Magnesium Oxide has been helping me

Patricia
hello, dear EMS friends.
a friend insisted i take more magnesium and i had
been taking some capsules that didn’t seem to make
a difference, but when i took his suggestion and got
some magnesium oxide, i noticed a difference right away.

i’d been waking in the night and morning hours with
excruciating cramps in my ankles and lower legs.
i’d had mega heavy metal exposure that showed up in
my ankles and eyelids when working for a semiconductor
company, so my ankles were especially vulnerable since
the heavy metals seemed to still be held in place and
triggered by EMR.

since beginning the magnesium oxide (1/4 tsp in water
early in the day) AND using magnesium oil on my feet,
ankles and legs - i haven’t had cramps since - in over
a week or probably more like two-week period.

just thought i’d let you all know in case the same might
be helpful to you.

love, patricia

thanks!

For cramps, magnesium is also my best friend!

I take magnesium citrate though. I tried DOZENS of types of magnesium during the years, and I find mag malate and citrate better due to bioavailability and they cause me less gut problems.

"Bioavailability

The magnesium in some types of supplements is more bioavailable than that in other types.

Magnesium citrate is more easily absorbed and more bioavailable than magnesium oxide, according to a study published in February 1990 in the "Journal of the American College of Nutrition."

Because a higher percentage of the magnesium contained in magnesium citrate supplements is absorbed these supplements do not need to contain as much total magnesium to have the same effect as magnesium oxide supplements."

You can read this Pubmed article telling about the difference between the 2 types of magnesium.

Patricia, everyone has exposure to heavy metals in the world we live today.

I was reading that companies add titanium to children's chocolate!!!

M&M has titanium inside?!!!!

Look at this other Pubmed article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3288463/

"Titanium dioxide is a common additive in many food, personal care, and other consumer products used by people, which after use can enter the sewage system, and subsequently enter the environment as treated effluent discharged to surface waters or biosolids applied to agricultural land, incinerated wastes, or landfill solids.

This study quantifies the amount of titanium in common food products, derives estimates of human exposure to dietary (nano-) TiO2, and discusses the impact of the nanoscale fraction of TiO2 entering the environment.

The foods with the highest content of TiO2 included CANDIES, SWEETS and CHEWING GUMS.

I think there is a difference between people who can detox better and others who can't.

Dr. K believes that his chronic patients cannot detox well, and that is one of the main reasons they fall ill.

Without minerals, we can't detox well.

Without energy boost to the mitochondria, we cannot detox well either.

With LOADS of toxins, our cells get ill and lose potential, so they can't detox well, NOR take nutrients in well.

So it's a sort of eternal hell cycle, we accumulate more heavy metals (as the body can't put them off, and we keep eating, breathing, drinking, rubbing on our bodies through cosmetics and body products, even clothes) and we get more and more ill.

I'm a believer that only by restoring the detox capabilities back, we will be able to live our lives again, and not only just trying to survive with loads of chronic problems....

Among personal care products, toothpastes and select sunscreens contained 1% to >10% titanium by weight. "

It's good to see others are also benefiting from magnesium. I also take oxide and high absorption chelated magnesium glycinate. I think the application of magnesium oil is probably the better than any oral type although it's generally doesn't feel so great on the skin. It works for me if I leave it on for 5 minutes and wash it off in the shower.

Are you talking about Epsom salts?

https://blog.lucybee.co/lucy-bee-guides/guide-3-mineral-salts/

I found this guide about 3 types of salts, including Epsom and Dead Sea Salts.

I use Dead Sea salt for more than a decade, and I do use it through the skin (as I dislike the taste of Dead Sea salt).

I use to bathe my feet on very hot water and quite a lot of Dead Sea salt, and it does feel wonderful.

Every time I do that, I feel my gut moving, my head gets lighter, I do feel some deep relaxation.

I bathe either feet or feet and hands. I do not wash the salt off though.

I'm using infrared light pulsed in certain Nogier frequencies in the last 5 years or so, to increase penetration of these salts.

I also like the glycinate form of magnesium! That was the one I forgot!
Glycinate, malate and citrate, these are my favorite (easy to take, and I feel almost an immediate result).

Jinna,

The magnesium oil I'm using is magnesium chloride brine out of a spray bottle. I guess this is a type of seabed salt extracted into an oil? I haven't tried epsom salts yet, but I bet it would work for me as well.

Thanks, everyone for sharing your experience with magnesium.
I read an article about magnesium on naturalNews.com and
decided to switch from mag oxide to mag glycinate and also
take dolomite for the calcium.
i do think magnesium is vital for most people to supplement
because Americans don’t eat many high-mag foods.
They say 60% of us might be deficient.
I surely am or it wouldn’t make such a difference when i take it.
I make my own magnesium oil by mixing nigari with water…

Much love,
Patricia

Well, I think there are many reasons to feel good on magnesium!

It's one of the few supplements I keep taking on and off. In the off periods, I do realize after a while, that something is missing!!

Here is some more info (not in details, but it gives an idea of HOW important magnesium is).

It also relaxes muscles, reducing tension...

------------------------
http://www.ancient-minerals.com/magnesium-benefits/what-is-function/

Magnesium regulates and maintains:

Enzyme activity, enabling thousands of bio-chemical processes

Energy production and ATP, the energy storage unit of the body’s cells

DNA and RNA, the body’s internal instructions for building proteins and new cells

Mineral balance, necessary to maintain cell life

-------------------------
Magnesium is the second most abundant element inside human cells and the fourth most abundant positively charged ion in the human body.

Within the body’s cells, it serves literally hundreds of functions.

In nature, magnesium can be found in many different forms, bonded with other atoms, such as:

Magnesium chloride, found naturally in the sea
Magnesite, the insoluble rock salt also known as magnesium carbonate
In plant matter, as the central element in chlorophyll

Salt Water Cure
In reply to this post by Patricia
Magnesium sulphate (Epsom Salts) is one of the salts I regularly take to ward off ES.
