A friend of mine came to measure some high frequencies home, with a device called HFE35C.
I thought my Gigaset C300A (house phone) did not emit a lot of high frequencies while not in use, but I was wrong: it does emit a significant amount of radiation (about 600microWatts /m3).
When in use, it emits more than 2000 microWatts/ m3), like my old cell phone.
Well, I put a box I made with alu foil (about 3 layers) on the Gigaset phone, and the measure went down from more than 2000 to 50-60mcWatts!!).
The wifi router, without the box, also emits more than 2000mW, while with the home made Faraday box (a paper box covered with 3 layers of aluminum foil, including the under part of the device) brings it down to 30-80 mcWatts). Yes, from 2000 to 30-80mw.
So the lesson: forget about Gigaset, get a phone with cable.
BUT, my friend has a phone with cable that emits more than 2000microwatts, because it CONNECTS to the cell phone. But instead of emitting 2000mcW sometimes, it emits THE WHOLE TIME. It has a cable!! but it is WORSE than my Gigaset. So he's dumping his phone in the garbage and buying a new one.
And the 2nd lesson: building a simple Faraday cage can diminish emissions CONSIDERABLY and it IS WORTH.
The Gigaset can be measured in the upper floor. When it is not connected to the base, it emits CRAZY frequencies, pulsed, every 3 seconds. So never let it out of the base, build a Faraday cage, the phone still RINGS when someone calls even with the Faraday cage (it does not block the whole radiation).
We tried with metallic mosquito nets, it works very little, not like the Alu foil box.
Anyway, just wanted to write it here...
I'll get another device to measure low frequencies soon.
