We have to buy electricity from the city. I don't know how much control the city coucil has over the utility, in reality, but I would like to begin mailing members info about the dangers of Smart Meters.

I haven't found one, but if you do, please post it.
I personally have a huge file of info from the web which I'm trying to consolidate to make flyers for the neighborhood, but I'm already so sick from EHS, CFIDS and MCS, it's being an exercise in futility. Our utility company, (PG&E in Northern California) is currently peppering the air waves with TV ads showing happy, elderly people who are delighted that now they can track their energy usage to cut costs and save money. What the ads don't show is the PG&E just got a rate hike on low-end energy users, and a rate reduction on high-end energy users from the PUC. (Gosh, those people in mansions with their swimming pools really need a break, don't they?) The hypocrisy is stunning. But they can't make their outrageous profits by people cutting back on energy use, and that's what it's really all about, isn't it? They've also proposed to the PUC an "opt-out option" for people who don't want smart meters. It involves installing the smart meter and turning the radio function off for a huge fee, and then charging a monthly fee for a meter reader, and then charging a huge exit fee if the resident moves. Of course, the SMPS (the non-radio part of the meter) also causes EMF problems, and is probably responsible for the ringing-in-the ears and spikes on the house's internal wiring. They are furiously installing smart meters in S.F. without notice to the customer ahead of time. People who don't want one might end up getting one when they are not home. If people refuse, PG&E is now threatening them with discontinuation of service, and tells them they can use another power company---except there isn't another power company. I'm furious, and also terrified because I'm too sick to move from here. In my wildest dream, I never imagined such an Orwellian scenario becoming my reality. Hi, Esther,
I don't have the info packet you are asking for, however, I wanted to mention that the tv show "Law and Order:La"--I believe that was the show--aired a segment 2 or 3 weeks ago where the killer was caught because the police could monitor his smart meter utility use during the time of the crime. This show was being used, but this just goes to show how pervasive the brain-washing for smart-meters is getting. But this also plays in our favor, and wise anti-smart-meter people can point out the facts that this is a meter which can be used against the "little people"--to monitor their use and keep tabs on them (not only in a meter monitoring way), so that the rich can resume their lavish life-styles and the authorities will always know what the others are up to. I hope you can find the info you are seeking quickly, Esther. I suggest that those concerned about RF-broadcasting meters check out www.electricalpollution.com. The hostess, Catherine Kleiber, heads an activist group re the meters. Shivani Arjuna www.LifeEnergies.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Thanks, Diane.
I heard a true story where the police got a warrant to search a house because of their high energy use suspecting that they were growing marijuana. No. The people just used a lot of electricity. That this is already happening is very scary. PG&E says they won't share our info with others. Ha! The net is closing in and most people are oblivious. I just cringe at the thought of people monitoring me. I'm a VERY private person, and need to feel free to be "myself" in my own home. It's nobody's business what I am doing when I am at home.
