I thought I'd pass this along because ultimately getting a hart to the deployment of these deadly radiation emitting devices will help us all.
Dear Smart Meter complainant, Thank you for your continuing action to stop forced deployment of smart utility meters on your home and in your community. A number of grassroots organizations around the country who are fighting smart meters are preparing lawsuits including an injunction at the federal level to stop smart meter deployment in Naperville, Illinois. Here is a link to more information about that lawsuit: http://www.napervillesmartmeterawareness.org/federal-lawsuit/ If successful, this lawsuit could set a national precedent. What is needed now are signed legal declarations from people who have been harmed by utility smart meter programs, across the United States. If you have been harmed, or know someone who has been, it is critical that you complete a declaration describing the injury, including dates, details, and any documentation from insurance companies, doctors, etc. Declarations are particularly needed by April 11th, 2012 but will be accepted after that date. Here's what to do: 1. Read the sample declaration below. 2. Please fill this out with your details, and make sure to sign at the bottom. 3. Make a copy for your own records. 4. If your complaint is health related, submit a copy to your County Health Dept. 5. By sending us your declaration you agree that we may share your document with legal counsel, public health and safety professionals, and government officials. 6. Put signed declaration in an envelope- include your full contact information and send to: Smart Meter Help! PO Box 30 Davenport, CA 95017 Thank you for your attention to this pressing matter. Make sure that all complaints are logged at the SmartMeterHelp.Com website (if they haven't already been). Please forward this message to others who may have been harmed. Also please support these organizing efforts with a financial contribution- we could really use your support! Hi Robin/snoshoe,
Hmmm...... Good questions. I'm trying to figure out what the answers are. The info I posted came from Joshua Hart of stopsmartmeters.org and smartmeterhelp.com. His e-mail address is : [hidden email] I think what he's asking for is that people who have been harmed use the format at the end of his e-mail to write up their Declaration, make a hard copy and mail it to the address noted, which is (I believe) the address for the stopsmartmeters.org grassroots organization, by April 11, 2012 if possible. Then they will submit the declarations to help with the lawsuit(s). I , too, didn't see any links to on any of the sites to that specific lawsuit or a form letter a person can fill out, so I think one just has to follow the format to create their Declaration (below). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Declaration of <insert full name> I, <insert full name>, have personal knowledge of all facts set forth in this declaration and am competent to testify thereto if called upon to testify in a court of law. I hereby declare: 1. My name is <insert full name>, and I reside at <insert address, city state and zip> 2. I am a utility customer of <insert name of utility company/ companies> <Using a numbered list- (eg. 3,4, etc ) write out point by point your situation and complaint against the utility. Include dates and specific details of any injury, loss, or violation suffered. This is a legally binding document. You must be truthful to the best of your knowledge. End your declaration with the following wording:> I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. I have personal knowledge of all facts set forth in this declaration and am competent to testify thereto if called upon to testify in a court of law. This declaration was executed this <insert date> day of <insert month>, <insert year> at <insert city>, <insert state>. /s/ <Sign your full name here> <Make sure to remove all brackets and replace with specified wording> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, if you go to smartmeterhelp.com, you can write up a complaint online (fill-in) which the group will include in a data base, and use in a variety of ways, as explained on the site. It says they will also notify you of any legal actions you can participate in. I did submit my complaint on that site quite a while ago, which may be why I got the notice about this Federal suit from them. Doing that, however, is different from doing the above declaration which obviously is more for legal purposes. Hope this helps....
