stores do not want to "help with that". I called the guy that originally showed me and he said to call a mobile home parts shop and they would have it for sure. Now 2 days and a thousand phonecalls later, I feel sick, exhausted, drained and have gotten nowhere. No closer to getting this gizmo that I need to ground my trailer.

If I can get this gizmo I can ground the trailer.  I found one place that would make it for me at the price of an insane fortune. They asked me to find out how long the piece that sticks into the ground needs to be?

I do not think is has to be that long. But do need someone to tell me what length it needs to be?

Also does anyone know where to buy one of these gizmos ready made and maybe where I can order one?

That's all?

Oh I see.  I was going to call them today, but they had left. LOL  I am hoping to get more sleep tonight so I can start tomorrow before they close EST. The train went all night and all morning before it let up for me get a couple hours sleep.  Pain levels were too high too.

Nice to have it ready made.  They were only willing to send me very expensive parts here and then good luck finding someone to make it.  Not made for this.

I would rather support less-emf and our cause, before any one else.

Thank you.

All you really need is a grounding rod and a clamp
plus some wire.  If you go to a hardware store,
the guys will be more than happy to help you out.
trains must emit large amounts of EMF...
metal against metal, moving like a fan.

Re: Need Help Grounding RV Trailer

I have not had a shred of success getting even a shred of help or customer service from most of the local businesses, this included local stores not wanting to be bothered w/ writing up a purchase of a stove/fireplce that cost more than a car.  The local home depot and lowes did not want to be bothered, "with something like that". In another place, I would not have that issue, but here is different.

I have ordered now and waiting on delivery from less emf.  I like that they have it ready made for this purpose and sell the clips to go with. Good service from them in the past.
Note:  The folks as less EMF are not ES, they came up with this idea way back and thought someday there would be a need. Well that day is here and they are busy now.LOL

Funny Patricia:  The trains are very loud, at a horrid sound frequency. The non ES folks that come here, say they would not be able to take staying here period. Most say that you "get used" to living by a train and do not hear it after awhile. Not the case w/ me, as I found out when I lived in Emmaus, PA.

I thought it was just that particular sound frequency that was maybe the issue. I live good metal and other loud things. But these trains going by put a pain in my head between my ears and a sharp pain up and down my spine. When they go constant for hours on end, it is unbareable. Sometimes even one is not tolerable.  I never really associated it w/ ES as the tracks are more than a block away, but you are on to something here. There are cell antennas by the tracks as well. Maybe it does force the waves into the surrounding area.

the emf must measure off the scale next to the tracks.
metal on metal - wheels going round and round...
major EMF.
